The Primal Hunter's

The Primal Hunter's
Great Weasel

Jake focuses on which thread as he supplies mana through it all. One of them grabbed his old robe, which was almost completely destroyed, once again, after the final fight in which he finally defeated the last group of ferrets, leaving only Alpha.

The charm of self-improvement on the robe will fix it completely over time, but if one injects mana, it will speed up the process significantly.

The second string fell onto his bracelet which was also quite hit. He had used them to block quite freely, making it well and completely scratched. One of them even had a few bite holes from the two times he was bitten.

The third string went to the empty tube as he supplied mana to conjure more arrows. Yet the other two were currently each picking up the blue mushroom as they slowly stuffed it into the mixing bowl he was holding with both hands.

If he made a relatively easy potion or drink, he could do it with just one hand in the bowl, but it was more comfortable with two hands if he needed a little better control. And since he was currently making more Necrotic Poison, he needed both hands.

Of course, he made it a little more difficult for himself by exerting mana strings and charging or fixing his things.

But in the end, it turned out to be successful because he was greeted by a beautiful message confirming his successful potion and finally leveling up.

*'DING!' Profession: [Excellent Alchemist of Malefic Viper] has reached level 47 - Allotted stat points, +5 free points*

*'DING!' Race: [Human (E)] has reached level 43 - Allotted stat points, +5 free points*

Along with that level, he had already gained quite a lot of profits from the dungeon. Jake has been there for 10 hours now, as he has to rest before fighting with the second group of ferrets from last and last.

He quickly burned all 60 arrows in each of those fights, as those damn things were relatively tough and good at avoiding fatal injuries.

Since it took a bit of time to resurface the arrow, he also spent a bit of time concocting. He had decided to fight Alpha Badger and use a portion of his limited supply of Necrotic Poison.

He's running out of blue mushrooms now. He cursed himself for casually eating it out of habit in the period after leaving the dungeon a challenge, but not as much as he cursed himself for not clearing the long tunnels filled with them after coming out of the challenge dungeon.

There was no way she would come back for them as .. well .. she kind of didn't know the way back. He was a hunter, of course, but that did not mean that his direction was so strong. Moreover, the damn forest in the outer zone looked the same everywhere, there were hardly any landmarks in sight. At least the inner area had large mountains with different heights to orient themselves quickly.

At least the dungeon was straight forward. Literally, because there are only holes at each end of the cave.

After he finished most of his preparations, he meditated for several hours to fully recover himself. Only one enemy was left in front of him, and from the feeling it caused, it was stronger than anything he had ever faced before.

Out of meditation, he took out the newly made bottle of Necrotic Poison, as he started dipping his arrows into it one by one. Without leaving anything by chance, he dipped all sixty of them, ensuring that he could give the beast a sufficient dose of death.

After he finished, he wore a robe and bracelet that had now been completely repaired. It was a bit strange how he maintained the stats of the bracelet even after taking it off. Although his relationship with them slowly deteriorated when he did not wear them, so he assumed that if he took them off for too long, his stats would be lost.

Turning his focus back to the large Alpha Venomfang Badger, he noted that he still could not see his level even after his level had gone up.

The Alpha no longer slept but sat on the ground, as if waiting for him. As he defeated the group with six badgers in it, the beast had already woken up and moved into its current position. Possibilities with the design, Jake noted.

Still too much like a videogame, he sighed. It was somewhat frightening how the beast was only a hundred meters away from him on flat ground, and while he could see it clearly from here, he somehow did not react at all to his presence.

The same goes for all badgers. Jake can attack one group without disturbing the other. They should be able to clearly hear and see, but nothing.

Outside it was slightly different, with more savage beasts roaming around, and while their range of perception was limited, the fact that they were moving made one more likely to pick a fight by accident.

His accidental involvement with small dinosaurs during his fight with buffalo is a good example. He was playing around as usual and accidentally moved too close to a small group of troublemakers. The fact that their range of engagement is wider than their scope of perception does not help either.

But these badgers could easily surround them with the ball and still not pull it. It should be noted that the ball currently has a range of slightly more than 20 meters. Heck, the fact that he could sit here in the dungeon and concoct poison while they were only tens of meters away was strange.

