"JESSIE!!"
The thunderous sound made Jessie who was gulping the water immediately choke. The woman coughed while lashing her chest. Rachel swiftly helped him drink back.
After feeling subsided again, Jessie looked at Rachel with a wrinkled face.
"He yelled at me?" Rachel nodded.
"Go!"
With a confused face Jessie just complies.
"JESSIE!" Xavier shouted back, making Jessie run straight to the room.
"YES, ONE MINUTE!" the answer was screaming.
"Bas rude!" hardiknya after close to the door of the room.
Chequek! The room door was opened violently by Jessie who immediately stared intently at the man without the face of his sin. Xavier sits on the couch with his cell phone in his hand. The man did not turn his head at all until Jessie stood around her waist in front of him.
"Say, before I kill you." The woman is still trying to be patient.
"I changed my mind," he said casually without glancing.
"What?"
"I will accept your service."
"You mean?"
Xavier lifted his head, looking at that pretty face. Yes, he admitted that the face was beautiful. More beautiful than the many women he saw. Even better than Miranda.
"From now on do your duty as a wife and I will do the same."
Is he possessed? Jessie frowned, astonished.
"Really?" Raise next to his eyebrows.
"Yes!" answer's sure.
"Daddy revoked your legacy?" Jessie's still not sure. The question made Xavier upset. It was like dropping his pride.
"I'm trying to respect you as a wife. That's what you want, right!"
Jessie's lips curled. This guy's not bad either. His frustration in the beginning had disappeared.
"Okay, deal!" Just look where this man is defending his words. The two shook hands in agreement.
"alright. From now on I'm your husband—"
"It should have been last night" Jessie cut.
Xavier clucked, "Listen first!"
"Okay, I heard." Take a seat opposite Xavier.
"I'll make the rules."
"Mommy didn't say there were rules" Jessie said again.
"Jessie!" Xavier hiss. Jessie pursed her lips.
Jessie nodded. The rules are still within reasonable limits.
"What about you?" ask Jessie later.
"What's wrong with me?"
"You should also call me if you're late."
"Good!"
"Until when?" ask Jessie again.
"Until I get all the inheritance. We stopped at that moment."
"Is this a deal?"
"Of course not," Xavier said quickly. "It's not a contract or an agreement, it's an agreement. It's not even written or signed."
"Wedding is sacred. We both promised God we would be together until the end. You're denying?" Jessie reminded
"Nobody denies. Our end is fulfilling their wishes. You fulfilled your parents' wishes and I got grandfather's inheritance."
Maybe this is called justifying everything for the sake of purpose. Jessie shook her head in wonder.
"Forget it. I'm not interested anymore." Jessie flicked her hand as she walked towards the bed.
Xavier stood up and stared dislikefully.
"You agreed!"
"So! Not anymore." How many times has he said that marriage is not something to be played with.
"You!" Pointing the woman.
"What?" Jessie gave a challenging face.
Xavier's breathing rose and fell with anger. Really am! Jessie was the first woman to dare to challenge and fight him. Miranda alone did not dare to oppose her decision.
"I'll make you show your true nature in front of mom and dad so they know what his favorite daughter-in-law looks like!" snarl.
"Did I just get a truce on my first day?" jessie's lips.
"I'm not kidding. Justjust look. You'll be be begging to be divorced yourself!"
Xavier exited the room by closing the door. Jessie's face was flat again with her eyes still staring at the door.
"Yes, do it when I ask for it. You can't stop a Jessie until she wants to stop herself."
"I've come this far. How can you ask me to stop" he said flatly.
