Many plants are still in the garden and cave. After all, Jake never made potions above low rarity and still had all the common scarcity ingredients completely untouched. With spatial storage that could store plants, he needed a way to put them into it.
He quickly discovered that he could not just let them enter it. Unfortunately, the spatial storage could not simply tear it from the ground.
So, the next hour and a half passed as he dug it by hand. He also went to the cave afterwards and collected all the mushrooms and moss.
It didn't take long for him to gather all of them - his improved physical stats ended up being used constructively.
With less than half an hour left in the basement, he did the only logical thing he could think of and take a bath. She didn't know when next she would get access to a nice bathroom, something that could be used as much as possible while she still could.
After cleaning and putting on her clothes once again, she went to the park while waiting for the time to end. Looking at his reflection in the pond, he saw the small changes brought about by evolution.
It made him a little more handsome if he had to say it himself. The features are all a little sharper. He was originally a little on the short side but had grown a few centimeters as well from the looks of it. Her fashion sense did indeed slightly ruin her better appearance. Brown robes, leather bracelets, and old boots stood out like a sore thumb.
He looks a little funny if he has to say it himself. He was wearing some old linen clothes that he found in the bedroom closet if one looked under the robe. His old clothes had been destroyed long ago.
As his mind wandered, time continued to travel, and with a last look at his shadow, he disappeared from the dungeon.
Caroline exited the cabin with Richard after reporting what she had just learned. Casper has made himself known once again.
Two weeks ago, he wandered outside the camp in the middle of the night. Their hopes were shattered as he simply disappeared without a trace. No one had heard or seen anything from him before today, leading them to believe that he was actually dead.
She don't. He had contacted them through a stake outside their headquarters addressed to William.
Casper did not head to the enemy camp. Back to where they entered the tutorial initially. And now, he and Richard were thinking about what to do.
A small ball was all around them, blocking out all sounds as they walked through the camp. "Send William .. wouldn't it be better to just kill him?"
"Casper or William?" Richard asked.
“William, of course. Casper did nothing for two weeks.we can make it back,” he said, almost begging. Jacob has been emotionally devastated since Casper disappeared.
"... Okay," Richard admitted. Even if William dies, I can think of something else. The only positive thing to say about William is how little he has done over the past two weeks. He only actually hunted animals and spent most of his time with Smith.
However, despite everything Richard tried, people started to question too many things. He was also relatively convinced Jacob knew that the boy was far away. He already wanted to get rid of William and Hayden, but unfortunately no chance presented itself.
Now, with Casper calling William directly, too many began to connect the dots. Richard was not sure what to do. If he acted like he didn't know anything, he would look incompetent. So, he left with the easiest solution in hopes of just making the two kill each other.
Can I still use this to lure Hayden out? he thought as he began to gather his hunting group with Caroline. To not chase William .. they also had to keep leveling up.
Casper sat on the ground, meditating.
He knew he was coming. Narcissistic bastards can't resist.
For the last day, he had prepared an open space. Everything is ready for the ritual. He just needs one last part.
His last two weeks were important. It all started when he died.
Name's Lyra. The star that shines in this hell hole. He immediately fell in love with her. They have started a relationship that never had time to really develop. He was too cowardly, and their time was too short. He's been murdered.
Hatred. He did not care about the war; he did not care about the leader of the other factions, claiming that his son died. He's gone through a time of caring.
So, he set up a trap, a trap to kill the beasts on human skin that roamed the forest. It was his personal mission to thin the herd as much as possible before he joined it. Casper has no naive hope of surviving the forest. He knew it would be his final resting place, and he would lie here happily to rest forever beside Lyra.
However, at that moment, as he cried alone, he heard a whisper - a call from the forest. The one he followed.
There he finds a door leading to the dungeon challenge. The underground prison did not contain any challenges. It was just an island with one tower on it, surrounded by a black sea. Not from the water, but the black mud that Casper did not dare touch.
Inside the tower, he met her . Or at least part of him. And because he was offered a deal, he could not refuse. It helped prepare him, developing as his race reached level 25. The level he was still sitting at now. He has not been able to advance further.
Throughout the open ground where he sat, hundreds of dark metal spikes were embedded. Runes flowed on its surface as each of them pierced the corpse of the beast.
Casper felt a jolt as he opened his eyes, regaining consciousness once more, as he looked up and saw the blue-eyed blond teenager from his former camp staring at him. William.
"Hello, oh master of traps and deceit," said the teenager as he bowed excessively towards Casper. He had a cute look in his eyes and a friendly smile on his lips. Yet he stayed far enough away, not daring to enter the open completely.
"You really came," said Casper, part of him a little surprised regardless of the words.
"That's a free tutorial, buddy, no one told me where I could and couldn't go," William replied with a laugh, clearly mocking Casper.
"No, but you're following their wishes" Casper scoffed. "So, why did you come, William?"
William completely ignored the first part as he responded to the second part. “I just want to know why you asked me; I don't remember we had beef? ”
“Stop being stupid on purpose. Your efforts to start a war are very clear to anyone who is not constantly trapped inside the camp. Richard knows. Half of his men know. So stop this silly joke and talk about yourself as you really are for once" Casper said, a little annoyed.
