The Primal Hunter's

The Primal Hunter's
Relax

Jake can sense that his mana and stamina make sense despite the many Shadow Vaults. The vibration is also more than half full so there is no need to repeat more.

After he poisoned a few more arrows, he set his sights on the next package - four badgers, the level was similar to the one he had just taken out.

With Powershot, he once again took out the strongest group, as he retreated to where he fought against the first group to not attract more beasts. He had to be a little cautious for the latter group and fly them in circles, while he now had more room to use.

Minutes later, the monsters meet their end, as Jake once again levels up. Honestly, it's too easy. However, his arrow was getting lower, so he had to juggle again. His stamina had also started to decrease, so he decided to take a short break to collect the arrows while recovering his stamina.

The recovery occurred through the consumption of stamina potions, as he peered quickly at his spatial storage and saw that his stock was getting lower.

The consumption of her stamina potion was quite crazy. He used his skills freely, making him consume a lot of stamina. That, coupled with him who was still not used to making potions, made him have to drink one almost every hour while at rest.

Deciding to extend his break a little, he retreated to the tunnel where he entered and sat on the ground as he called out his mixing bowl.

After which, he took out pure water and put it in a bowl, along with Green Lavender and Evergreen Grass, as he prepared himself to make a stamina potion.

Placing his palm underneath, he activated the Alchemist's Flame, making a transparent flame appear. The water slowly heated up, as he used his other hand and a small series of mana to pick up the other materials as he began brewing.

He always found alchemy relaxing. Even during the dungeon challenge where his life was at stake, he still enjoyed it. It was challenging and complex, yet very satisfying to create something. Jake never really had a hobby that led to a real product, being too fond of archery or games.

The work is the same, with most of his creations only in the form of documents and images on the computer. He did not count compiling PowerPoint with a bunch of charts and forecasts to be considered a valuable or satisfying creation.

But seeing plants and water slowly change to the desired color, and hearing the following message of success is very satisfying, especially after a long struggle to make it right. He really doubted he would forget the first time he made such a rare Necrotic Poison.

Smiling at himself, he jumped into the job.

--

Hours passed in the blink of an eye, as Jake sat there engrossed in his alchemy.

The surrounding underground prison was silent, ferrets just roamed around, sniffing the ground and occasionally bumping into each other. The Alpha had just slept, as if waiting for a challenger to appear before him.

Only four groups of ferrets remained. One of them had four members like the one he had defeated, while the other two had five, and the last six. With the way they are placed, it seems clear that you have to fight them in the least order to the most, ending up against Alpha at the end.

Just like the fucking game, Jake sighed as he started packing up the unused ingredients and tossing the stamina potion he had made into his spatial storage, which he had been using, but not before taking it and chugging it. Interestingly enough, the newly created herb tastes exactly the same as the old one, leaving Jake to wonder if the herb has an expiration date.

He didn't get a level despite the hours that passed, but he didn't expect it either. While its leveling speed might be terrifying compared to many others with their profession, it was a slow and difficult process compared to leveling its class.

One fight that lasted only a few minutes could give him a level in his class, while he could easily perform alchemy all day without seeing any level increase, especially when he tried new recipes.

Of course, the profession was much safer to level up. Jake is not in danger while doing alchemy, and that is even with Jake's profession having a relatively high level of risk due to its focus on the use of powerful poisons. But compared to fighting a savage beast, the danger was negligible.

It should be noted that Jake was in relatively little danger during his fight, largely because his profession gave him very high vitality and toughness, makes it much more durable than any agility-based class that has ever been in the class. Coupled with the sheer number of race levels, it was no wonder that he could easily deal with monsters that were of a higher level than him.

After he finished cleaning everything up, he eliminated all distracting thoughts as he locked onto the next group of ferrets. Four of them again.

The battle goes on as expected, with Jake easily managing to fly them back and kill them one by one. He was perfectly suited against them, making it an easy task.

The three groups were now dead, with neither of them even touching the tip of his robe.

He did not get a level from the last group, but fortunately there were many enemies left.

The next group with five ferrets proved a little more annoying than the others. That extra beast allowed them to slowly master it until he was forced to meet the latter in close proximity. He ended up getting a nasty bite on his arm when he was forced to block his attack.

The attacker, however, is not much better as Jake uses an arrow to stab the beast repeatedly while holding it, with it being a battle of attrition. Perhaps the badger hoped the strong poison within his teeth would expel Jake before succumbing to his attack. A wish that quickly dies when Jake gets a notice of the murder.

However, to his surprise, he could not neutralize the poison completely through his Palate of the Malefic Viper. He felt a slight burning sensation in his arm as the poison struggled to travel through his veins. His health also decreased bit by bit as his vital energy slowly fought the poison.

That skill clearly increased his endurance, as he could sense the potential of poison poison through his Sense of the Malefic Viper. In terms of pure toxicity, it was equivalent to the blood it infused.

He was rather lucky even though the beasts had no resistance to poison themselves. Nothing to watch out for, at least. Which is not surprising because many animals usually do not even have resistance to their own toxins.

For example, a snake will be poisoned if it is bitten by another venomous snake of the same species, or even if it bites itself. Their venom is protein-based, meaning that although they can easily eat prey they have killed with their venom, the same poison will still be deadly if injected into themselves.

Protein-based means the stomach can break down and absorb it, making drinking snake venom harmless in most situations. If you don't have open sores in your mouth, throat, or stomach, that's all. However, it is still not recommended to drink poison under any circumstances.

And based on the poison that this ferret had, it seemed to have the same kind of snake venom. Of course, one had to consider the system and the possible magic elements involved. Jake can sense traces of inner energy within the poison, making it impure of physical substances.

