Zaya returned Aaron's gaze with an elusive look. He observed Aaron as if he was judging Aaron's sincerity over his words just now.

"Of course, you're the one who just wants to talk about the sure thing. Then why are you wondering now?" ask Zaya with the sarcasm.

Aaron was stunned to hear Zaya's response. As if not believe if the sentence is spoken from the mouth of someone who has always been gentle with him.

"I'm just looking for a possibility, there's still a chance for me to correct the mistake I've made." Aaron then smiled wryly.

I want us to get back together for Albern's happiness. Will you come back with me, Zaya?" ask Aaron again, this time in a hopeful tone.

Zaya was silent for a moment with a pushy look.

"Then us? Would we be happy to be back together, Aaron?" tanyanya irony.

Aaron could not answer. He looked at Zaya but could not answer anything.

Zaya stared straight ahead rather glaringly. Then his eyes dimmed and fell down.

"Of course I care a lot about Albern's happiness. I would do anything to get her to smile again. I will not hesitate to welcome your helping hand if you offer me friendship for Albern. I will be very willing to work with you to make her as happy as she is today. But Aaron, to come back to you, it's never been on my mind since I left." Zaya murmured later.

"You don't even know me right. If we get back together, we'll just repeat a sad story." Zaya added. This time it sounded sad and full of wounds.

"I will try not to repeat my mistakes first, Zaya" replied Aaron trying to convince.

Zaya smiled wryly. Then he turned to Aaron and looked at the man.

"Do you know when I have my birthday?" tanyanya.

Aaron was stunned with a bit of surprise. He was confused as to what to answer, because he did not know the answer.

"Do you also know my favorite colors and what my favorite foods are? You don't even know what I'm allergic to" she added sadly.

Aaron remained silent without being able to answer. He knows nothing about Zaya. And that adds to the length of his list of regrets.

Zaya smiled bitterly again.

"You don't know me, Aaron. How could you ask me to come back with you." she later explained.

"Then let me know you." Aaron suddenly opened his voice. He looked at Zaya expectantly.

Zaya sighs.

"I've always opened myself up for seven years, Aaron. You are the one who has not looked at me all this time. But it's all over. Now we've been walking each other's streets. And I think this is what's best for us." Zaya finally said.

Aaron was stunned again.

Zaya refused. Given how Aaron has been treated for their seven years together, it is only natural that Zaya cannot take Aaron back for granted.

Aaron has ignored her and distanced Zaya with his own son. And worst of all, Aaron divorced her for no apparent reason. And now the guy says he wants to come back? How could Zaya just take it.

Zaya is devastated when Aaron divorces her. He tried to get up with all his might to survive. Withstanding the extreme pain, Zaya tried to reorganize her life and heart. But why now when he was starting to live a normal life, Aaron instead came closer and seemed to think it meant something.

Zaya was silent, not knowing what to respond to.

" It was you who always tried to please me and tried to take my heart. Now it's my turn. I'll chase you and fight to get your heart too." Aaron added steadily.

Zaya opens her mouth to refute Aaron's words, but Aaron gives her no chance. Aaron makes Zaya lose her words for covering Zaya's mouth with his palm.

"Don't turn me down now. Let me fight first for you, then you can see and determine whether or not I am worthy of you. If you are still dissatisfied afterwards and reject me, then I will respect your decision." he said, looking straight into Zaya's eyes.

Zaya was flabbergasted, not believing what she had just heard. Aaron Brylee asks to be given a chance to fight for him. It's unbelievable. He's not kidding, is he?

Suddenly the voice of the little boy surprised the two of them.

"Mama... Papa's..."

Zaya and Aaron turned. Albern looked awake and had been standing not far from the two of them.

Soon Aaron pulled his hand from Zaya, then approached the boy. Zaya also approached Albern.

"Why wake up, honey?" zaya asked as she guided Albern back to bed.

"Al doesn't sleep alone. Al wants to be accompanied by Mama." whine.

Zaya smiled.

"alright. Come on, let's go back to sleep." he asked while lying down on the bed next to Albern.

Albern nodded. But instead of closing his eyes, the boy turned to look at Aaron who was standing not far from the bed

"Al wanted to be accompanied by Papa as well." Albern's request immediately surprised Zaya and Aaron.

"Papa.." saw Aaron who did not budge, Albern whined, so inevitably Aaron approached.

"All right." murmured Aaron later.

"But Al has to go to sleep again, yeah. It's still night" he said again, laying on the other side of Albern.

Albern nodded with a happy smile. Then closed his eyes again.

Zaya closed her eyes. Trying not to be distracted by Aaron's presence.

And soon, both Zaya and Albern, both fell asleep. It left Aaron who was looking at the two of them with a faint smile.

Slowly Aaron stretched out to touch the hand of Zaya who was hugging Albern, but he did not do it.

Aaron pulled his hand back and clasped it in the air.

'Now I will fight for you, Zaya. No matter how many times you will reject me, I will never give up. This time I will never let you go again.'
