I don't know how long Dul languished and pressed his face muffle the sound. Her crying was longer than she expected. Little by little the knots in his heart felt unraveling. The surrounding voice slowly quieted down and over time he no longer felt a soft clap on his shoulder. Perhaps due to the day that made her mind and body tired, Dul slept without dreams that night.
Dul turned to look at the door. Realized that her mother was no longer next to her. It must be Bara who asked her mother to change rooms when they were asleep. Dul cheered a smile. Bara recalled the story about her mother who was always restless when the age of the womb was getting bigger. Repeatedly turning around to change positions. Bara is often awakened only to move to the other side. So, Bara must be worried that her mother forgot which room she was lying in.
The typical sounds of the kitchen in the morning were heard all the way to his room. The sound of silks collides with fryers, the sound of dishwasher faucets, also the sound of dishes arranged on the dining table. Dul stretched his body. A new day has arrived, he thought. He won't ask you anything more. Last night, he and his mother agreed to forget everything.
“Can be the same as the wake,” said Bara when he saw Dul and Mima together out of the room.
“Who takes a shower first?” ask Mima.
“Mas aja,” replied Mima in a raucous voice. The little girl went straight towards Bara and dropped her body on the lap. “Mau nasi goreng enggak pedes,” said Mima.
Bara raised Mima to sit on her lap. “That fried rice is not finished. Want to take a shower or eat?” ask Bara.
“Eat aja,” Mima replied.
The colonized appeared from the front and immediately turned into Dul's room. A few moments in Dul's room, and then out again and into Mima's room.
“Mandi, yes. Come on, take a shower in Mom's room. Let's eat it better.” Sejah came to Mima and pinched softly the cheek of the little girl who closed her eyes again in Bara's arms.
“Mmmm...” Mima shook her head, as if continuing to sleep.
“Still going to bed, yes?” tanya Bara, kiss Mima's head.
“Come, shower. Let's be beautiful,” said Sejah, memgamit arm Mima to get down from the lap of Bara.
Mima got down and dragged his steps following the Sejah. Bara chuckles as Mima's hand releases the tip of her shirt long enough.
The learning year is over. All the school children are relaxing. Most have received reports and relax enjoying a vacation at home. The entrance exam for SMP admission will be held in the next few days. And instead of being able to relax, Dul was even more preoccupied with the new problem model that Bara brought from the office.
Mima ran from the room with wet hair and face covered in powder. Usually, the little girl is difficult to ask for a morning shower, but will always be preoccupied with playing warm water.
“Udah seger, eat the rice,” said Bara, thrusting a plate Mima already filled with non-spicy fried rice by Mbok Jum.
“Come, a lot of maem. Let it get big fast. I want SD,” Mbok Jum told Mima.
“Jah, later I come home from work stop by Mbak Fifi's office, yes. Nemenin Mas Heru's. I don't know what show I have, either. But it won't be long, Dul also has to exercise questions,” explained Bara, rubbing the arm of Dijah who was sitting next to him filling the plate with a barrel of rice.
“In Mbak Fifi's office must be a lot of beautiful girls,” said Sejah.
“Quiet aja. There will be no one who mengeliatin Mas if the road is the same Mas Heru,” sloroh Bara.
Dul, who had just arrived at the dining table, smiled at his father's words. There is a point, Dul thought. His calm father is a little less visible if it is side by side with the crowded Heru. But, for Dul there lies the charm of his father. Calm and don't seem to care much about the surroundings. Although his father was warm and sensitive.
“Ya is nothing. Jealousy means love,” replied Sejah.
“Means Mom loves Dad,” cetus Mima.
Bara chuckles. “Iya. It was two women who said it, it's time for me to give up and go to work. Isn't that right, Dul?”
Dul just smiled while chewing the rice. A new day, he thought. No one talks about yesterday and yesterday anymore. It was all over and as his mother said. They can forget.
“Mother nganter Dad ahead. Mima abisin. Can't eat ice cream if you haven't eaten rice,” said Dijah, rising from a chair while holding Bara's arm.
Dul observes his fathers who walk forward while embracing each other. Usually Bara will start the car first and wait a while while hugging Sejah in the doorway. Hearing small complaints and appeals not to go home for too long.
“My waist this hour doesn't hurt, but if you want to sleep at night, the pain is incredible. Make it not good to sleep,” complained Colored with his two hands coiled around Bara's waist.
“Iya, Mas tau .. patient. Soon lahiran. The bag made it to the hospital has been put in the back of the car. You just sit back and relax. Lahiran safely, healthy and able to breastfeed this baby boy.” Bara rubbed the stomach of Sejah who closed his eyes inhaling the scent of perfume on his shirt.
That's the view Dul wanted. It is natural, unmatched and as in general. He does not like anything excessive. All things should be in their own portion. He and his mother can live a quiet life even though they have to go a little bit around the road.
And the SMP acceptance test finally arrived. Sejah had whined from the day before to join Dul waiting. That time, Bara refused his request.
Like Mima, Dijah continues to grumble while preparing provisions. It looks so cute. And Dul understood very well that once his father had said no, the answer would still be no. Although the rejection will be very subtle in its delivery. In that case, Dul realized that Bara was very imitating the attitude of Mr. Wirya who never seemed to express his disapproval.
Dul and Bara are already on the terrace. Bara started the car and put down his backpack. After again reminding all the need to run the test, Bara asks Dul to get into the car first.
Actually without being asked, Dul had certainly left Bara on the terrace to wait for the Sejah out of the house with various complaints and messages.
The morning was colonized out with a box of provisions containing unspent breakfast. Mima followed with a toy in her hand. After getting a kiss first, Mima immediately shot back into the house. Bara's turn hugged Dijah and waited for the woman to tiptoe to kiss his chin.
In the car, Dul laughed. She doesn't know how her mother has changed so much since marrying her father. Apparently, his mother can also be spoiled like Mima.
With the car glass half open, Dul can hear the conversation of his parents. Still discussing the topic yesterday it turns out. About his mother who wanted to come, but still not allowed. Then I don't know what the continuation of that conversation is. His mother approached the car and knocked on the glass.
“Do not pack Daddy down and sit in the stall, yes Dul ...”
Dul nodded and flashed a smile at Bara who was behind the Colon.
Bara followed into the car with a grimacing face. “Iya..iya, the more chatty,” Bara said, open the glass and pinch the cheek Colored.
