Dul

Dul
151. Promise Cancellation

On the plane, Annisa was sitting by the window. In one row of seats that he and Mima alone. The chair next to the hallway was empty, no one. While Bara, Sejah and Ibra sat in a row opposite them. That morning he and Mima didn't say much. Mima that are usually cherry blossoms are more silent. It actually fits perfectly. He himself did not want to tell much. Going to Jogja becomes an awkward obligation.

His status now is not Dul's lover. He and the figure of the man of the rank of Second Lieutenant Airmen were in a suspended status. He was still angry and upset with Dul. But he also did not want to miss another important moment in the man's life. If he had previously attended the graduation ceremony at AAU, this time he would not have missed it. Not only because he wanted to speak with Dul, he was also curious about what achievements the man was inscribed at this time.

In Jogja, Annisa gets the same room as Mima. The day before Dul's graduation at the Flying School they used to rest.

“Mbak, Dad took a meal to a restaurant. Another hour we are asked to go down,” order Mima while knocking on the bathroom door. Annisa screamed out from the inside.

Annisa initially thought Dul would be present at dinner as a surprise for her, in fact she had to be disappointed because of her own expectations. Obviously everyone is trying to relax. Bara jokes with Ibra and always involves Annisa and Mima. While Dijah the mother is busy ordering the menu for all members of his family. Including Annisa. The difference is, Dijah still asks Annisa's tastes that may change in the time they do not meet.

“Besok who waned his Dul, I'll just yes, Mas.” Sejah suddenly opened a conversation about Dul. Annisa looked over.

“Iya. That enough? All for Mom. That's right, isn't it, Nisa?” Bara laughed crisply looking at Annisa.

Annisa laughed. Throw a sad and haru look at a pair of compact parents giving the most complete and best affection for their children.

“I just asked for a masangin wing, Mas. Not everything. Dul is adult. Make a shame,” said Dijah, patting Bara's arm accompanied by a glance at Annisa.

With such a warm and cheerful atmosphere it should be the next day the wing embedding ceremony became a happy day. Moreover, coupled with the presence of Annisa which is actually a Bara and Colonized gift for Dul.

In reality, Dul was indeed surprised. But the shock was followed by an uneasy atmosphere that crept quickly. The First Officer's eyes looked as if he was unable to stay too long at Annisa.

“The Best Fixed Wing?” Bara turned his back and hugged Dijah who did not really understand the situation. “Dul became the best Fixed Wing aviator in his force, Jah. Fixed Wing is a combat major. Dul is amazing!” Screeches are heard into the ears of all family members. Including Annisa who had been looking at Dul with a faint smile.

“Congratulations yes, Mas. It's always cool!” Mima took Ibra and brought her younger brother to embrace Dul.

Sejah was only able to wipe away the tears that were difficult to dispel even though he was actually worried that the beautiful look he got from the salon near the hotel could decay even before Dul had time to praise him. In the novelty, Annisa walks casually holding Dijah to his eldest son.

“Congratulations, Mas Abdullah,” Annisa said in a choked voice. His voice only reached the throat. He lowered his head with one hand still coiled in his arm.

After making sure that her tears would not come out, Annisa looked up and reached out to Dul. “Congratulations, Abdullah,” reset Annisa once again.

“Truly surprise,” said Dul, instantly returned Annisa's handshake and held it long enough.

“Mother wants to install wing. Mum is a masang,” bright Annisa. Trying to shift Dul's gaze to something more important at that time. Mother who was bottle-faced with tissue and was preparing to pin the wing on her child's light blue clothes.

“Mas Dul,” says Colored, choked.

“Iya, Ma'am,” Dul said.

“Mas Dul is getting dashing yes, Nisa.” He wiped his tears. It took Annisa a moment to make sure the girl's reaction was still as she expected. In fact, Annisa was looking down. As if avoiding to look directly at Dul.

In the tempest of happiness, depression approached Dijah. Her son's relationship isn't okay. Annisa's willingness to come to Jogja may just be a form of courtesy of the girl to them.

Colored scooping Dul's body in an embrace. Tears of pride, days and sorrow for what happened in the relationship her son broke into one. “Mother is happy, Mas. Proud mom. Sorry, I just found out now that Mas and Nisa aren't together anymore. I'm sorry if you took Annisa here. I do not know whether Mas Dul or Nisa who is not pleased with this meeting.” He whispered while sobbing.

“I and Nisa are fine, Mom,” said Dul, tightened his embrace on the body of Sejah.

“Do not lie,” said Sejah, still a hiccup. He then let go of the embrace. With the remaining tear point, Sejah pinned the airman's wing on his son's left chest.

“Congratulations Mas Dul,” says Bara, touching wing aviator Dul. “The Officer's rank is already on the shoulders, the Air Force TNI Airmen brevet is embedded in the chest of Letda Airman Abdullah Putra Satyadarma. After that there must be another hope to be achieved.” Bara said it very loudly. His hands while tidying up the front of the blue uniform Dul was wearing.

“Still, Dad,” Welcome Dul.

“Best students. Always ...,” Annisa said with sincere eyes.

“Still. Thank you for coming here,” said Dul before Mima pulled a photographer near them.

“We are photos now. Can, huh? It's hot.” Mima squinted.

“Mas Dul more and more beautiful days. I'm getting more and more days not knowing what my ideals.” Ibra hugged Dul and drowned her face in her brother's chest.

“Later if it is big would know what it wants to be,” replied Dul, rubbing his sister's back.

“Mas when do you have aspirations to be a soldier?” Ibra still looked up at Dul.

“Mas time is still SD.” Dul lifts Ibra into his trunk.

“I just finished SD. I haven't seen you yet.” Ibra shook her head sadly as she wrapped her hands around Dul's neck.

“Come, photo! Finish our photos eat!” shouting Mima.

All who heard simultaneously saw the photographer who had started giving directions. Initially the photo was just a photo of Dul himself flanked by both parents. Then following the family photo plus Annisa. Then, in the last quote Mima forced Dul and Annisa to take a photo of the two. Although stiff and musical face like a photograph, the pair of ex-lovers finally have a photo together as well.

“Don't pout. If so get to the guarantee, what is not regretful if today's photo is ugly?” Mima whispered in the middle of Dul and Annisa who were still standing stiff.

Finished taking pictures, when Mima was busy showing the results of his shots at Bara and Colonized, Dul slightly shifted to near Annisa.

“Still come,” whispered Dul.

“Iya. No problem. I'm happy too,” Annisa replied in a whisper.

“Where? Mmmm ... should be another year, right?” Dul is very confident that Annisa understands what he means.

Annisa shakes. “Sorry. Cannot. Not everything can go like our plan.” Annisa smiled wryly.

Dul's trouble swallowing. The fact that afternoon was very slapping. It should be, another year he can realize the promise to propose to Annisa as a wife. But the woman's wry smile confirmed that her apology two years ago was never accepted.
