The sign of the holiday ended was Dul who had packed all his luggage succinctly in a backpack and his two sisters sat on the bed waiting for him to do so. His departure that time was something different. All residents will come to the airport with their own tentengan. Until that morning when the sky was still dark, everyone was busy to and fro and rarely spoke. Because busy cleaning each one.
Like Bara's previous promise that Mbok Jum will be delivered until they arrive at his son's house in Kalimantan. Several large bags have been seen lying on the porch. Dul just picked up the last bag containing Mbok Jum's belongings. He sat on the sofa in the living room and observed the activity he soon missed. That is, Mbok Jum who is busy preparing the needs of Mima or Ibrahim.
Mbok Jum was pacing around to take care of something that was actually done. The old woman was busy with a pair of Ibrahim's shoes and socks. Mbok Jum then busy with comb and tie Mima's hair out of nowhere.
Everyone at home is aware that Mbok Jum is actually just stalling his departure time.
Until finally Dul catches Mbok Jum's arm and invites the old woman to sit on the terrace.
"Why is it busy? All are done Mother and Father, Mbok. Mending Mbok sat here first until Dad came out of all the bags." Dul stands in his uniform in front of Mbok Jum.
Mbok Jum that morning wore a brown canal shirt and a matching head covering that closed up to both ears. He linked his hands in his lap with a face that did not show pleasure to meet his son in the next few hours.
"Mbok was sad to leave Mom, especially Ibra. Actually heavy ... but Mbok does not want, if Mbok is sick even bother the family here."
"Actually not nerepotin, Mbok. The name of the family is sick, whoever it is must be treated. Don't think rich. I love you so much, Mbok."
"Mbok tau, Mas Dul. Mas Dul family love Mbok. But ... if Mbok has been asked by Mbok's children to spend old age with them .. that means they intend to pay his services as a child to Mbok. Now Mbok's the only parent they have left."
Dul did not answer. He nodded in understanding with what Mbok Jum said. In his heart he can also make sure that he is the son of Mbok Jum, he must have picked up his mother early and forced his mother to come along. I can't imagine what it's like to be away from a mother.
Then ... a pair of heavy footsteps who stepped on the floor with thick soled shoes came from inside the house approaching them.
"Where? Ready to go, Mommy?"
Mbok jum. Realizing that a gallant man who had brought her into the house a dozen years ago stood before her. That man is no longer young. Although the look of his friendly and friendly eyes was still the same, the sort could not cover up his age.
For Mbok Jum, Bara's attitude remains the same for him even though dozens of years have passed. Bara remains as friendly as he was when he picked her up from a social parlour for the sake of a woman he loved.
For Mbok Jum, Bara is the most sensitive man he has ever known. Not even her own husband never happened like Bara. And that upbringing .. he saw had grown on a young man in uniform who had been standing massaging his shoulders.
"Mbok is ready" said Mbok Jum.
The sound of hurried footsteps followed out of the house. Ibra appeared and stabbed himself in the lap of Mbok Jum.
"No more powder?" mbok Jum asked, rubbing Ibra's face with his wrinkled hands.
Ibra. "I'm already big, don't want to use white powder again. I'll be like a girl."
Debate of Sejah and Ibra about the return of Mbok Jum has been going on for days. The day Ibra was seen accepting, the next day the boy refused and came back crying hugging Mbok Jum. Those days were heavy. The heavier, because Mbok Jum hugs and comforts Ibra which is even heavier to take it off.
After almost a week, Ibra was seen to have accepted even though his face was always sad and the boy often ran and hugged Mbok Jum suddenly.
Bara laughs. "Where's mom?" ask Abraham. The boy was still writhing on Mbok Jum's lap.
"Mom is done, soon to come out" replied Ibrahim.
That is exactly what Ibrahim said. Soon after, Colonized and Mima left the house together.
"Let's go," take Mima.
"Don't touch the skin of a newly finished girl's face and skin" Mima said quickly.
"Great style. It's not like that, deh," grumbled Dul.
"Mbak Nisa is not angry that her face is touched, because it is already so. Yeah, right ...? Dul's already here, isn't it ...?"
In order to save time, Bara again has to catch Mima and lock the girl in his circle of hands. "Come, Mas Dul lift the bags first," pinta Bara.
"Let go, yeah," said Mima, rebelling.
"Mima's voice heard all the way to Budhe Tini's house. Later Budhe Tini happy because it managed to have students."
Ibrahim laughed happily as he saw Mima who used to clash with him now locked helplessly in their father's arms. If their father hadn't done that, Mima would have flown in and stabbed Dul in the back.
If usually Dul left his family, that time the plane he was riding departed later.
That day, I don't know which one Dul wants to hold for longer. Mbok Jum who did not release his hand or the Sejah who wrestled his arm.
Finally, in front of the departure gate, Dul embraced Dijah and Mbok Jum along with Ibrahim in between. Bara and Mima were not far from them.
"Everything Mas Dul when it is finished school must visit Mbok Jum. Mbok kepengin see Mas Dul wearing army uniform that is blue." Mbok Jum sobbed in between hugs.
As usual, Sejah chose silence if his heart was too sad to say something.
"Yes .. I must have seen Mbok Jum." Dul rubbed skinny shoulder Mbok Jum.
"Don't forget to take Neng Nisa," Mbok Jum said.
Dul chuckled, patting softly Mbok Jum's back. "I'll take Nisa with me" promised Dul.
Bara approached them. "Yuk, Mock. Called into the waiting room."
Dul releases his arms at Dijah and Mbok Jum.
"Dul, Father and Mother leave first. You are fine, take care of your health and obey the campus rules. Especially now...."
"Udah has a girlfriend" Mima cut.
"More than ever now it's third year. That's the follow-up," said Bara, pinching Mima's cheek.
Dul chuckles to see Mima rubbing her cheek that was not to be touched. "Yes, Dad. Dad was careful too. Greetings to the family Mbok Jum."
Before stepping his feet away, Mbok Jum took the time to hug Dul once again.
The breakup of that day became a memory they remembered two years later.
