The Primal Hunter's

The Primal Hunter's
Evolution of Professionals

Jake wakes up once again after only one hour of sleep. The resources were replenished, he stretched and did light shadow fists to make the blood flow. The concept of physical exhaustion and exhaustion being a rare thing was still not something he was used to.

The evolution of his race reduced this need even further, as it also severely limited mental fatigue. He still burns himself almost every day, but again, he always works. He also read about alchemy, doing alchemy, preparing for alchemy, or thinking about how to do alchemy better. The only distraction is a small research trip on other topics such as general knowledge of the system and seeking more information about the lineage.

Today's plan is to get another level and develop the profession. He was very hopeful that his preparations were sufficient and his potential for improvement would be worth it. As long as one meets the Record required to evolve, one would have options available, but the quality of those options can vary greatly.

For now, it was time for some more alchemy. Jake had no interest in trying to make another potion from the Necrotic Poison, as he honestly did not yet have the confidence to produce it efficiently.

Instead, he had just started to secrete some rare poison, mixed with a number of herbs here and there.

The mixing itself went quite easily, the progress he made in his attempt to make a show of Necrotic Poison. He hasn't made any lesser scarcity poison over the past few days because Jake is focused exclusively on completing his goal, but also because he was afraid it would raise his level to 25 before he managed to succeed.

The hours slowly passed as he mixed, and with a hint of hubbub or excitement, he got the awaited notice.

Y/T

WARNING: Delaying evolution for too long can be devastating, and no further professional experience can be gained before evolution is complete.

His message is rather interesting, showing details of how he operated during the dungeon . It was a bit sad because his isolation was shown that way, but he had always been the introvert type, so to be honest it wasn't too bad. His last part, except the obligatory warning, is very interesting because it is directly related to him doing well, which he very much hopes will produce something good. Also, who does not like positive reinforcement now and then?

Accepting evolution, nothing happens for a few seconds before a new notification appears.

*5 Possible Evolution Available*

He smiled as he looked at the message.5 is the maximum amount of evolution available that the system will display by book, and no one has complained about more options. He also knew that this option was also only the best he could get. The system is likely already filtering out the lower versions.

He decided to do the same as he did with the new skills and learn them one by one.

Alchemist of the Experienced Malefic Viper – An Experienced Alchemist from Malefic Viper has learned the basics of Alchemy. Allowing one to combine the world's natural treasures, and make potions, pills, transmute one ingredient into another, with many other mystical ways to discover. This rare type of alchemist specialized in the production of poisons, contrary to the expertise of potions. Your path so far has been mundane, slowly building up the experience until one day it reaches a higher altitude. Do not be afraid, because the road to power is not a fast run but a marathon. Bonus Stat per level: +4 Vit, +3 Wis +2 Will be +2 Resilient, +3 Points Free.

This option seems to be a linear evolution of his Alchemist of the Malefic Viper profession. The statistics are the same, only better, giving 14 stats instead of 8 each level. According to the book, options like this are the most normal by far, therefore, most end with what. It was relatively easy to open, and a record earned just by raising the level of a profession was often enough. In other words, if you unlock the ability to evolve, options like these will be available.

But in the end, he hoped for something better. Moving on to the next one, it becomes a little more interesting.

Gardener of the Malefic Viper – The Gardener of the Malefic Viper has studied the art of alchemy but prefers to find themselves tending to the garden. The Gardener of the Malefic Viper has a greatly increased ability when processing poisons and growing plants, helping the entire garden thrive in prosperity. Although this was not the path the gardener liked, he could still use his precious ingredients to make deadly poison and even healing potions if needed. Stat bonus per level: +3 Wis, +3 Vit, +3 Tough, +3 Points Free.

He quickly eliminated this option because he preferred the previous one. The given statistics are only 12 in total, so in terms of statistics, it is also worse. It still showed some other avenues available to him. This one is another very common evolution found in the profession he theorized.

Of course, it focuses on plant care, especially toxic ones, as the taste text says. While Jake was aware of the value of the Poison Cultivation skill and the importance of the gardening profession, it was not his cup of tea.

Moving on to the next one, Jake became a little dumbfounded.

Toxic Chef – Toxic Chef is trying not to find the most deadly poison but the best complement to his menu. Allows one to make dishes with toxic ingredients, providing a variety of benefits. This type of cook combines toxic ingredients not to make weapons but food. While cooks can still make regular meals, they prefer to use unusual ingredients that are toxic in the making. Stat bonus per level: +3 Vit, +3 Tough +2 Will be +1 Wis, +1 Points Free. WARNING: Skills related to the Alchemist of the Malefic Viper can be lost or changed after becoming a Toxic Chef.

Yeah, it's not gonna happen, but what? Jake thought as he finished reading the whole thing. Just because he has been eating and even 'cooking' poisonous mushrooms and moss as his only source of food for the past two weeks, the damn system decides he's qualified to be a damn chef.

The stats did reflect his poor cooking skills with how little the profession gave him. 10 total stats, only two more than his Alchemist of the Malefic Viper. It also did not seem to be any variant class, but just an ordinary mad poison chef profession.

Choosing it would also be a total difference from the original profession, and as mentioned in the warning, would make him lose his skills. Unless he suffered severe mental damage or really liked cooking, it would be pure folly to take it. Quickly, he continued, still a little grumpy even after being given a choice.