However, it was in his favor, so he would not complain much.

As he stared at the giant ferret in the distance, he took out an arrow from his tube, whipped it out, and aimed at the beast. It still did not react as he started charging Powershot. He could not go overboard, as he doubted the creature would die in a single blow, and having a numb or even damaged arm was not recommended.

At the same time, it also could not be too weak. After about 8 seconds, as Jake began to feel pain, he released an arrow into the usual burst of energy.

He had aimed for the beast's head, hoping for one easy shot. A hope that was quickly extinguished as the beast reacted as he released the arrow. The originally blunt eyes turned sharp, and the beast moved while dodging to the side much faster than any other opponent Jake had faced before. It still manages to get scratched, but it is the best surface wound.

Despite dodging his initial blow, Jake is not disappointed but instead feels excitement. This one is a worthy opponent. A good hunt. A challenge he will gladly face.

Taking out another arrow, he shot out a Splitting Arrow that shocked the ferocious beasts that charged towards him.

Three out of five arrows hit while dodging. But in particular, it was clearly deliberately avoiding the original poisonous arrow.

While narrowing his eyes, Jake knew that this beast, despite its previous behavior, had a keen instinct.

He only had time to release another Splitting Arrows before the monster managed to reach it. It passed 100 meters in just three seconds or so, leaving most sports cars embarrassed by its terrible acceleration. And this was even with the beast finding time to dodge the arrows on the way.

Jake Shadow Vaulted retreated but did not have time to fire another arrow before the monster attacked him once more. His tactic to briefly confuse his enemy by jumping was clearly unsuccessful on this one.

He still had not managed to land the poisoned arrow properly on the beast, as he was forced to block the sweep of its claws. His strength far exceeded Jake's, and just before hitting him, he leapt back, borrowing the momentum of his punch to create distance.

However, the claw still tore through his bracelet and arm, but other than that, he dealt the blow relatively well. He felt his bones creak slightly, and it sent an echo into his arm, but his body could accept it.

After gaining a considerable distance, Jake finally managed to land the arrow on the monster, despite not hitting the critical area, but it was enough to send out a poisonous payload.

The arrow pierced through his entire arrowhead into the beast's skin, especially less compared to normal Venomfang badgers, where they either directly pierced through or only stopped when it hit a solid bone or muscle.

The beast itself also seemed to be aware of the poison's effects as it screeched furiously, much louder than the Molerat Screechers had. His ears were ringing, and he felt his vision darken for a moment. However, his sense of danger still warned him about the beast jaws descending upon him, allowing him to Shadow Vault to the side and avoid danger.

He had no intention of letting the beast stick its fangs into him. He couldn't negate the effect of the smaller poison, so he didn't see any chance with Alpha. There was no reason to turn this into a battle of attrition.

Shadow Vaulting once again right after the first allowed him to gain a further distance, as he saw the ferocious beast behind him scratching the wound he had inflicted. To his horror, he saw her tear apart the piece of meat on which she had struck, along with the arrow itself.

Shit, thought Jake. The necrotic poison does not really spread well through the blood. With the animal tearing the infected meat, it eliminates most of the infection.

Having to replace it, he decided when he took out the poison he had just used. The first poison he ever made.

[Weak Hemotoxic Poison (Inferior)] – Increases bleeding in infected entities and makes wounds more difficult to heal. Toxins must be put directly into the bloodstream to get any effect.

It had a rarity and a lesser effect, but it would most likely succeed against this type of enemy. It already had several bloody wounds, including the one he had just given himself.

He could see his flesh wriggling as it began to heal, so he had no time to hesitate.

Using the time given by the beast to rip off the infected flesh, he took out an arrow and quickly cleared away as much necrotic poison as he could with his robe. Mixing toxins never ends well and often makes the effects worse.

Without the time to carefully dip the arrow into the poison, he simply poured it over the arrow quickly as he made eye contact with the beast from the corner of his eye. It's come.

Forced to retreat once more, he threw the bottle towards the beast. Fortunately the creature decides that the empty bottle is a big threat as it jumps to the side to avoid it, giving Jake more time.

