On the way back home, Dul sits with Bara in the middle seat. After delivering Mr. Wirya to his house, Bara moved to the seat next to Heru. During the trip, Bara was seen continuing to type messages on his phone. There is no other guess to whom Bara exchanged messages other than to his mother.
Heru's car may still be a minute in front of the fence, but the front door is opened immediately. Sejah appeared with Mima. The actual scenery is already commonly seen Dul every day. But that day looks different.
Impatience is not only on the package that is always waiting for. But also a story that will be delivered by two men with different versions.
As if to confirm the truth he told his father, Dul lingered on the fence waiting for his mother to welcome Bara. Dul knew that his parents loved each other very much. However, he wanted to pay attention to it a little more thoroughly.
Dul closed the fence and turned to the doorway. Seeing the happy face of his mother who saw the husband that day did not go to the office and went home early. Wrestling with one hand and the other hand grabbing the package. Her mother's gaze was immediately drawn to the writing on the packaging that indicated where her husband had stopped by. Hit her husband's arm softly because it turned out to be a new place and he had never been invited. Dul smiled thinly. His mother was happy.
The day trip will always feel very long if accompanied by a blob of feeling. That's how Dul felt that day. There are still unresolved blockages. He can't wait for the night.
“Mima ...,” call Bara, peek to sofa. “His eyes are red. Come, sleep. Father rubbed his back,” invited Bara, stretching his hands on Mima who was lying down.
Mima was standing on the couch. Staggered while welcoming Bara's hand. With one move, the little girl had crossed the back of the sofa and arrived at her father's seat. “Bobok in room, yes.” Bara kissed Mima's cheeks very hard. The instant of the kiss made Mima lose her power. The little girl immediately hugged the neck and dropped her head on Bara's shoulder.
“Sap back to sleep,” Mima said.
“Iya ...,” Bara said, walking towards Mima's room located next to Dul's room. The two rooms are located near the dining room.
Dul has been in the room since. Lying on the bed facing the wall and turning back the door. His mind is doing the questioning. Sort through the things he doesn't like and put them into the corner of memory.
Seized saw Bara's back disappear into Mima's room. Next to her the door to Dul's room was closed, but not tightly shut. There is still a line of gaps that show the light of the room lamp has been set to the sleep lamp. He opened the door and stepped in.
Just like her previous pregnancy, her favorite uniform remains a negligee and a scabbard tied to her chest. She said it was the most comfortable clothes during the marriage.
“Not sleeping apparently,” Colored approached the bed and lay behind Dul.
“Not yet. Mom, really, haven't slept?” dul asked, looking back a little. Then he looked back at the wall when he found out that Dijah was behind him.
“Mothers chat. We have not talked for a long time,” replied Sejah, gently massaging Dul's shoulder from behind.
“Bu ...,” call Dul, staring at the sky-blue colored wall that became yellowish due to the light of the lamp.
“The father looks fatter than the last one I remember,” said Dul.
Just silence. His hands gently patted Dul's shoulders.
“Bapak..Bapak also nanyain Ibu. There's a message. He said.. Now I won't bother Mom again.” Dul hugged tightly his bolsters on the chest. Intentionally not turning around. Keep staring at the wall so that the highlight does not clash with his mother.
“Still already sidelined,” replied Colonized. His hand still gently patted Dul's shoulder.
“I asked where Dad was going. Said Mr...,” Dul choked. “Say you're just walking around. Bosen in the room.” Dul felt his chest tight as he said that.
For Dul all this time, accept reality quite in silence and absorb it alone. He doesn't want to be too rowdy. Loneliness for him is a friend. Silence is a celebration. But that night he sent it. His grip on the bolster grew tighter and his nose began to clog.
“He did go sightseeing,” replied Colonized flat. He and Dul are piling up a memory and isolating it into a dark corner. Closing it tight hoping it won't come back up.
They both know and have a picture. But, both of them do not want to assert the picture with a speech that will be more incisive.
“Later someone will ask where you went. I'll say you take a walk,” Dul again. The words were more directed at himself.
“From the beginning, he was always on the streets. We do not need to worry,” firmly Colored. “Important he already knows your news,” connect Colored again.
“I don't like it, but I like it too.” Dul's cry broke and muffled a roll. His shoulders shook with short breaths which made it harder for him to hide the cries. He worried about Bara's feelings if he was sad for his father.
Colored patting Dul's back. “Quite know if your father went far. A walk. It's over, Dul. It's finish. There are things we don't all need to know. Tonight, cry if you want to cry. I will not be angry or disappointed. Remember what Akung said, we are all the same. Our hearts are full of feelings. Just cry, it's nothing, kid. Next we leave all this news.” Sejah hugged Dul's arm and placed his head on his eldest son's back.
Isak Dul was heard until he left the room. Quite clearly captured by Bara's ears leaning against the outer wall. He took a breath looking at the door handle. Slowly, he closed the door.
“Great sleep, yes Dul ...” Bara stepped away from the door. Soon he will wake up Dijah who will surely fall asleep next to Dul. Dul bed will not be enough to be colonized who often exchange sleeping positions.
