Jessie sat leaning back in her study chair in the mansion after coming home from work. His eyes continued to stare towards the drawer where his memory books were stored.
He thought about all Valerie said to him.
"The heart also has a memory, Jess."
"Why do you think the Xavier you call the ice and rough guy was so easy to accept you that it used to take you half a year to make him really fall in love?"
"Because it's instincts that move naturally following the direction of the heart! Although he forgot about you, but his heart still has your memories!"
"Memories? A heart?" mumbling Jessie pensive.
"What are you thinking?" Jessie slightly flinched and turned to the origin of the sound.
"Mom?"
"I've been here a few minutes." Rachel pointed to the chair she was sitting in, "you didn't even notice it."
Jessie breathed out softly and returned to the starting position.
"Don't want to tell a story?"
Jessie looked at her in-laws. Rachel smiled back at him.
"Mom remember the story about Laura?" Finally talk.
"Sure, I remember." Rachel nodded while thinking, "what's the matter?"
"I want to ask Mom. You think her husband will remember?"
"It's weird that you're curious. Usually you don't care" he said in surprise.
"It's not so! Valerie said something that made me think."
"What?"
"The heart also has a memory. Mom knew that?" ask Jessie seriously.
"Isn't that obvious, Jess?"
"Yes, I know it's normal for us. But what if it's linked to Laura's case."
Apparently so. Rachel began to understand the flow of the conversation.
"His husband will be fine, Jess. You said she had amnesia and forgot about Laura, but it wasn't really so. Mom believes in the bottom of her husband's heart still stored memories about them. Jdi the man would naturally respond even though he himself was confused." Rachel chuckled at the final sentence.
Same explanation as Valerie said. Jessie actually thinks the same. Just don't know if you should believe it or not.
"That's just Mom's opinion!" Rachel corrects.
"I understand, Mom. Thank you." - Thank you."
"Hmm? I'm fine!" answer Jessie.
Rachel then smiled as she clasped both hands.
"How's it?"
"What?" ask Jessie confused.
"Is there any sign?"
Jessie was silent for a moment. "Sorry." His voice almost whispered.
"No, it's okay. Don't think about it." Rachel laughed awkwardly as she flicked her hand.
"Mom ...."
"Here you go, I'm just a prank." Know what his daughter-in-law will say.
Jessie smiled thinly. Trying to hide her changed mood.
"I'm going to Finland in the next few days to see him" he stood up from his seat.
"See what?" Rachel stood up, surprised, "mom doesn't matter, really! Don't make me feel guilty."
"Mom what's that talking? I went to check on Grandpa."
Eh?
Jessie laughed softly at him.
"Don't worry, Mom. That kind of thing doesn't offend me." Patting both of Rachel's shoulders then passed away from there.
After closing the door, Jessie stood still for a moment while sighing softly. He touched his flat stomach that had not been filled by any other life.
"You may not be able to get pregnant. We'll have to go through some tests to make sure."
Jessie smiled wryly in light of the doctor's frank remarks. Should she tell the truth to this family including her husband? Honestly, he was afraid of their reaction. Jessie is not ready to lose again.
Yes, he lied about the normal results. Seeing how enthusiastic this family was with the presence of the child, Jessie was not brave enough to say it.
"Mrs ..." The slow and careful call made him realize, "young master's car is almost there," the maid continued.
Ah right. It's time for Xavier to come home. He should welcome her as usual.
"Thanks!"
