Something Happened

Zaya sighed and tried to arrange a word. Then he ventured to look towards Evan's adoptive Mother.

"Are you currently giving me the green light, Madam?" Ask Zaya curiously.

"Don't you see for yourself if I've been married before and had a child. Does Madam really mind if Evan's sister marries a widow like me?" Ask again.

Mother Lift Evan smiled knot.

"What if you're a widow?" He even asked back.

Zaya is out of words and doesn't know what to answer. From the beginning it was clear that both adoptive parents Evan had a mindset that was somewhat different from most people.

"Being a widow doesn't mean we're bad, Zaya. For me divorce is a misfortune for a woman, because it means that the woman is married to the wrong man."

Mother Lift Evan sighed for a moment.

"Originally you know, before I married Evan's father, I was married and divorced first. My first marriage can be said to be my misfortune. Almost every day I can only cry for marrying a man who does not love and appreciate me at all. Until finally divorce became the only way for me to let go of suffering."

Then the middle-aged woman looked towards Zaya with a faint smile.

"Then I married Evan's father. The man who loved me a long time ago, whom I had never known before. He accepted me for who I was, even though up until now I couldn't give him any offspring. To be honest, I didn't love him at first. All my love I have given completely to my ex-husband who has wasted me. But then her affection and tenderness made me slowly wither until I was finally unable to turn away."

Mother Lift Evan again smiled.

"So what's wrong with getting a widow's son-in-law? As long as she's a good girl and my son is happy, I don't think it's all right." Added again.

Zaya was at a loss for words. Adoptive Mother Evan really has an open mind. Initially Zaya thought, because it included as a high-class woman, Evan's Adoptive Mother would look down on Zaya. But it turns out Zaya's guess was wrong. The woman in front of him is also very wise. It's lucky that Evan can get a mother this good. Especially the woman who will become his daughter-in-law. Zaya commented on a smile.

Evan's foster mother was right. It's not easy to have to re-interact with Aaron when they have divorced like now. If she can choose, Zaya does not want to see her ex-husband again. Mother Lift Evan nodded his head.

"Now I understand why Evan can't turn his back on you, Zaya. That's because all this time he's never found a woman comparable to you. A woman with a heart as sincere as you, I thought it only existed in fairyland, it still exists in this world." He said while laughing.

Then the middle-aged woman looked back at Zaya.

"Hopefully one day you can open your heart to Evan." Genuinely muttered.

Zaya was a little stunned for a moment. He simply responded to Evan's adoptive mother's words with a smile, not knowing what to respond to.

Zaya has no plans to open her heart to anyone. Whether in the future he will be in a relationship with someone again or not, let time will answer.

Soon Aaron and Albern arrived. Aaron says goodbye first to return to the hotel because suddenly there is urgent business. While Zaya and Albern still continue the introductory event with the two adoptive parents Evan.

By late afternoon Zaya and Albern had just returned to the hotel where he was staying.

Zaya knitted her eyebrows together when she saw that Aaron and Dean were well-dressed and ready with their suitcases. They looked like people who were ready to check out. While Kara stood not far from them along with a young woman that Zaya had never seen before.

"Mrs." Dean bowed to Zaya.

Aaron's approaching Zaya.

"Me and Dean have to come back right now. Something's going on at the company." He said with a serious face. Then he beckoned the woman who was near Kara to come closer.

"This is one of my people, her name is Samantha. You can continue your vacation accompanied by Samantha. He'll take care of all your needs until you get home." Bright Aaron.

The girl named Samantha bowed respectfully to Zaya.

"What's going on?" Ask Zaya.

Aaron was silent for a moment, then sighed.

"Come with me for a minute." Petanya. Aaron steps back inside his room by gesturing for Zaya to follow him.

Zaya is confused. But then he decided to obey Aaron. He followed the man into the hotel room.

"What's wrong?" Ask Zaya again with question marks.

Aaron was still silent for a while while staring at Zaya. Suddenly he approached Zaya leaving very little distance between them.

Aaron looked deeper and deeper at Zaya, until Zaya became more confused.

"You're gonna give me a chance, right?" Ask lirih.

Zaya increasingly linked her eyebrows because she did not understand Aaron's question.

"Please promise me, Zaya. Promise me you won't choose anyone until I prove everything I say to you. I may have to clear something up first, and before that's done, please don't make any decisions first regarding your choice." Pinta Aaron again with great hope.

Zaya was stunned digesting Aaron's words. Does that mean Aaron was asking to wait for him? So what will Aaron do? Something serious happened at his company.

"What's really going on, Aaron? Is there something bad going on in your company?" Ask Zaya again.

Aaron seemed to take a long breath.

"Everything will be fine as long as you're willing to give me a chance to prove yourself to you." He said once again in a hopeful tone.

Zaya observed Aaron for a while. I don't know why he feels Aaron seems so fragile at the moment. And it seems that something very serious happened to him, even though Zaya didn't know what it was.

Inevitably Zaya finally nodded.

"All right, it's up to you." Answer Zaya

"But everything's gonna be okay, right?" Zaya added again anxiously. It's nothing, if something bad happens to Aaron, then Albern will definitely be affected as well. And Zaya didn't want her son to get into trouble.

"Thank you, I kept your promise. Now everything's gonna be okay." Aaron smiles.

Zaya. Never before had he seen Aaron's smile so bright as it was today. Suddenly Zaya regretted her words earlier agreeing to Aaron's request just like that.

Then the unexpected returned to make Zaya buy his eyes. Aaron grabbed Zaya's body and took Zaya into his arms. The man hugged Zaya tightly until Zaya's body froze in shock.

For a moment Zaya stared. But then he regained his senses and tried to let go of the hug.

"Just a moment." Brisking Aaron slowly. His voice sounded in demand, just like a plea.

Zaya fell silent and did not break the embrace. He felt Aaron was inhaling his scent like he had done when hugging Aaron first. It was as if the man was gathering strength by hugging Zaya's body.

Zaya also realized. It seems like something has happened that is not simple and quite difficult for Aaron to deal with. But what Zaya doesn't understand, why is Aaron now acting like Zaya is the source of his power? Hasn't Aaron been a man who doesn't depend on anyone?

For the umpteenth time, Aaron made Zaya have to think hard. But this time Zaya was too tired to think and decided to let Aaron do what he wanted.
