As his vision began to return, the only feeling in his body that remained was the continuous burning pain in his hands, extending to his arms and to his entire body. It doesn't feel evil, it's just a lot stronger than Jake's body is capable of handling.
As his feet touched the ground, he also fell to his knees, panting while holding onto his chest. The pain gradually faded and was replaced by a strong feeling of power. It was unlike the level-ups he had felt before, and certainly far more so than when he was developing his race.
He enjoyed the feeling for a while before things finally calmed down. Raising his hand, he could feel that he was becoming stronger. Viper has done something. Gave him something.
Opening his status screen, he met with many messages, but the first one alone gave him a nice pause.
*Accrued Gifts*: [True Blessing of the Malefic Viper (Gift - True)] – An alchemist recognized by Malefic Viper himself. Some throughout the ages have found themselves blessed by the Primordial, despite their desire to be so. Through your direct karmic connection, the wisdom and will of the Malefic Viper empowers you. +10% Willpower, +10% Wisdom. Access to many new routes. Only one blessing can be held at a time.
Jake was confused as he read it, before finally feeling a little upset. "At least can ask first," he murmured to himself.
Leaving the Malefic Viper as Protector? All skills, degrees, and faith-based blessings will be lost.
"What's? No, no, no, it's okay. Jeez,” said Jake quickly when the order disappeared. While he was a little annoyed, it was not like he wanted to throw away such free stats.
Wisdom had been his highest stat before his evolution and was likely to remain afloat long enough, so getting an extra 10% already gave him a bonus stat in double digits. Willpower is also a good stat to improve.
Jake believes that it was his determination that kept him calm and in control throughout the tutorial, but he had to reconsider.
However, reading his description, he was puzzled, as blessings described him not as a god but a Primordial. Maybe they are the same thing? Although he doubted it was just semantics, because he added something else to be a book. Nevertheless, the bonus of determination is good, and if nothing else increases the regeneration of mana, which is always welcome. Moreover, he didn't really see much use at the moment.
Moving down the list, she noted how she seemed to open up her profession enhancement after she got a blessing.
*Congratulations, you have successfully developed your profession*
Prodigious Alchemist of the Malefic Viper – An Extraordinary Alchemist from the Malefic Viper has come a long way from when he first concocted his first poison. You have shown speed and skill at the top. Allowing the alchemist to combine the world's natural treasures, and make potions, pills, transmute one ingredient into another, with many other mystical ways to discover. This rare type of alchemist specialized in the production of poisons, contrary to the expertise of potions. Your proven talent as a death artist stands above all peers, signifying the arrival of another omen of decay that follows in the footsteps of the Malefic Viper. Only his chosen ones can take this path. Bonus Stat per level: +4 Vit, +4 Wis, +3 Will +2 Tough +2 Int, +5 Points Free.
*'DING!' Profession: [Prodigious Alchemist of the Malefic Viper] has reached level 25 - Allotted stat points, +5 free points*
*'DING!' Race: [Human (F)] has reached level 17 - Allotted stat points, +5 free points*
Nothing was out of hope there, other than perhaps a massive influx of statistics from professions and races that leveled up.
With the evolution of the profession, he naturally also gained some skills. But inversely proportional to when he got the profession, the upgrade only gave two new skills.
*Askilled acquired*: [Achemical Flame (General)] – An alchemist's flame is one of the most important aspects of the manufacturing process. The flame itself is less affinity and is not polluted by the combustion impurities of the catalyst. The path to refining one's alchemy flame was a long and difficult one for all alchemists seeking a peak. Allowing alchemists to create small alchemy flames, radiating heat. Adding a slight increase to the effectiveness of the Alchemy Flame based on wisdom
*Getting skill*: [Touch Malefic Viper (Rare)] – With one touch, Malefic Viper has killed countless enemies. Trying to inject poison into a creature through physical contact. The nature of the poison is determined by the user. The alchemist could only use the effects of the poison he had created or created earlier. Some poisons cannot be used. Add a slight improvement to the effectiveness of the Touch of the Malefic Viper based on intelligence and wisdom.
According to the book, the first one was the basic skill that all alchemists at level 25 possessed. The next one is more interesting. This could easily be interpreted as the first battle-related skill he gained from his profession. Rarely, but not impossible if the good books can be trusted.
It was not directly useful, still stuck in the dungeon and so on, but he could see it as a valuable skill on the outside. It was also great to take advantage of his high wisdom and growing intelligence statistics.
