As she said a while back, Jessie was hard to guess. As of now, he and the woman were already sitting at the same table while enjoying
the food served. Jessie, the woman has been aware of Xavier's whereabouts ever since she left her house.
"You're pretending you don't see me" said Xavier, "When have you been?"
Jessie calmly shrugged her shoulders indifferently. "Since you've been standing at the door of your car maybe."
Does that mean it's been since the beginning of his arrival? This woman really!
"Ck!" Xavier clucked.
"So that's why you didn't refuse to marry me. Your parents' wishes too? I shouldn't have been afraid when you threatened to cancel, '" she sighed.
Jessie remained calm while putting her spoon and fork slowly so as not to sound. "Xavier, you know what hurts me the most
this is?" Jessie looked at the man deeply.
"Fulfilling my parents' wishes when both are gone" he said later. "But that doesn't mean I'm afraid this marriage is a failure" he continued, looking at Xavier's strange gaze.
"You still have both, Xavier. You can still be happy and fulfill their wishes for real. Not like me." Jessie's Voice
it changed smoothly, but only for a moment before someone realized it. But Xavier was aware of that.
"I've always been stubborn" Jessie continued.
The man cleared his throat, turning his attention to the streets outside. I don't know why he couldn't bear to see that sad face for just a second. There was a slight feeling of fear making the woman's heart hurt.
Jessie was holding herself back to keep looking calm. If not carefully considered, who will realize if Jessie can
grieve. Just look at her expression now as if nothing had happened just now.
This woman is an expert at controlling feelings!
"You're not working?" ask Xavier suddenly. He was confused by his own question.
"You're not working?" Jessie asked back.
"Close to me" replied Xavier.
"Close to me" Jessie replied as well.
Xavier looked at her in annoyance. It was true that this woman could compensate. So far no one has dared to argue with him, let alone make him run out of words. Jessie managed to keep him from picking up many times.
"May I ask you a request?" Jessie asked.
"You always act and talk as you please. Did I not hear wrong?" It was obvious that Xavier was mocking.
"Say," he said later when he saw Jessie not budging.
"Pretend to be happy during the wedding" Jessie pinta.
Xavier looked at him with a shrunken forehead.
Xavier couldn't believe this woman wanted such a thing. Looks like Jessie appreciates the decisions of others. Xavier begins to understand a Jessie by her nature and behavior.
One of them is now. If Jessie always acts and talks as she pleases because it is Jessie's right, while asking to pretend herself
because it is his right and his. Jessie doesn't control what's not hers.
"You know in the end it's just gonna be a waste, right?" Jessie won't do anything in vain. That's the woman's motto, "All for your parents?"
"Who said this would be for nothing." Jessie smiled meaningfully.
"What are you planning?" Jessie just put her shoulders down.
The atmosphere was quite tense for a while before Jessie's phone rang on the table, breaking the silence between the two.
"Your relationship seems to be more than just superiors and subordinates" Xavier said when he saw Valerie's name on the main screen.
It's not a question but a statement.
"Maybe."
"What?" jessie asked without further ado as soon as she answered her phone.
"Mrs. Austin was waiting in front of my room," Valerie replied heard by Xavier.
"Just be honest."
"You crazy?" Valerie squealing.
"What does he want?"
"Of course I am! And you're. Only we know about Lawrence, remember." You could say that.
"Good." Jessie ended the call immediately after saying that one word.
Xavier stared curiously at the content of their conversation. He couldn't have heard wrongly when Jessie said the command line to Valeria. This woman's status was definitely not that simple.
"Me and Valeria have been together since High School." Jessie answered the suspicions in Xavier. Indirectly say if they are close because they are friends.
"Alright, Xavier. Just here enough. See you again on the wedding day. I hope you heard my request just now. See you soon."
Without waiting for Xavier's answer, Jessie simply passed by.
