This is where Jessie set her foot back. After a journey of nearly eight hours from New York City to Helsinki, the capital of Finland. The country ranked first as the happiest city in the world as well as the largest city in Finland.
That being said, because Helsinki has a charm of beauty that spoils the residents and visitors.
Jessie observed every trip by looking at the bustle of the bustling city. There will be a festival in the city every year. Unfortunately the festival had ended before he came.
This is his birthplace. Witness of all his teenage journeys. Even so, his life is not as happy as the nickname of this city.
In this beautiful city, all the bad memories are engraved.
The driver who took him finally stopped right in front of a large mansion in classic European style. Edgar was already standing at the door welcoming his presence.
Jessie came out looking in wonder around her that was filled with cars.
"The big master's throwing a little party to raise Lawrence's office."
"What a coincidence," Jessie's lips followed Edgar in. His arrival only visited the big master for a while, not hearing a lot of licks from the upper classes there.
"You don't have to go there if you don't want to, Miss. The waiter has prepared the room."
"They must be complaining about me, right? I have to keep grandpa's ears!"
They turned towards the backyard where the party was held. Sure enough, the crowd immediately enveloped. The women and men from young to old were all present there.
The existence of Edgar that attracted the attention of many people. Plus there was a woman with him. It made all the attention go straight to him.
It was like they had never seen a woman!
Most are barely blinking. His charm is not in doubt even though he only wears casual clothes along with sneakers.
They stopped as soon as they arrived in front of an old man with his white hair who had eaten his age.
The old? Jessie wasn't sure what to call it that way because her face was still handsome with her body fit.
Jessie chuckled inwardly laughing at her expedition imagining an old man who had been limping around holding a cane.
I suspect grandpa did the oplas!
Paul De Lawrence's. Without needing to recognize the face again, Jessie still remembered it. Not much has changed after six years except for a slightly wrinkled face.
"I also just found out, big sir," said Edgar because Jessie had just contacted him.
"Good night, big sir. Sorry I just came tonight. I must accompany young master Ellard first." Jessie bowed slightly as a sign of respect.
"That kid! Where is he now?" Paul got up from his seat and approached Jessie.
"You're an adult! Good though. I have contacts if you want." The old man embraced his granddaughter who was concurrently the assistant while patting her arm.
"No need to bother, big master. Thank you very much." He smiled with a warning in his eyes.
Luckily Xavier is not here.
"Young Mr. Ellard said he'd catch up tomorrow."
"All right, it's up to him."
Everyone quietly whispered looking at them. Seeing the great master so casual and familiar towards Jessie strengthened their belief in not offending the woman.
After talking for a long time with Jessie who only responded small, the big master finally asked her to go to the podium.
"Good night everyone. Meet me Jessie Millen. Assistant or right hand of Miss. Lawrence herself. Tonight I stand before all of you to deliver his message—"
"—on this occasion, he was really sorry for not being able to show himself. But trust me, he always does his job. She was young, but Miss Jessica was much younger at the helm a few years ago."
"You don't have to worry or doubt it, especially the higher-ups sitting there. Miss. Lawrence has led the company since he was twenty-one years old and still stands well to this day. If the ability is bad, hasn't the company fallen long ago? Thank you!"
Jessie kept talking without letting those people interrupt. His presence is only to come, finish, and go home!
After saying that long enough sentence, Jessie came down just like that. The great master only smiled looking at him. This one grandson is different.
