Bu Endang

I knew him seven years ago from my Aunt who was also a teacher. 

Dra.Raden Roro Sri Endang Koes Hetmanti, M.Pd, is a gentle and wise Javanese woman.  I just lost my job. The factory I worked at went bankrupt. There is a massive PHK.

Unemployment was stressful for me until Auntie, who was about to retire, offered me a job at her elementary school. That was the beginning of my introduction to Bu Endang. A person who amazed me with his friendly attitude.

Born to a Police father and a Midwife mother, little Bu Endang aspires to be a cop like his father. However, fate led him to become a teacher.  He served as a teacher for many years and then became a school principal.

I also did not expect to be this close to Bu Endang. My job was initially only to help in the Business Administration section and then concurrently as an operator. And then Ms. Endang asked me to teach in the 2nd grade, after I finished my PGSD lecture, which was also with her help.

He encouraged me to continue my studies at that time. When I said there was no funding, he volunteered to help me financially, looking for a college campus for me to study, to provide books for me to study. I owe so much to the kindness of his heart. 

Ms. Endang often asked me to help with the reports. I am happy to always help him. Again, his caretaker attitude made me comfortable. I was often asked to accompany him when he was going to travel somewhere. Many colleagues were surprised by my closeness with Bu Endang.

Ah, stupid time. As Ms. Endang often said, don't mind. Negative-minded people must think I'm a sycophant or something. While people who think positively will definitely think naturally if Bu Endang often asked for my company. First, because I am a girl. If I were a man it would definitely cause slander. The second one is single. No husband or child would mind if I came home late. At this school, I was single. 

Bu Endang has two children. Two of them have families. The first woman worked as a Dentist and lived in Semarang following her husband who served there as a member of the TNI. The second man works as a tax employee and is assigned in Balikpapan. Ms. Endang who will soon enter retirement only lives alone with her husband. Her husband is a Navy officer who has also entered retirement. 

Rumah Bu Endang will only be crowded if it fits Lebaran leave only. Because at that time, his daughter's son will come to visit and spend the holidays at his home. Just like his mother, his two sons and daughters also have a friendly and friendly attitude to anyone. Including to me. They were also happy to hear about my marriage to Mas Farid. Despite not being able to come to attend, their congratulations and wedding gifts were sent to me. I am very moved. 

And the newness of the sacred day increased - added when I kissed Bu Endang's hand with tears spilled. Ms. Endang and her husband were witnesses to my marriage. He hugged and kissed me. Again, I am very grateful to this woman. Very grateful to be able to be met with a very good and sincere figure like him. The person who has helped me so much. Including in the affairs of a soul mate.