The same goes for all of Jake's own poison. His blood and poison concocted both. His mana-based blood was quite clear, considering it was actually mana-injected blood. The ingredients used in the poison potion were also all filled with mana, making the poison made from it also inherently filled with mana.

Jake wondered how the poison from before the system would attack his body at this moment. He remembered certain animals were actually extremely poisonous, capable of killing giant animals even with a drop of their poison or poison.

That doesn't mean there's a way to find out in the end. The system is here, and it will most likely remain.

After less than a minute, he finally removed the last trace of poison on his arm, as he realized that it managed to take less than 1/20th of his total health.

Looking at his notifications quickly, he saw that he had gained another level in his class.

*'DING!' Class: [Ambicious Hunters] have reached level 36 - Allotted stat points, +4 free points*

*'DING!' Race: [Human (E)] has reached level 41 - Allotted stat points, +5 free points*

To be honest, this speed was ridiculous. But then again, he was a level 35 hunter who killed ferocious beasts around level 60. Moreover, he had the skills of Big Game Hunter, which helped him close the stat gap quite a lot. Seeing his class also reach level 36, he slapped his own forehead as he reprimanded himself.

Why would he use an arrow to stab a ferret? He could finally use his new sword!

Taking it, he directly injected mana and felt that unlike the rare Greatsword of Nature, this one did not reject it at all but smoothly absorbed his mana. He immediately felt a faint connection and realized how exactly his Invading Chill ability worked.

[Shortsword of Icy Winds (Rare)] – Swords made of Froststeel and reinforced with which Ice affinity for a long time. Due to the materials used, his blade attacked anyone exposed to the ice element energy. Charm: Attacking Cold.

Requirements: Lvl 35+ in any class.

Not that it was not like poison, but when compared to a poison that had some physical part, this suffering was entirely miraculous.

As the blade was now bound to him, the charm and power within it was also activated as the tip cooled - a frozen layer covered the metal as it started to emit a trail of steam.

He had tried to use the sword before he reached level 35 and discovered that he could not inject mana into it at all. As for holding it without tying it to himself, it was also impossible as his sword would not be right in his hand. It was a strange feeling, but it felt like if he tried to attack something with it, it would also not be as sharp as it should be.

He had completely forgotten to test whether the theory was true, but perhaps it was another experiment for another time.

The important thing now was that he finally had the right melee weapon once again. He had found a rare dagger in the valley before, which meant he could now duel using it along with the short sword.

Taking the dagger, which he tied to himself when he found it, he started swinging it to test how it felt.

To his satisfaction, he felt that the Twin Fang Style was indeed working with shortsword, making him not to lose the stat effectiveness bonus of the skill. He naturally still hasn't gotten the bonus "bone weapon", but hey, what can you do?

He decided to put the two weapons back into his storage because he honestly did not have the confidence to defeat the badgers purely using close range. One of the reasons he could handle them so easily was because he always killed one even before the fight started and then finished them off.

However, surrounded by five people, all of them clawed and bit him. Those damn things were also too big, reaching his chest. If they stood on their hind legs, they would have been over three meters tall, becoming the largest badgers he had encountered so far.

Of course, Alpha is even more prominent - about the size of a large horse, with a much larger size and presence due to its pointed skin. Inevitably he became a little excited by the prospect of going against him, but first, he had to get rid of the last three groups.

Checking his things, he was a little short of arrows.but he did not feel like repeating anymore, so he decided to make it a good reason as well to do a little melee combat when he ran out.

The first Badger falls with the regular Powershot, with the next two dying from the kiting combo and Splitting Arrow. The latter two only had minor injuries when they finally managed to pin him down.

With a hint of excitement, Jake took out his dagger and short sword, as he used the sword to block the first badger claw. He felt himself being pushed back, having a weakness in strength.

He barely had time to jump back in when the others tried to bite his neck. He struggles to gain a good foothold when the first one strikes again, but this time Jake puts the beast between himself and the one that bites the neck, making him unable to jump straight at him.

Taking the opportunity, he blocked the claw with a dagger once again, as he stabbed the savage beast in front of him, penetrating deep enough until a bone stopped the blade.

The weasel screeched as if it was going to go berserk, clawing and biting recklessly. An act that, unfortunately, only makes the fight easier for Jake. The creature was stronger and a little faster than himself, but also very predictable.

He landed a few more wounds on the beast while he avoided the others, who were still desperately trying to bite him to pieces. The ferret was getting slower with each slash of his sword, the Cold Invasion of the sword seeped into his muscles and stiffened his muscles. Finally, he approached and landed the Touch of the Malefic Viper as he placed his palm on the side of the beast's wrinkled face.

His creak grew louder as the poison slowly began to rot on his face, as Jake Shadow Vaulted backwards, no longer disturbing the thing. It's dead already. A prediction that proved correct in just a few seconds as the poison spread to the brain.

The remaining weasel did not seem to be in the least bit distracted by the gruesome death of his former comrade as it continued its frenzied attack.

A few minutes later, he suffered the same fate when Jake thrust a sword into his heart after his movements also began to stiffen and sloppy.

Jake did not come out of the fight unscathed because his robe was fine and completely ragged, and he had a few claw marks all over his arms and chest. He had even been bitten once again, and even on the same arm. But the thrill of the fight makes the pain irrelevant. The sword was sharp, and the icy agony had done a great job. It even made him think of making a nerve toxin to double its crippling effects.

However, the most important thing, for now, was another level.

*'DING!' Class: [Ambicious Hunters] have reached level 37 - Allotted stat points, +4 free points*

Two more groups and one big badger left.
