17. The Lost Memory

After the glass breaking that he did at Silvia's wedding yesterday, it seems to have entered into the ears of papa and also his grandfather Darren. Despite having received a message from his father to return home, Darren still does not want to obey his orders and chooses to ignore every call from his father, even from his grandfather.

"Lu really don't want to go home? I'm sure today Edward won't stay silent, especially about yesterday's problems!" Lucas said.

"Did I care about that? he's always like that, taking issue with the real thing, and pretending to be pretentious when he doesn't." Reply Darren with a joke.

Lucas understood very well the relationship between Darren and his father, which was never a warm word between the two of them. "Have Grandpa Ferdi called you too? Is it okay you didn't lift it?"

"Open you've reported everything to him?"

"Already, anyway. But at least you answered the phone from him."

"Yes, then the problem is over, right! So, there's no reason for me to pick up the phone." Darren replied, doesn't seem to care about it.

"He's worried about you, not scolding you, can't you answer the phone for a second?" Lucas refers to Darren's grandfather.

"If you're worried, he should just come here, why call me? I'm lazy to answer anyone's phone." Reply Darren cuek.

"Basic, it's cold to be a person." Lucas was completely out of words on the attitude of his best friend and boss. Although he has known him for a long time, sometimes it still makes him confused about his attitude.

"It's up to you lha, the important thing today is you have to come to the hospital."

"Well! Why do I have to go to the hospital?" Darren said confusedly looking at Lucas.

"Don't tell me you forgot your promise yesterday? There's a schedule for your health check-up today!" Lucas stared hard at Darren.

"I know, but yesterday did you still say you'd schedule it? Why so cute, gini?"

"Yes the end of Heru doctors is usually today. So, I don't want to have to today."

"Ah, really males. I'm not even okay with this! I'm not in the mood to come to the hospital." Tukas Darren seemed reluctant to come.

"No way, the promise of a pilgrimage. Yesterday you said you wanted to, so today still has to come." Lucas replied firmly, not even giving any gap to Darren.

"Just come to the hospital by yourself. I still don't want to come." Darren Kekeh.

It seems Lucas already understood the nature of Darren, until he was calm even though Darren kekeh refused to come to the hospital.

"Oh, jude. I'll report it to Ferdi's grandfather let him drive you straight to the hospital." Lucas said a little threateningly.

Darren was out of words to see Lucas' threat, he could only sigh in annoyance and no longer argue.

"Good, sweet child is always obedient." Lucas teased Darren a little.

"Well! Just so you know, I'm not like this because I'm afraid of your threats, just don't hear the hospitality from grandfather."

"Yes yes, ok lha, I understand, really." Lucas nodded in understanding at Darren's rebuttal, as if reluctant to respond.

After struggling with a super busy job, Darren and Lucas finally go to the hospital as they planned. They came when it was a bit late afternoon, which is 4 pm, considering the schedule of both of them are equally empty at that hour.

"How is the doctor? What's the problem with his brain?" Lucas asked who accompanied Darren to check his condition.

"There's actually no serious problem in his brain." Answer the doctor Heru.

"Well, what did I say! I'm fine, just a little dizzy yesterday." Timpal Darren tried to convince Lucas.

Even so, Lucas still can not take it for granted.

"Is it true nothing happened Doc was the same? You mean yesterday he groaned in pain on his head?" Lucas asked to make sure he came back.

"From the results of the examination there is no serious problem in the brain" said Heru doctor while showing the results of his tests on Lucas and Darren.

"Then, if it's okay with his brain, why did he groan in pain yesterday at his head?" Lucas asked, referring to Darren's condition, which yesterday had been in pain, even unconsciously breaking the glass he was holding.

"If you see the results of the image that is visible, there is no serious problem. However, because Darren had suffered a severe injury to his head, until his memory was lost, and often felt pain in the head. Actually this was due to the side effects caused from his injury back then." Obviously doctor.

"What does the doctor mean, this is because Darren recalls half of his memory being lost?" Ask Lucas again.

"True, it seems like there is something that makes his brain react to the memory of his past memory that was lost, to cause pain in his head."

Both Lucas and Darren became silent after hearing the explanation from Heru's doctor, especially for Darren himself, who was rethinking about half his memory being lost.

"What makes my brain react?"

Darren looks confused by the intentions of the doctor Heru, considering that he was still fine and nothing disturbed him. However, he suddenly remembered his meeting with the woman he met at the wedding yesterday.

"Ah, can't there be anything to do with it? We're meeting for the first time?"

He immediately denied his own thoughts, because he felt very unreasonable about it.

"Do you think my lost memory doctor can come back?" Ask Darren later.

"It could be, but it all takes time. Amnesia that does not mean it cannot be cured, especially if you only experience partial amnesia, it's also you just forget your memories while in Australia, otherwise you still remember. If you want therapy, you can still." Obviously Dr. Heru.

"Therapy?" Mumbled.

Darren realized that during waking from his coma, all he did was recover the wounds in his body, even when he first regained consciousness, he even had time to forget the events he experienced.

Right, it's just the memory of living in Australia that Darren forgot. About his injuries, his friends, his life while there all can not be remembered by Darren. Every time he tried to remember it, it was his accident that left him in a coma and lying in a hospital bed for almost a year. His head would feel pain every time he tried to remember it, until finally he gave up and no longer scratched it and chose to forget it.

"True, why is that memory all I've forgotten?"
