"Why just look at it? She's yours, take it back, " said the middle-aged woman to her daughter. The woman is still beautiful and youthful, hardly noticeable signs of premature aging.
"He looked at me very sharply. I'm afraid, Mom," replied the princess, who was watching from behind the hospital wall.
A man sits in a wheelchair with several bandages bandaging his head and around his arms and legs accompanied by a middle-aged pair who are his parents.
The man realized that the person looking at him immediately gave a sharp look until the girl went back into hiding.
"Lawrence's." The mother touched his shoulder. Concerned about his daughter's condition.
Before long the man's father began to push his wheelchair away, leaving the hallway of their room. Only the mother remained.
"I'll catch up" said his mother, "take Xavier away first." The husband nodded.
The mother of the girl finally came out to approach the woman her age by holding her daughter.
"Rachel," call her.
"Sophia!" Rachel hugged her best friend in relief.
"How's it?"
"My son is fine. He just needs rest to recuperate and his injuries," he replied happily.
His son who does not like hospitals wants to be quickly discharged even though his condition is not so stable post-surgery. That's why they left the hospital after a week of accidents.
"I'm happy." Sophia was relieved, though there was an anxious look on her face when she saw her daughter.
"Lawrence, right? Thank you so much, Honey." Rachel hugged the girl who just turned nineteen a week ago.
Thanks to Lawrence, his son was saved. Rachel was so grateful for that.
"Diminish your voice, Rachel," Sophia scolded.
"ah! I'm sorry." He just remembered that Lawrence's identity can not be known by others.
"You're so pretty." Then she rubbed Lawrence's smooth cheek.
"You never introduced me to Lawrence. If nothing happened to this, I probably wouldn't know you had two daughters!" it was Sophia who had introduced Lawrence to him a week ago.
"Lawrence is a little shy. He's always hiding."
"Because you hid it too!" Rachel hit Sophia's arm slowly.
Lawrence hasn't said a word since. His mind was on Xavier. His gaze was fixed on the empty hallway, where Xavier disappeared.
"Why?" Rachel touched Lawrence's shoulder. The girl flinched. Rachel chuckled at him.
"You're interested in Xavier?" ask Lawrence as she gently nudged Sophia's body to code.
"He has no lover. I don't mind setting up kal—"
"No!" lawrence answered quickly.
"Lawrence?" Sophia was surprised by her daughter's response. Whys? Isn't good. It means they can be together again.
"But .." continued Lawrence for a moment, "please don't let him marry anyone else."
"Yes?" Rachel and Sophia were equally surprised. Whatdoes thatmean?
"Wait for me to decide" Lawrence continued.
__ — ------------
"He forgot Lawrence?!"
"Jess, lower your voice" Sophia rebuked her first daughter. The daughter he introduced to Rachel as well. Wa
"Oh my God, why is it like this?" Jess looks compassionately at her brother who has been daydreaming in the window of her room since Xavier's accident.
"Rachel doesn't know about their relationship. That's why others think Xavier's okay. Only the memory of Lawrence has disappeared."
Sophia touched Jess's shoulder. "Speak to her." Jess nodded.
Jess approached Lawrence who was sitting hugging her knees while looking up at the sky. His sister lost her passion for life. Love can change people. Jess was only able to chuckle inwardly.
He sat down next to her, then hugged the younger brother who had jumped because of his arrival.
"Sister?"
"I wonder where my night storyteller went." Jess tried to cheer up.
Lawrence smiled faintly though there was still a trace of sadness on his face.
"You're already big. I don't have any more stories."
True, his love story is over here. There will be no more enthusiastic girls who tell their hearts.
"It's a shame." Jess pretends to be sad.
"Begging your girlfriend to read it to you" Lawrence said.
"Well, I don't have a boyfriend." Still putting on his sad face.
"Hey! What did you say?!" Jess's upset.
"I'm just kidding, brother." Hugging the older brother while showing his neat teeth. The sadness is a little less.
"You just calm down. I'll get you to marry someone!" entertain Lawrence.
"Then marry me to Xavier!"
Lawrence immediately silenced with an unreadable look. Jess soon realizes her mistake.
"I'm just kidding, Lawrence. Don't be so serious."
"Just calm down." Lawrence is smiling.
Jess smiled as well. "We can't get married. It's free, the end is always bad. It was like a curse," said Jess sighing, along looking at the star-filled night sky.
"I know why you quit" Jess continued. "He just forgot about you, you can make him fall in love again. But you do realize it's useless, right?"
Lawrence fell silent. He used to not believe it, but after Xavier's incident, Lawrence realized that it was a sign.
"What if you think it's wrong?" Lawrence looked at the older brother, "not the curse, but the man."
"You mean?"
"There's nothing wrong with a curse or a marriage, but the person who went through that marriage."
Jess lifted the corner of her lips. Although his sister was still very naive, he was not so stupid either. "Then let's try. We have to prove it ourselves."
The two embrace each other. Despite living two different lives, they accept each other's destiny.
"Nr ...."
"Hmm?"
Lawrence looked up at Jess. "I love you."
Jess laughed, "What's wrong with you?"
"I'm serious!" Lawrence pouting.
"Haha ... Excuse me. I love you too, of course! I love you all."
"Now tell me what's up?" Lawrence looked seriously.
"What?"
"Lawrence," he rebuked.
The girl was silent for a moment, then said, "I've had a bad dream lately."
Hearing that, Jess' premonition became unpleasant.
"I dreamed about the accident. Xavier lives well. He married and had children. While I— I will die. Everyone is crying for me. Mom and dad also come with me—"
"Lawrence!" Unknowingly Jess snapped, "don't say that." His voice almost whispered, holding the rumble in his chest. Tears flowed at the end of his eyes.
"You'll be fine, I promise."
"I know." Lawrence smiled, "maybe I will be reborn and become his wife."
"Yes, I'll exchange lives if you have to die first."
"What are you talking about?" Sophia came to join. The woman heard all the words of the two and came to stop.
Sophia wiped away Jess's tears.
"Lawrence, don't say anything like that again!" reprimand Sophia, "look at your sister crying."
"Sorry," he replied.
"Mom, it's not her fault." Jess defends.
Sophia sighed. He sat in the middle of both. He took two grown daughters. The two do not actually live together, only Jess who often comes to visit because she joined her father after they divorced.
"You are our beloved princesses. You two are the same in mom and dad's eyes. Thank you for not hating me and your father."
"Mom—"
"Please promise me one thing." Staring at his two daughters, "whatever happens to us in the future, don't let a single tear drop in your eyes! No tears to weep for our departure."
"Mom!"
Sophia hated to see the tears flowing in Jess' eyes. Although only a trace remained, it showed its weak side.
"You should smile. Mom doesn't want any sadness between the two of you."
"Particularly you're Lawrence. Be firm! Pursue what is yours. Whatever the outcome, you've worked hard."
"Sorry, we're hiding you from everyone."