He only had one arrow prepared with poison, and he did not know if he would have time to make another. He had no confidence in facing the ferocious beast in a melee fight. Not, at least. If he could weaken it significantly first, perhaps he would be able to.

But he had to land this shot. Splitting the Arrow had proven to be unsuccessful, and ordinary shots had a great chance of being avoided.

His experiments with speeding up the channeling speed had been gradual. He can do it a little bit now .. but he doesn't really have an incredible success rate. Either it is ignored, or it simply makes the skill fail because all the stored inner energy is scattered into nothingness.

Tough times require tough decisions, he thought while taking bets. What better time to try something new and risky than in a life-and-death battle?

After deciding on a plan, he decided to take advantage of the beast's fear of the bottle. He had thousands of empty bottles for poison and potions still in his storage and was more than willing to throw some at the thing.

Taking a handful of bottles, he threw them towards Alpha Badger once again who allegedly dodged to the side.

Jake didn't even take the time to see if the trick worked as he lifted his bow with a hemotoxic arrow.

Focusing all of his perceptions inward, he started the skill and tried to speed up the flow of stamina. He felt his speed increase significantly the moment he wanted it, and he felt the energy enter his arm at a speed that had never existed before - a level that was too unstable.

All of the accumulated energy dissipated faster than it gathered, making Jake curse inwardly. The first part was fine, but he couldn't finish it. It's too unstable. Too rushed, with energy that is not guided properly.

He did not have time to try again, because the beast had also changed his tactics.

The needle-like hair on his back suddenly stood upright as he squealed towards her once more, giving her the same nauseous feeling. And just like before, his danger senses warned him right after, while his Sphere of Perception made him aware of the nature of the threat.

Hundreds of tiny, thin, needle-sharp hairs were heading towards him at an extremely high speed.

Having no other choice, he charged towards the needle, as he used his Shadow Vault to pass through it. In a less positive turn of events, he finds that the needle has enough energy put into each needle, making Jake lose more than a thousand mana as well as more health than he wants.

However, he did not regret his choice as his hearing returned after the screech, and he heard the hissing sound made by the needle as it was embedded in the ground.

Venomfang, my butt, was supposed to be called Venomhair, he cursed jokingly in his mind as he now found himself closer to the beast than he wanted. Despite the danger, he had to admit that he was enjoying himself a lot.

With a distance of only about five meters, the beast took the opportunity to snap at him, making Jake dodge the punch, as he quickly pulled out his sword and thrust it into the side of the beast's head, piercing through the chin.

It reacted quickly as he was quickly repulsed by the ferocious beast swinging its head. Worse, Alpha managed to scratch his chest with one of his fangs during the movement.

He instantly felt the pain spread throughout his chest as the poison began to attack. He subconsciously mobilized his vital energy to fight him better as he looked towards the beast that was trying to pull out the sword from his chin. He has bought some time.

He had dropped his bow but had made sure to keep his arrow. He still had his old bow before he obtained the bow that was upgraded to rare. It was weaker, but if he put mana into it, he should be able to make it last long enough to …

Something came to his mind at that moment. His inner energy control was weak .. but his mana control was much better, practiced through alchemy, and aided by his talent in it. If he could use mana to support the process.

Mana cannot be directly injected into the body in its pure form, but it can be manifested in air and injected into non-living physical objects, such as its bow.

Lifting up his old bow, he mounted the arrow in an almost trance-like state while the beast was still thrashing, trying to pull out the sword from his chin. The Invading Chill slowly seeped into it, bothering him more than doing actual damage.

He started using Powershot when the process started as usual. However, this time, he tried to speed up the channel as he also injected mana into the bow simultaneously. His bows and muscles were engulfed in energy in a moment, but this time his inner energy did not dissipate.

The mana in and around the arc holds it in place when it reaches equilibrium. Energy begins to build like never before until it reaches its peak. Having no time to waste, Jake releases the rope, as the mana and energy within flood out, creating an explosion, unlike Powershot he had ever done before.

The bow exploded into shreds when he removed the rope, unable to maintain its shape after mana crushed it from within.

He saw a notification appear in front of him as soon as the arrow was released while flying towards the beast that did not even have time to react.
