Now, the entire valley had been thoroughly cleaned. Herbs, key boxes, even wild beasts were all gone. It took hours, and the sun had set long enough, but Jake was more than satisfied. While he managed to obtain another level, it was the loot that made him the most happy.

For the herbs, he had found a group that he could not recognize at all; however, the Sense of the Malefic Viper told him that it was useful, that it was useful, and using Identification on them confirmed that it was indeed a magic potion. Everything is lower or rare except shrubs with berries in the middle of the valley.

This is where the really good things are. Jake's been pissed for too long with his weak arrows. They broke too easily, reducing his Powershot power by quite a lot, and he often found they were unable to penetrate as deeply as he wanted to better deliver his poison.

From the very beginning, he had learned to increase the durability of his bow with mana, making even the rarest of them manageable. After obtaining a rare enhanced bow from an archer who had been at a party with the Blade of Nature warriors, he did not have a single problem with it. At least not for now.

But arrows cannot be injected with mana in the same way. The mana spreads more or less instantly after it is injected. It did the same thing with the bow, but since he held it at all times, it didn't really matter. He naturally could not do the same with arrows as they would lose their purpose if he started stabbing people with them like a dagger. Something, indeed, he had done at certain times.

A hemotoxin would be much more effective at draining the vital energy of his opponent. Most beasts did not have high vitality, but this type of arrow would be much better for those who had it.

Like a dizzy child at Christmas, he got up and threw a new tube over his shoulder. It was like getting a new toy. A toy made to inflict terrible wounds and death on others.

The valley is now empty, forcing Jake to climb one of the two mountains that surround him. Of the three volcano-like mountains he could see, he chose the closest one. It is difficult to climb these hollow mountains from the mountainous paths of the valleys that surround them, but they are quite accessible from the valley itself.

He started running towards the nearest uphill road towards the top of one of the volcanoes. The closest one also happens to be the smallest, leading Jake to believe whatever is found there has a lower difficulty level than the other two.

The mountain in the middle was much more gigantic compared to the other two mountains he could see. As he ran from the valley, he did not meet any beasts in the slightest, until he finally met a small group of colorful elemental raptors.

One is red, one is brown, and the last is blue. They have the fire element, earth element, and ice/water element, respectively, based on previous encounters with their type.

Not because it's finally important. In Jake's opinion, the raptors are too weak to pose a threat. But they were perfect as targets to test his new arrow.

Taking one, he decided not to use any poison. It is better to just test the use of arrows without any other factors.

He decided to use his usual strategy when he filled out Powershot. He decided to use a powerful one to test the durability of the arrow. After nearly ten seconds of charging, he unleashed an arrow into the usual burst of power as waves of dust kicked around him.

It was fast, but at the same time, too slow for Jake as he quickly dodged the attacks from the two ferocious beasts with quick strides as he counterattacked. His arm was slightly itchy due to Powershot, but he returned fire with Splitting Arrow.

The arrow was fired from his bow as mid-flight split into four, with three of them hitting a brown dinosaur.

He managed to unleash another splitting arrow before he had to dodge the other ice shards, followed by streams of flames from the heavily injured Redhide Raptor that managed to bounce back once again.

The beast was extremely weak as the arrow had undoubtedly pierced through several important organs. It will heal in time. If could.

Jake unleashes a series of arrows at the hapless raptor, unable to dodge. The one marking the end was the one that pierced through his hard skull and entered his brain. Smiling satisfied at the sharpness of the arrows, he turned his attention back to the two remaining beasts.

Oh well, it's time to continue, Jake thought inwardly as he continued his mountaineering journey. Hopefully, he'll find prey that really lets his new equipment shine.
