"Whose Mansion is this?"
Xavier just found out there's a mansion this big near the Manhattan border. Jessie next to him had yet to reply, just staring at the huge building.
"The main Mansion of the Lawrence family" he murmured.
The place must have been empty even though it was still filled by the servants who worked. This is where the Lawrence family gathers if how much in America. It has two main mansions, one of which is in Finland, where the grandfather is located.
If the old man came, then this place would be full of people.
Jessie pulled down her car glass. The guard guard guarding the gate immediately opened it as soon as he saw his face.
Xavier immediately ran his car in as soon as the door opened. It is no different from the Johansson mansion. The distance of the gate and the mansion cannot be reached on foot because it is quite far away.
As soon as he got out of the car, several maids greeted him at the door. Previously Jessie took a bouquet of flowers that they had bought when they headed here.
"Welcome, Miss Millen."
"Thanks." -."
Xavier just followed his wife who walked first. The woman didn't say much, just looked around.
"Searching for something?" Clutching Jessie's waist.
"Hm."
Xavier observed flatly all that was passed by them. There are a lot of big photos out there. They must be members of Lawrence's family.
Rebecca and Austin are also on display there with a woman who must be Austin's wife. And the photo of the boy named Ellard who just appeared was also there with the old man.
...Paul De Lawrence's...
...Ellardo Lawrence's...
The old man was definitely the great master that was being talked about. Even the photo of Ellard was only with the great master. It turns out that the life story Ellard told his wife was not so good.
Maybe only Lawrence and his family weren't there.
"They're always shutting down" Jessie said as if she knew Xavier's thoughts.
"You see that woman over there," Jessie pointed, "she's Mrs. Maurice Pedra, the second wife of the great lord. She's also Austin's birth mother."
Xavier. He just knew this fact. Paul De Lawrence had a second wife.
"That's why Jose Lawrence's son was chosen as a candidate. Because Jose was the legitimate son of the first wife who had divorced the great master, Mrs. Dr. Tremaine."
Unfortunately, there are no photos of the woman here. Mrs. Maurice has got rid of everything that has to do with Drizella.
"Sir, Austin is only an inborn child, not the biological child of a great master. Being able to bear Lawrence's surname should have made him grateful, but the family wanted more."
Jessie had no qualms about telling Xavier everything about her family tree. Now Xavier knows a little bit of the truth of this family. It was only fitting that Lawrence and his sister were so covered up from the outside world.
"Lawrence's family isn't as good as outsiders think. Full of conflict and sycophants. I can't call it family."
"But you're involved in it." Jessie looked at Xavier.
Standing next to Lawrence has included getting involved, right?
"Everything just goes by," Jessie said, starting to pull her husband elsewhere.
Jessie takes Xavier to the backyard of the mansion that resembles a flower garden. The place has a very beautiful view to relax. There is a gazebo and some other garden benches.
But there is one that will distract the attention that comes. Right at the end of the yard there is a place that resembles a gazebo but with a beautiful fence around it. On the fence there are flowers that propagate in various colors.
Jessica De Lawrence's
The name written on a tombstone in the place.
"This flower is for him?" guess Xavier. Another new name.
"Yes." Yeah." Jessie opens the fence and enters, followed by Xavier.
Jessie knelt down and placed the flower on the tombstone.
As promised, I came ... Older brother.
Xavier looks surprised by Jessie's behavior. It was as if she had lost someone precious in her life. But as usual Jessie only showed a smile. But why did the smile this time look so excruciating in Xavier's eyes.
"Don't hold it." Xavier knew this woman was holding back from crying.
No, Xavier had seen her several times holding back tears. From the beginning to the present, never once did Xavier see those tears coming out of his wife's eyes.
"You didn't ask who he was?" Jessie wonder.
"There's Lawrence's surname in his name. That's enough explaining."
"Ck!" Jessie clucking.
Xavier smiled looking at her, then stroked her head gently.
"He was the real owner before Lawrence was elected. She's also Lawrence's sister, too" Xavier said, leaving Jessie a little surprised.
"Really, right?"
"Da— from where did you—"
"I found out everything" he cut.
"Why?"
"Of course for your safety."
"Do you also know who Law— is"
"No! I changed my mind about Mrs. Laura. There are others who are more likely" Xavier said.
"Who's si—?"
Xavier smiles. "I'm not sure either." Pinching the smooth cheeks was anxious, "it doesn't matter, right. Most importantly my wife is safe."
Jessie turned her face shy. "Stop!" Xavier immediately lined his lips tightly.
You see, brother. I got it back. I came to apologize for occupying your position. I want to introduce Xavier directly to you. I know it's too late, but I've proven that the curse doesn't exist, inwardly.
Jessie stroked the gravestone affectionately.
"He died a week after appearing in public as an heir. That day he took over the leadership."
Jessica De Lawrence is the eldest daughter of Jose Lawrence. Everyone thought that the woman was Lawrence who was often touted by the great masters.
Jessica started living in the main mansion in Finland with her grandfather and father. Jessie follows her mother in America.
Remember the mansion she lived in before she got married? Yes it is him. They lived together before their parents divorced at the age of eighteen.
After parting ways, Jessica goes after Jose because of his responsibilities as heir.
"You think it was an accident?" ask Jessie to Xavier.
"She showed up, getting rid of her made easier. Even if it was an accident, everything was planned."
A"You're right." Smiling smirk. Xavier could even guess.
But after Jessica died, apparently the grandfather again announced that Lawrence would be the next heir. Everyone was surprised to recognize people wrongly.
But this time no one could see Lawrence. It's like it's just a name without a body.
Jessie told me everything except Lawrence's identity. The man listened well to every story and fact he did not know fully.
"They might be after you, too. You're the closest you've got to Lawrence."
"I know."
"Don't be afraid. I told you I'd protect you."
Jessie received the hug comfortably.
Sorry, I don't want to harm you anymore. My identity as Lawrence, you better not know.