The young teenager's attitude changed as he looked back, his smile lingering, but his eyes were cold. "good. Let's talk. But I'm leaving first... What's your plan here? Your plan was to recklessly try to hunt down Hayden and his men for days and then just disappear in the middle of it?”
William stared. Clearly, a little confused by the explosion.
“To be honest, I don't understand why they overdo it when killing, and I think torture is pretty stupid. But isn't it just as illogical to react like you? You are risking your life for nothing by going closer and closer to their headquarters rather than just going for an easier beast. Do you not care about tutorial points or experience at all?”
William did not ask to provoke. He was honestly curious. He doesn't understand it. He was puzzled as to why the reaction from Hayden was so cruel, from the very beginning. He had lost his son, an important asset for sure, but why the response?
Casper looked slightly towards the young man before he answered with his own question. One, he already knew the answer. "Have you ever lost someone you love?"
“Say I have; why does it make me take revenge to the point of ignoring all logic like you?” William asked, a little confused by the question. To be honest, he had always been somewhat confused by the term 'love'. It seemed like a somewhat undefined emotion, and he was very unsure how exactly it worked.
“If you love someone, they become an important part of your world. If you love someone enough, they become your whole world. Then, if someone takes that world, don't you want to take it in return?” Casper asked, unable to hide his emotions. She hated herself for not realizing how much Lyra meant to her. They only spent a week together.he knew it was illogical, but he couldn't let it go.
“But will take the world they return yours? If not.. wouldn't it be better to try and build a new world? Although it seems a bit foolish to invest so much on something that you lose everything by losing it, ” William said. He could somewhat understand the analogy, but he was still not entirely sure.
“You won't understand, William. Love is an emotion too complicated for people like you to understand,” Casper said. Deliberately trying to upset the young man a little: A little revenge, if you will.
“Define love?” asked the young man, a little annoyed.
“You'll never get it, William. You will never understand the feeling of losing someone. Completely lost someone, ” Casper said with a smile on the young man. "And that's your biggest weakness."
"What are you talking about?" William sneering. A weakness? What is this fool about?
“You're ruined - even more than me. You believe that emotion is weakness.when your inability to feel is a true weakness,” Casper said as he stood up.
“If they are very important, then why don't you explain them? Make them really reasonable for once? ” said the young caster, as he prepared to attack. “Because from what I see, the only thing that emotions bring is ignorance.”
"I won't waste my time doing things in vain" Casper chuckled.
William, now healthy and truly upset, returns to the tried and tested method. Threats.
“If you do as I say, I promise not to kill you. You know what I can afford.”
Shaking his head, Casper could only sigh. “William, that threat only works if the person you threaten cares about life. Oh, too.. I'm stronger.”.
As the words came out of his mouth, the two of them moved. A dagger flew out from William as he simultaneously summoned his wall to protect himself from any attack. Internally, he had already gathered energy to create his disc.
Casper, on the other hand, just stretched his hand out. All the surrounding spikes began to shine with a terrifying light as the shadow tendrils extended from each one. Gathered in a giant circle of darkness floating above his head.
The dagger was not even halfway through before they fell to the ground without danger, where within it was lost; its control over them was lost. William's wall was also shattered when the one holding him was overwhelmed. The energy he had built up to summon his disc was completely suppressed by the mighty aura of the dark sphere.
"A-" cried William as he froze.
“Hate, William. The hatred of the fallen. Pure emotions turned into power, a curse left behind by animals and humans, ” Casper explained as he stared at the ball.
He's not controlling it. He can't. It was a power far above what he could use.
“This is what you call weakness. See ye. How weak and meaningless you are. Observe the type of force that is too damaged for you to try to grasp. ”
William could only stand there, with wide eyes, his mouth shaking. “To... don't kill me! I don't kill-I win-“
“Ah, I won't kill you. Anyway, it'll be worth it. Others have claimed you. Neither my teacher nor I were interested in drawing unnecessary conflict. No, you are a witness, ” Casper said with a smile.
From under his robe, he took out a nail. The same kind he made with countless traps and killed dozens of humans. On it was a more complex script than the one around it.
“Goodbye, William. I'll get out of this godforsaken place first. May we never meet again, ”he said as he pierced his own heart. Dark runes, spreading from the spike into his own body.
The ball above reacted to his death, finally finding something to live in. Hate energy descended and entered into his body through each hole as he slowly began to rot. William just saw this, horrified and confused.
A while later, with all the energy now inside the dead archer, the runes transferred from the spike lit up. Where death spreads from the body. That's when the last part is activated.
The talisman, previously hidden, was activated. And with that, Casper disappeared from the tutorial.
"He did well," said the creature while nodding in satisfaction.
"Enough," the female voice agreed.
"At the same time, our Protector gave the order of lightning," the third chimed in.
They had observed the seer stone a moment before when they saw Casper disappear. Powerful magic circles before they were active at the same time. A large amount of mana was mobilized as a figure appeared standing in the center of the circle.
"It's done," the newcomer spoke as he walked forward, bowing to the three of them.
He has done everything as he was told. He didn't need to know why he had to do all the things he had done. That was just part of the deal he made. William had been led to his destination, and he had witnessed what he had to witness.
“That's great, Casper. Protector is satisfied with your appearance, ” said the first figure with unrelenting jealousy in his voice as he gestured with his skeleton hand for the young undead to rise. "And welcome to your afterlife."