As he continues the list, the last two notifications are ... This shit
*Receiving Degree*: [Primordial True Blessing Holders] – Getting True Blessing from Primordial. Many claim divinity in the vast multiverse, many pantheon rule, but few Primordials. Even less, those who were truly blessed by the Primordial. May you bring glory to your Protector. Deliver skill: [Shroud of the Primordial]. +5 all stats, +10% all stats.
The title was completely ridiculous and explained where the feeling of power he felt came from. 10% to all the stats was insane. Even now, it gave him so much, and he could not imagine its value as his stats grew.
Then again, he is unsure about how common the percentage multiplier is for statistics. After all, he currently already possessed four.one of his Bloodline Patriarch title, one of his own bloodline abilities, and two of the blessings and titles he had just obtained. Which means he technically only got it from two sources – blessings and his lineage.
Although he was certain, there were definitely more out there.
Moving on to the final skill, the surprise only continued.
*Acquired Expertise*: [Shroud of the Primordial (Divine)] – A shroud surrounds your being, Your Notes are closed, Your status is inaccessible. Scryers cry at the thought of tracking down your one move, because you remain a puzzle to their view. Using Identification on you, but a futile effort. Karmic thread behind you, an endless net that is impossible to unravel. One did not just peek behind the Primordial Shroud. Hide Your Notes and Status from all eyes except the most powerful. The ability to hide increases based on willpower.
He had no idea what most skills were doing, but it seemed to have some sort of blurring effect on the person trying to use magic to find it, and it could block the person using Identification on him. It also finally confirmed that the Identification skill could be used on others. Perhaps he could now after being upgraded to a general rarity, but he would have to wait by testing it out.
Moreover, he felt that most of what this skill did was something he would never be aware of.
The last point is scarcity. Divineness. Like on the god level. Which is a bit crazy to imagine. The scarcity of the second highest skill was rare, and even the skill he felt was extremely powerful. How many ranks above rare were even divine?
The only sad thing was probably the fact that the skill had a strange nature. If it was a defensive or offensive skill, it would likely be an extremely powerful trump card. The passive shroud is nice, but the neighboring grass is greener and so on. He could see some of the advantages becoming harder to trace with magic, and of course, with Identifying blocked.
After going through all his new skills and titles, he finally opened his status screen to see the end result.

The stat increase was huge throughout the line. A bit of quick math, he also confirmed that the stat percentage bonus is additive and not multiplication. That still results in a 20% increase in his statistical wisdom and willpower from titles obtained today alone. And that's in addition to the bonus of the level and 5 in all stats.
Not bad .. not bad at all. I had to meet the snake god more often, thought Jake jokingly to himself, smiling at the ridiculous nature he was getting from all these great advantages. Imagine what he would give me if I brought a gift ... note to myself: bring the blue mushrooms next time.
Richard let out a loud sigh as the man finished his report. The former archer, now upgraded to a class called Scout, has brought more bad news. An everyday occurrence at this time.
“Master, the boy is too volatile. We'd better put him down,” said the scout. “She was too stuck in her own world to notice anything around her. He believed himself to be some kind of god. Just tell me, and I'll have an arrow in the back of his head in an hour's time. ”
Richard shook his head. “No, just keep shadowing him and tracking his movements. I've seen a lot of his type before. He was an arrogant child, but his skills were the real one. Someone like him is useful if controlled.”
The scout sighed as he turned to the door. "I hope you know what you're doing, boss."
"I also did it honestly," Richard said, again sighing. He must admit that he is beginning to regret his decision to let William go wild. The boy was overconfident, to the level of pure ignorance. For God's sake, if his rampant killing didn't make him stand out, the fact that everyone in the damn camp could see his level was too high by identifying did. The young man refrained from learning a profession, rather than improving his Identification skills. He didn't seem to even know it was improved, even though it was common knowledge around the camp. And now, after obtaining the profession, he still had not put two and two together.
No, he completely ignored everything. Instead, he focused on his own stupid mission. Awakening war. And although Richard hated to admit it, the kid's actions were effective. Too effective.
For a while, the conflict escalated, and chaos finally broke out a week ago when the son of the other faction leader was killed. And not just killed. William had sent his head flying to their headquarters with a dagger stuck in his head.
Worse, he wrote, "Richard say hi" on his forehead. Needless to say, Hayden, the other leader, was furious. He had personally come out and massacred an entire group from Richard's faction. From the look of the battle, he not only killed them but also tortured them to death, likely trying to find the culprit behind the murder of his son.
