Dul

Dul
030. Complete Already

Maybe it was the first time Dul saw his mother's most beautiful smile. The first time in his childhood memories. Furthermore, his mother's smile was already countless.

Very crowded morning. The room was filled with people who spoke in low voices. Whispering while pointing to several places. Pointing to the long dining table, flower board, guarantee, even pointing each new guest in and looking for a chair. That morning the color of guest fashion is dominated by blue. All the people that Dul often saw with his mother, were seen present earlier that day.

Dul sat in a collection of chairs that were between Pakdhe, Budhe, and Mbah Wedok. He wears a short-sleeved batik patterned machete. I sat up neatly in white clothes. Everyone is present. Only her mother was not seen at the time. People were whispering, then all eyes were fixed on one place. Dul turned his head and saw his mother dressed almost as Bara.

That day, on the day of his mother's wedding, Dul finally understood the meaning of the union of two humans in order to live together. Dul. Bara is handsome and her mother is very beautiful. The smile on the faces of the two people he loved even made the two look more handsome and beautiful.

Speech after speech pitched official finished spoken every elder who was present at the place. Bara and his mother sat on the throne as kings and queens waiting for guests who approached and congratulated.

Dul was sitting next to Mbah wedok when a boy his age came. “Dul, why are you here? Let's go maen-maen to the outside. Mumpung mamakku was busy talking with his friends.”

Dul was a little surprised because the one who patted his shoulder from behind turned out to be Robin. Son of his mother's friend in the first boarding house. “What do you want?” ask Dul.

“Udah come with you first. Why are you here? Mamaac-mamak with all the fathers. I brought robots from home. You take one of your toys. Let's be steady if you both have.” Robin picks up a robot toy and shows it to Dul

“OK, briefly,” said Dul, darting in and back with a small robot that if folded properly will change shape to the letter D.

“Byoklah, we sit there aja.” Robin pointed to the empty ranks of the seats that were far away from her mother.

“But ... does your mother not get angry if she sits away?” As always Dul makes sure that no parents mind as they wander around there.

“Safe—aman. Just calm down you. Anyway safe. Mamakku if already said the friend could forget if he had a child. Can-can not bring me home if he sor time.” Robin chuckled while sitting in his chosen chair.

And that was the first day that Dul understood that Robin was a fun friend. Dul also did not expect that their friendship at that time would last until they were adults.

As the afternoon began, his mother and Bara left the house and sat under a white tent. He had just finished eating with a plate of rice that Mbok Jum fed him. The old woman said that she must have forgotten to eat because she was too engrossed in playing.

Sitting next to Mbok Jum and Robin, who are busy twirling the legs of his robot, Dul hears his mother's voice calling. He immediately came to his mother.

“Udah to eat?” ask mother.

“Udah. Just now,” replied Dul, wrapping his hands around his mother's shoulders and leaning back.

Actually, if you can be honest at that time, he just wanted the reception to end quickly. He was tired and sleepy. Since morning wearing neat clothes that are very afraid of dirty. He had also restrained his behavior from running too much as usual. Before the event began, his mother had a lot of warning to maintain behavior.

“Now call him what?” ask Bara. The man grabbed his hand to get closer. Dul now stands before the man who is now his father.

“Dad, Bara's Father,” replied Dul.

“OK, Ayah—Dad. Huh, right? I want to play with the kid.” Dul looked towards Robin who was staring at him expectantly to return to play.

Bara and his mother laughed. “Oke—oke, There play again.” Bara ruffled his hair.

The day was remembered as a tiring day. He must appear neat and also behave orderly. Can't pull out his toys, and can't run across the guests that most parents do. Until adulthood, Dul transformed into a figure who did not really like the crowd. He performed well in front of the family, carried out his duties, then disappeared again to wait for an event to end. His life may have been too rowdy to the point that he didn't like any noise. Even if it's a celebration party.

Late in the afternoon Mbok Jum took him inside. He asked her to take a shower and she changed into a more relaxed outfit. He lay on the bed straightening his body. Wiggling and hugging her roll tightly. At first just want to lie down for a while, but it turns out that the cool AC makes him fall asleep. And he just woke up the next day. Out of the room he was half flabbergasted. How could the entire decoration just disappear and how could all the guests who seemed like they would continue to be there disappear? He didn't even tell Robin to meet next time.

The next day, they were already sitting at the dining table as a family. Bara, his mother, he and even Mbok Jum. They all eat at one table. A table full of dishes. Also fried chicken his favorite seasoning that never absent. Dul gave a glance. Looking at the face of his mother who was very cheerful. Full of smiles and his tone of speech is very cheerful. The same as well. Cheerful and unrelenting smile.

Father …. Mother …. Now complete.

The next important memory that is so imprinted is when Bara invited him and his mother to go on vacation. Mbok said it was a honeymoon trip. Don't understand what that is. But Bara said that it was a picnic as well as an official trip. Bara mentioned a place they would visit. He did not respond because he was happy to hear about traveling by plane.

Take an airplane. A wish that used to be just a dream for Dul. And it turns out that Bara was the one who realized the dream the first time for him. His heart is happy. And on that joyous journey, Dul's memory is enlivened by Robin's presence.

Dul and Robin sit in the back row of the car that takes them to the airport. It was a very boisterous morning.

“Eh, Dul! I didn't expect to see us again. My mom said we were going to get on a plane. I was showing off to my friends at school. You're not showing off?” Robin immediately started the conversation when they were sitting next to each other in the back seat.

“I'm not in school anymore. My father said giggly. Later all of you enter SD deket house. Kan, in a moment,” replied Dul.

“You look, Dul ... who is there .. know you, right, who is in front of us?” Dul flicked his shoulders and stared at the front seat.

Dul chuckled. “Tau,” Dul replied.

“Kalo mamakku near Bu Tini, beuuuh .. getting noisy. Both times noisy. You will hear what that man has said. Little laugh. Whether it's funny,” Robin's scolding.

That time, Dul laughed even harder.

“Ah, you're a laughing stock too,” Robin's murmur.

“You are also funny, Bin,” said Dul, smiling at Robin.