Hermit Alchemist – Hermit Alchemist is no stranger to alchemy but never interacts with his peers. These alchemists prefer to work in solitude and hate interruptions, developing their skills always in their solitude. Allowing one to combine the world's natural treasures, and make potions, pills, transmute one ingredient into another, with many other mystical ways to discover. Through this isolated Craft Training, you have learned to focus on your work above all else. Your next path will not be determined by the will of others, but the path you find yourself on. Stat bonus per level: +5 Will, +5 Wis, +3 Int, +5 Free Points. WARNING: Skills related to the Alchemist of the Malefic Viper can be lost or changed after becoming a Hermit Alchemist.

It also often results in penalties for gaining experience if being around people for too long, and many of the craft skills often require one to craft on their own, making all the craft projects together becomes impossible or highly punishable. Hermit classes also often have a huge multiplier of negative experiences when hunting at parties, although that's not really a problem considering it's a profession. The hermit, in essence, is very strong, but with a lot of sacrifice.

There is also the fact that it is not a direct evolution in the Malefic Viper line. Which means Jake will lose or change some of his skills. And while she hated eating mushrooms so much to gain knowledge, she realized how powerful it was. The Skill Ceiling just broke.

However, the prospects of the profession were very attractive to him. He always preferred to work alone, and he doubted any negative side effects that would greatly affect him. In the end, it wasn't too much of a problem, as he looked at the latter option.

Prodigious Alchemist of the Malefic Viper – An Extraordinary Alchemist from the Malefic Viper has come a long way from when he first concocted his first poison. You have shown speed and skill at the top. Allowing the alchemist to combine the world's natural treasures, and make potions, pills, transmute one ingredient into another, with many other mystical ways to discover. This rare type of alchemist specialized in the production of poisons, contrary to the expertise of potions. Your proven talent as a death artist stands above all peers, signifying the arrival of another omen of decay that follows in the footsteps of the Malefic Viper. Only his chosen ones can take this path. Bonus Stat per level: +4 Vit, +4 Wis, +3 Will +2 Tough +2 Int, +5 Points Free.

He could not help but smile broadly as he read through the entire description. That's at 20 big stats per level, well above any other option. Moreover, it was a relatively easy upgrade for his profession, staying on the same path.

If he has to show something negative, it is an unpleasant tone of all.

He strongly believed that he obtained this option from managing to create rare poisons before his evolution. Getting rewarded for your hard work is always satisfying. He wasn't so sure about the whole miracle, but the confession was rather cool.

He had never seen the increase of this type mentioned in any book, but once again, the stronger, the less frequent. In fact, Jake has suspicions that most who get this profession simply claim to be Experienced Alchemists from Malefic Viper or other more common variants. He considers another 'step' between Experienced and Extraordinary there depends on how well the system judges a person.

With this clearly being the best choice in his mind, he took it. The Hermit Alchemist did indeed seem like it was on track, but he did not want to lose his current skill.

As she confirmed her choice, she prepared herself for the influx of information, but instead, she felt her vision change. The surroundings began to coalesce as if he were entering a Picasso painting, and everything became murky and invisible. Even his Sphere of Perception was thrown all over, telling him that everything was moving at once.

Everything finally started to calm down, and the first thing he noticed was how dark it was all of a sudden. Due to his much better perception, he could still see a little. And what he saw was just a vast field of nothingness. He stood on what looked like a black stone, and kneeling down to feel it, he found its texture as smooth as polished granite.

Another thing he quickly noticed was the thin mist or fog around him. Surprisingly, the fog stopped a few millimeters from his skin, and when he took a breath, he did not feel anything different.

As he began to wonder why the system had brought him here, he sensed something. Turning to the side, he knew something was watching him. Before he could try to identify what it was, a man appeared before him.

Even though calling him a man was a tough sell. Extremely smooth black scales with a hint of dark green were lined up all over his body. At first glance, it looked like skin, but it was definitely not. He seemed to be wearing nothing but a tattered black robe. The first thing Jake noticed was his eyes. They glowed with a dim green light, a pair of piercing vertical slits reminiscent of a snake staring at him, only slightly blocked by his long unkempt black hair.

"Now, what do we have here?" the scaly man said in a hoarse voice.

Jake doesn't know who or what this creature is, but he doesn't feel the slightest hint of threat or fear. That doesn't mean his instincts are silent. Every fiber of him told him that whatever this creature was .. it was not something that even he could consider fighting for.

In the way the figure appeared before him; jake had no doubt that the scaly man was much stronger than himself. The only reason why he remained calm was how silent the danger felt. In fact, she had never felt safer in her life than she was right now.

“Your guess is as good as mine. One time I developed my profession; next, I showed up here, ” Jake replied while trying to identify the man.

“Oh... it is.. interesting,” said the man, as his eyes shone brighter as he observed Jake. “Ah, I understand..”.

He nodded as he looked at Jake, seemingly not interested in sharing his thoughts.

"So ..." Jake begins, prompting the scaly man to explain.

"Only the system does what it does" he replied, shrugging his shoulders. "That brought you here, didn't it?"

"Indeed," Jake replied, seeing no reason to hide anything. Moreover, he suspected that the creature in front of him already knew.

“And you have obtained the profession related to Malefic Viper?”

Jake nodded once more.

“Well, I am Malefic Viper; nice to meet you and all that nonsense, ”he said, waving nonchalantly.

"Now fuck."
