Dul
154. A Convincing Night

It should have been a year that could have gone a long way. Especially if you are waiting or waiting. In fact, Maospati Magetan took most of the attention and time of a Abdullah. Being a combat aviator in the 14th Air Squadron was the dream thing of most Air Force Academy graduates. Obviously it becomes a dream and pride because it is not an easy thing.

Not only does it need high ability, prospective pilots also need high luck to be able to pass each process. Thankfully, Dul managed to get through his first love period with the F-5 Tiger II aircraft with a very sweet. He was met with seniors and mentors that he could call friends. Even a superior has promised him to try the F-16 C/D fighter which is a replacement for the Sukhoi Su-27/30.

Air Squadron Lanud Iswahjudi, Magetan will always remember being a sweet start in his aviation career. Things that are very different from what he experienced in terms of romance.

Her story with Annisa is not so sweet. In a matter of so many years they live mostly filled with waiting or rather waiting for each other.

The kiss the other day that he did to release the longing while convincing the feelings of Annisa, in fact did not bring a big change. Even his promotion to First Lieutenant did not inspire the woman to meet the invitation to come to Magetan. Annisa is drowning in an obsession satisfying her papa's demands.

In the last message that Annisa pinned when the invitation to the promotion ceremony, the woman often said, “Aren't you the one who asked me to be a child who obeys parents? My dad wanted me to be a specialist before I got married. My father doesn't like men from the armed forces. Maybe Papa hopes that I marry a man of the same profession. Because the fact is not everyone sees the man in uniform is cool.”

That sentence sounds like an expulsion for Dul. But he also knew that Annisa's words also implied the pain of the girl's heart. Seemed not trying, in fact Annisa studied hard in order to complete her education with satisfactory results. Sardonic every speech sounds, but in fact Annisa is trying to convince her father that the presence of a soldier has a positive influence on her son. Dul was stunned when Annisa said that. Does his attitude of not liking conflict even make him look like a coward?

Dul never liked a scene. He's tired of the storm. But all Annisa wanted was a real effort from her. Can he make an effort without making a family storm?

The journey of Dul's love story revolved until they returned past time with an unclear status. Once when Dul came to the boarding house of Annisa and there was a man who happened to come to the girl at the same time. Annisa who he thought would be surprised in fact just relaxed. The girl straightforwardly said, “I never asked anyone to come here. I have no relationship with the guy who came over and I don't feel like I have to explain anything to you. Whether you believe or not. No need validation.”

Once also Dul and Annisa were having time to meet and spend the night of the week by sitting in a cafe instead ended in an argument. A message from a girl comes in when Dul's cell phone is in Annisa's hands.

“Letnan Abdullah how are you? How was rawon yesterday? Not delicious? If you like I can make it again.”

The short message enraged Annisa and the night of the hard-planned week became an anyep.

“I know you are a lot of fans. Many like and many girls are willing to cook or give you this - it's there. Although it is not yet clear what the status of our relationship, but we both know about the purpose of this relationship. Or maybe you forgot what we talked about?”

It took Dul almost three hours to explain to Annisa that he did not eat the rawon in question. He also did not know why a girl sent him a message about feeding him. Dul repeatedly said that the boarding of the man he occupied was always crowded people in and out to deliver food. Dul can only answer, “I don't know who is idling to give my phone number to the girl. I've never eaten rawon given anyone. I always buy.”

Although finally the commotion can be appeased, but long distance relationships are not denied it is always tiring. Everything has to be tested. Trust, time availability, honesty, consistency, health, as well as a resilient heart to trust.

Sometimes they are both just as tired. Silence does not touch each other. Until one of them misses and comes and searches. Just like that. Make up, fight, say hello, then shut up. Dul lied to his family a lot about it. He always said that his relationship with Annisa was fine.

Once his friends asked about the continuation of their relationship. The topic of conversation came about because of a piece of marriage invitation letter from Joseph. Somehow all eyes were immediately on Dul to ask when to follow.

“Where are you taking your relationship with Annisa? What makes you sure about him? Is it because of her doctorate?”

In fact, the Son's question kept ringing in his head. “What makes me sure of Annisa? What makes me believe that Annisa can be my life partner? Become PIA Ardhya Garini ..?”

Even when questioning that to himself, Dul was still hesitant about the answer.

Until one day he can convince himself that Annisa is a girl who has been transformed into a mature woman and he needs as a companion. Annisa is always strong and firm. Not crybaby even if actually Annisa crybaby, he will understand it. Annisa was born the youngest of a wealthy family.

Dul still remembers that night. On his twenty-sixth birthday, he and Annisa have become mature men and women who they feel entitled to make life choices and make decisions. He postpones the family dinner to get to Annisa first. He did not lie to his family.

Clearly telling her father and mother that she will surprise Annisa by coming suddenly to the girl's boarding house. Her mother's reaction was certainly happy. His relationship with Annisa also became an encouragement for his mother.

Although he was on a birthday, but a sudden visit made him have to bring something so that his hands are not empty. He bought a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates. That night he wanted to take Annisa to dinner at a fancy restaurant nearby. Having not stopped by the house, he came by taxi.

A bouquet for Annisa was in her arms while she pulled out a cell phone to contact the girl. The waiting tone across the phone made Dul himself feel bad.

“No way to go because he just told you it has arrived at the boarding house. What else is sleep?” Dul muttered alone until a car came and the boarding gate opened at the same time.

Dul stood sculpting as he felt the scene in front of him like deja vu. The scene he had already felt. Papa Annisa's coming but this time it's not alone. A young man came with him. At the same time, nature seems to be trying to test his physical and psychological condition. Thunder accompanied by lightning in the sky gave him a signal that the rain could be used as an excuse to leave the place.

“I told you I wanted to learn, Pa. There will not be a test in a long time. I can't go.” Despite her refusal, Annisa was well dressed.

“You don't want to go because you want to go with him, right? You don't appreciate your own parents. Papa's bringing a guest, Cha!”

Annisa also realizes the presence of Dul in the corner of the fence. “When nyampe?” The sound and look of his eyes softened on Dul. Things that make his dad more angry.

“It's almost raining, Annisa. You really do not want to accompany Papa dinner?”

Dul glanced at the rose petals that began to rain. In front of her, Annisa is being forced to go out to dinner with another young man her papa introduced. Slightly sick, but it's okay. The important thing is he already knows where Annisa's heart went.

“Go aja. I'll wait till you get home for dinner with Papa.” Dul drew a grin that calmed the heart of an Annisa.