After that, it just got worse. A line that should never have been crossed. Now fights are no longer just killing each other. Richard can handle it. He has done so much abroad. But what is happening now is wrong.
It has reached a point where anyone who is not from your faxes is automatically designated as an enemy. The unaffiliated, who are just trying to survive on their own, are also victims. There was even one incident where two people from the same faction ended up fighting due to pure paranoia, one of whom was even dying.
Hearing the cabin door open, Richard looked up to see Jacob and Caroline enter. Perhaps the little bright spot throughout this nightmare are two people who end up finding love through adversity. Richard was really happy for them. Jacob had also proved himself invaluable in managing the camp.
“I heard about your friend. I'm so sorry for your loss,” Richard said as they sat on several wooden chairs across from his desk. Ahmed, one of the base casters, was one of the people who fell today. Not by William, but by a group from another faction. The necessary sacrifice.
"Thank you," said Jacob, looking sad at the other man. "You know, today half of my colleagues and I are dying or missing."
Hearing that, Richard smiled inwardly at the unexpected queue. “Speaking about the archer, where is he?”
Surprised, Jacob looked at the man in confusion. She has not seen or heard from Jake since the day they parted, and to be honest, even though she initially believed him, she begins to doubt he is still alive. While Jacob does not expect him to actually come back and check regularly, he expects some sort of contact for what is now almost a month.
"I don't know where he is or if he lives" Jacob replied honestly. "But if he lives, I hope he might make it through the barrier somehow."
The barrier was something they encountered as they stepped further into the forest, right in the middle of the entire dome which was his tutorial. They had yet to find a way to enter it, but at least no one came out as well.
"Maybe" said Richard. He didn't really think archers were involved, but he was a potential red herring. “I have the feeling of someone pulling the rope. I have felt it since the first group of them were killed. No one ever took credit for the first murder. I didn't hear any chatter or rumors about who did it. I'm afraid there's a third party who might be involved.” Richard said as he leaned back on the wooden chair.
"You think it's Jake?" Caroline asked, turning the attention of the two men to her.
“It's very possible. It might as well be just Hayden and his men behind it all,” Richard said.
“I really doubt Jake is involved. I've known him for a long time, he's not a homicidal maniac. You've seen what people are doing out there. It's not Jake,” Jacob said firmly.
“I don't accuse anyone. Let's not ignore the potential threats. Now, what's the progress around the camp? ”
Jacob sighed but obeyed him while reading the latest key numbers.
More and more fighters are starting to learn the profession to get more stats and race levels. One of the main reasons is the lack of high-level animals that provide experience in the forest. Another reason was the greatly increased danger with the ongoing faction war.
Levels get harder as you progress, but these difficulties apply to professions and classes separately. Those with high-level classes even had an easier time leveling the profession than those who only focused on the profession due to their higher stats.
A balanced approach between the two is considered the most efficient. Getting to the 10th profession can be quickly done in a few days, including opening the profession itself.
Even Richard had leveled the smith because the profession gave the best stats for him. 'The current 'Meta' was to get level 25 in one's class and then focus a little on one's profession.
Jacob reports that Joanna was the first to gain the evolution of her profession. She has gone from a Starter Tailor to an Experienced Tailor. The stat advantage has doubled from 4 to 10 per level and, of course, comes with some valuable skills.
The second part is that although the brutality of the conflict is increasing, the actual number of deaths is not. That's not too surprising, considering the number of survivors is greatly reduced. Open the tutorial panel,

They were nearly 200 people now in their faction, and they needed some way to identify each other in the forest, as just remembering everyone was absurd. To fix it, they have passwords for everyone who goes hunting.
Finishing the conversation, they said goodbye, and the two left the building.
Richard leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes. He has made a lot of bets in this tutorial. Much more than he likes. Hayden and his faction have proved a challenge. William is a useful tool for spurring action. It is also great to have a scapegoat if too many are caught.
Opening his search window, he narrowed his eyes at his progress. Soon he will have half of the entire tutorial in his grasp. After getting rid of Hayden, it should be possible to throw William under the bus as a warmonger and try to reduce the hatred between the two factions. It was a plan filled with flaws, but it had to be workable.
William ended up taking on a profession, but to him it did not seem at all how foolish he had been in the past. He also makes a mental note to make William chase after the trapper, Casper. The trapper starts to get suspicious of Richard and William, but more than that, he becomes unstable. William is at least predictable, but Casper is just a pure emotion. Richard inevitably shivered at the traps he had set.
This tutorial will be the basis for what he will build in the new world. Unfortunately, Casper doesn't fit in with that.
