Dul

Dul
124. Misspeaking

The whole night after meeting Annisa, Dul had a hard time closing his eyes. Though his body was tired, but drowsiness did not stop. The years of waiting have not been in vain. Although they have not expressed their taste, at least that night their feelings are still the same.

It felt like Dul had changed his body in bed dozens of times. Face the door, then turn your back to face the wall. In his hand was a cell phone that he had been holding. Shortly after she finished her bath, Annisa sent her a message.

‘Abdullah has arrived home?’

The message is simple but makes Dul's heart flowery. His stomach was touching hundreds of butterflies dancing salsa. It didn't take long for him to reply.

‘Udah to home. Just finished the shower. Annisa's sleeping now. There are no classes tomorrow, right? I picked up before lunch, yes.’

The thing that made her even more unable to sleep was Annisa's short answer. Only ‘iya’ but has made his heart turn upside down. He fell asleep with the messaging app still open on his phone.

And apparently, when Dul thought that he had slept for hours, he woke up when the sky was still dark. Just slept for three hours. And carried away his habit while in the dorm, he was neat at seven in the morning.

“What do you want, anyway? Pacing back and forth at ngak ngapain.” Sejah patted Dul's arm back across the kitchen.

“Mau satisfied see Mbok Jum before going to Kalimantan. I'll miss Mbok Jum later.” Dul stood behind Mbok Jum and wrapped his hands around the skinny body of the old woman.

Mbok Jum stopped stirring the fried rice to pat Dul on the hand. “Mbok must also miss Mas Dul. Seventeen years see Mas Dul to be rich now. Mbok Jum should see Mas Dul to become a fighter pilot.” Mbok Jum's voice is nearest.

Dul lowered his head and placed his chin on Mbok Jum's shoulder. “Later I will visit Mbok Jum to Kalimantan. The important thing .. Mbok Jum healthy. Wait for us all.”

I stood looking at that sight. Back to remember that their togetherness with Mbok Jum is soon. Bara had already said that they would all leave after Dul returned to the dormitory.

“Now Mas Dul breakfast. Must eat a lot of Mbok cuisine. It's Mima and Ibra fried rice. This one is for Mas Dul and Mom's Dad. Dikasih cabe.” Mbok Jum put down a bowl of rice that he just lifted from the frying pan. “Let Ibra let Mbok eat his feed.” Mbok Jum's voice was very slow when he said that. He wiped the corner of his watery eyes.

“Siang later ... what's the lunch menu, Mom?” Dul pulled out a chair and sat down scooping the rice.

“Why? Want to masakin something? What else to eat?” He sat down next to Dul.

“Kira ... later in the day Dad will not invite us to go or not?”

“What's really why? Asked from earlier the answer was muter-muter. You want to go?” Because the answer from Dul did not come out, Sejah took a plate and ate next to his son.

“Daddy again what?” ask Dul.

“Daddy shower. Mima took a shower, Ibra hasn't woken up. That Mbok Jum just went into the room. In this dining room there are only the two of us. Mas Dul would like to say what, son?” Colored persuaded, but did not look at Dul's face. Keep trying to pretend to be busy so that Dul does not feel intervened. This time he flipped an omelet on his plate. Waiting patiently Dul will ask him to talk about Annisa.

“Mmmm .. Bu.”

“Hmm? Mbok Jum fried rice today is very good, yes …. What because Mas Dul just came home so Mbok Jum cook as good as this.” Sejah glanced at Dul who was pouring water into his glass.

“Yesterday the night after meeting Robin, Son and Joseph, I met Annisa. Mmm ... I remember Annisa, right?” dul asked, waiting for Dijah to turn to him.

Sejah turned Dul to show his expression. “Remember. Which we're taking to the airport, right? The pretty? Her hair is long, her skin is white, for the size of girls, including tall, slim..”.

“Mother's response is sharp. Ask Dad if you don't believe.”

“What is the color of Annisa bag while at the airport?”

“Mmmm ... black?”

Dul turned back around his seat and continued to finish the fried rice. “That was the color of the bag yesterday. Her bag to the airport used to be blue.”

“Oh, black color bag yesterday, huh? Mima kanya soon finished bathing. I want to prepare breakfast first.” Get up from the chair. However, his arm captured Dul. He stopped his steps and turned around.

“Bu, I can bring Nisa lunch here later? Papa Annisa is married again and lives with her new family. Nisa is now a boarding child and studied at UI medicine. In the fifth semester, I'm just as rich. Is it okay if Nisa comes and us..”.

“Bby, Mas. Bring Nisa here. Mom's gonna cook good. Usually the child will eat it will buy it continuously. Frequently eat instant noodles. I hope Annisa doesn't, yes. Kasian.”

Bara went into the dining room and looked at the face of the mother and child alternately.

“Just if Mas Dul wants to bring Nisa here, I'm nothing. Mother is easy to fall flat with the child kos. There used to be ngaku kos children and always come for food.” He glanced at Bara while standing up to prepare tea.

“Daddy felt again pomongin,” said Bara, pulling the usual seat in his seat. Seeing the look on the faces of Dijah and Dul, he could guess that the talk of the mother and child had reached the topic of Anmisa. “Did Dad there miss something?”

“Let me know Daddy, yes. I'm going to the room. Want a nelfon,” said Dul, massaging Bara's shoulders for a while then whistling into the room.

“Where? Dul told you a story? Come, here sit first.” He pulled a chair near him.

“Mas, I had a wrong talk earlier. Kaya Dul knows that last night we picked him up.” Colored grimacing.

The uniform Dul wore was very neat. Wrapped tightly around her body and tucked neatly into her pants. In his hand was a hat he had just opened a moment ago. Her hair has been tidied up. But he felt it still took him a few minutes to catch his breath and heartbeat before calling Annisa and telling her he had arrived outside the fence.

“Halo? I'm already outside,” Dul said on the phone. He clenched his mouth and stood holding his hands together behind his body. Before long, the gate swung open.

“Hai,” greet Annisa.

Dul forgot to answer the greeting because he was amazed by the appearance of Annisa that afternoon. Only jeans and a white t-shirt were tucked into the pants. A sling bag and a pair of white sneakers. Annisa looks very different from what she saw last night. The ends of the girl's hair were formed hanging curls. Her lips were shiny with a pink lip gloss.

“Hai ..?” Annisa repeated the greeting.

Dul chuckled. “Hai …. Excuse me. Annisa very beautiful.” Dul closed his mouth again.
