Zaya smothered her slightly open mouth with her own palm. His eyes were still staring at the person standing in front of him. Past memories of that person also appeared like a replayed movie.
"Sister Evan.... Are you really Evan's sister?" muttered Zaya in a soft voice.
His chest suddenly rumbled, as if he wanted to vaporize something that had been buried for a very long time. This figure before him, was he really the big brother who always protected Zaya when she was a child? Is he really the man Zaya's been waiting for? Is he really Evan, the older brother who once left him because he was adopted by a rich family?
The man smiled as he looked at Zaya meaningfully.
"I finally found you, Dee." she said.
Zaya stunned. Tears suddenly escaped from his eye.
Dee, only Evan called her with that call. Evan took it from the word 'Diandra', Zaya's last name. He used to deliberately make that call in order to be able to call Zaya with a special call that was not the same as others.
"Sister Evan..." Zaya's cry broke without being held back again. This guy in front of her is really Evan. The man who had broken her heart by losing her when she was very young. The man that Zaya always longed for even though his face had been faintly remembered by Zaya.
Zaya did not expect, after more than twenty-two years, she could finally meet again with her guardian angel.
Evan approached and sat himself beside Zaya. Her lips still held a sweet smile. Then they looked at each other.
Evan reached out his hand and pinched Zaya's nose, just like he used to do.
"It turns out you're still as whiny as you used to be" he said.
Zaya grimacing. He laughed at his stuffing.
Evan's figure looked the same as he remembered. The man will pinch Zaya's nose while Zaya is crying. Then she would give Zaya some chocolate candy to persuade Zaya to stop crying.
"You want chocolate candy?" evan's voice suddenly scattered Zaya's daydream. It appears that the man handed Zaya some candy wrappers on his hands.
Zaya looked at the sweets emotionally. With a bit of trembling his hand stretched out to take one, but when his fingers touched the end of the candy wrapper, his cry broke again, then he unconsciously humped Evan's body and hugged him.
"Why so long? My brother said he'd pick me up when it worked. My brother said he would visit me often. Why are you lying?" his sobbing while still hugging tightly to Evan.
With a slight hesitation Evan returned Zaya's embrace. Then his hands gently patted Zaya's back to calm her down. The same thing he did to calm Zaya down when they were little.
"I'm sorry I never visited you" Evan said.
"But I kept my promise to pick you up, I came five years ago. But no one there knows where you are and no one has your contact number either." Evan explained.
Zaya fell silent and broke her embrace. He looked into Evan's eyes as if he wanted to see if Evan was lying right now. And Zaya didn't find the lie
"I'm looking for you, Dee. Ever since I came back, I've been trying to find you. I even put up a picture of you on my social media account, hoping you'd see it and give me some news. But I couldn't find you for five years" Evan added.
Zaya heard it.
"really?" ogre.
Evan nodded.
Zaya. Evan may have been looking for her five years ago. Zaya is now Aaron's wife. Aaron's house was like a sex hole to him. Of course no one will find him.
"My adoptive parents moved to Singapore exactly a week after adopting me. That's why I can't visit you." said Evan again.
Zaya simply fell silent and digested Evan's words.
"I'm sorry if I take too long. I couldn't find you all this time. And to be honest, I've run out of ways to find you. Fortunately now, I accidentally met you." said Evan again.
Zaya remained silent and did not know what to respond to. So all this time the figure of his childhood brother was looking for him. There was a sudden warm feeling running through her. It turns out that this is Evan instead of accidentally forgetting it, it's just a situation that does not allow them to meet.
Zaya relieved. The man who he considered as his guardian angel when he was a child, turned out to still remain the same figure after a long time.
"So... Brother is now a doctor?" ask Zaya at last.
Evan nodded.
"Yes. Heart Specialist Doctor." he added.
Zaya smiled. He was happy to hear Evan managed to achieve his goals. Being a Heart Specialist Doctor is the ideal of Evan who Evan had told himself to Zaya. Not without reason, it's because both of Evan's biological parents both died of heart disease.
"You also seem to have succeeded, Dee. Have a cafe that is quite advanced and already has several branches. I'm really proud. Dee, who used to cry because he was bullied by his friends, has now managed to become a young businessman who has many employees." Evan smiled back at Zaya.
"And also, she has now grown into a very beautiful girl. Fortunately I have found it." continued Evan again with a tone full of meaning.
Zaya looked at Evan. Evan was looking at her too. Their eyes met for a while.
"How did you recognize me?" ask Zaya.
Evan did not answer. He turned his eyes the other way and looked a little bright.
"I always remember your face, Dee. For me, the smile and laughter I saw before you fainted makes no difference to your smile and laughter when you were a child. No matter what age you are, I will always recognize you." he said.
Evan looked back at Zaya who was somewhat stunned.
"But it seems you don't recognize me anymore. Yeah, right?" tanyakanya.
Zaya was a bit surprised by Evan's question. He honestly did not remember Evan's face anymore. The only thing that made him realize if this man in front of him was his protective brother first, was the birthmark that was on Evan's back.
"Don't remember, huh?" ask Evan again.
Zaya this time was a bit of an eighth made.
Evan chuckled as he ruffled Zaya's hair. One more thing he often did to Zaya when they were little.
" It's okay. Because now that we have met, there will be plenty of time ahead for us to spend together, so that you can remember my face again. And this time I won't let you forget it." Evan looked at Zaya deeply and meaningfully.
Zaya also returned Evan's gaze and tried to find the true meaning of the last sentence Evan said to her. But because he still did not understand it too much, Zaya finally chose to ignore the words. The most important thing is that now he has again met a figure from the past who he always awaits his arrival.
Zaya hopes that after this her days will become more beautiful.
