07: INDRA, MILLER, AND MISHA

INDRA, MILLER, AND MISHA

When Indra was 13 years old since Luzin disappeared he survived alone.

When hungry he always hunts himself in the middle of the desert accompanied by the hot sun or moon and dim stars, before Indra still often eat meat that is common. Luzin always had delicious meat out of nowhere he got it. However, since the disappearance of Luzin, Indra only cooked desert lizards or vultures, fortunately Indra was not picky about food.

One day after finishing hunting some lizards, Indra felt a little bored and decided to take a nap. Without realizing the sun had set, Indra awoke as the dim moonlight gushed across the sky.

What a quiet atmosphere, the desert only has cactus and some rocks scattered. Indra went to find a place to cook her lizard. He walked down a path. There was no light on the road at all, only the dim light of the moon illuminated the path a little.

After a long time down that road, opposite him was a building. The building stood alone in the middle of the desert, there were no lanterns outside. However, light came out from inside the building.

Curious Indra tried to look around the building. After looking at the building up close he finally found out that it was a small restaurant. He peered through the window, there Indra saw two people who seemed to be his age were enjoying a dish, with them there seemed to be a couple. Seeing that Indra's stomach became more hungry. Indra immediately left. However, just a step Indra walked the door of the restaurant was open.

"Are you lost, son?" Ask the woman with a friendly smile.

The woman was wearing a white dress and wearing an apron, it seemed like the woman was a chef.

"No, I'm not lost" replied Indra.

"Come in, we have more dishes" the woman replied with a friendly smile.

The woman held Indra's hand and led him inside.

"What's your name, son?" The woman asked again.

"Indra" he replied.

"Alright Indra, just enjoy these dishes as much as you can" said the woman.

"No need to be shy, eat with Miller and Misha" said a man who seemed to be the husband of the woman.

"Oh yeah, I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Bella and this is my husband Reisth. You two introduce yourself as well" said the woman again.

"I'm Miller, nice to meet you Indra" said Miller, the boy Indra had seen from the window.

"You can call me Misha, greetings know Indra" said Misha, she is also one of the people Indra saw at the window.

Indra then tried the dish. The dish was in the form of mushroom soup after trying a mouthful, Indra could not stop eating it. It must be because for several months he only ate desert lizards.

"Where do you live, Indra?" Bella asked

"I don't have a home" Indra replied.

The woman put on a confused face as if she did not understand.

"2 years ago, there was a village whose inhabitants had been slaughtered right? I'm the only survivor" Indra said.

They were all shocked and could not believe hearing Indra's words. However, he still enjoyed his meal as if the incident had never happened to him.

"Indra, can you use magic?" Bella asked again.

"A little bit" Indra replied while putting an empty bowl.

"You know? We are also looking for workers or rather guards. Of course if you're interested then you can sleep, eat, and stay at this restaurant. We'll pay you too" Reisth said.

"That sounds good, if you don't mind I can do it" Indra replied.

"Then try to beat Miller, he's strong enough if you can then I'll definitely calm down" Reisth continued.

"Now too?" Ask Indra.

"If you want to do it now then you'll fight Miller. However, if you want to do it tomorrow you will fight Misha" Reisth replied.

"I don't really understand, but fine" said Indra to go out and prepare.

"Go, Miller" Reisth said.

"Why should I?" Miller complained.

"Why are you so, Reisth?" Bella asked her husband.

"Just calm down, if he loses I will still accept, I just need some entertainment before going to bed, haha" Reisth replied.

Indra and Miller are ready.

"Eh? Hold still. What kind of magic does Indra master?" Ask Misha.

"Eh? Right too, I forgot to ask" Bella replied.

"Prepare Indra!" Miller was suddenly excited after complaining lazily.

A dark aura came out from Miller, a considerable magic. Seeing Miller's dark magic, Indra assumes that Misha's magic is light magic.

"Thank God I'm not doing this tomorrow" Indra said.

"Why?" Miller asked confusedly.

"Because it seems like it will be difficult for me to fight against the light"

Slowly the black clouds covered the sky and the moon.

"The moonlight is now gone, my magic is already at the maximum level. I won't hold back, Indra" Miller immediately issued his attack in the form of a black shadow with an arrow-like shape.

"You are" Indra replied.

Just before the attack hit Indra, a lightning bolt struck. The attack disappeared due to being hit by the light from Indra's lightning.

Indra was caught off guard and at that time Miller took advantage of the opportunity to lung at him and landed a fist on Indra's face. However, Indra managed to duck and managed to hit Miller's chin with his fist.

Miller bounced back, Miller once again threw his magic and this time much stronger, he also came forward to attack. Indra used his lightning to eliminate the attack. However, it seems that the light is unable to eliminate Miller's magic. As a result the attack was successful hit Indra coupled with a punch in the face made Indra slammed and hit a rock.

"Damn it, I underestimated the magic too much" Indra said as she stood up.

Miller tried to do the same. However, it will not hit Indra a second time. This time Indra used his lightning to directly strike Miller, Indra immediately advanced to land his punch and the punch hit Miller's face as if it were Indra's retaliation.

Their fight continued until just after midnight. The two of them stood facing each other at a considerable distance. After the fight for that long magic after magic, punch after punch. None of them were injured, not scratched.

"Why don't you start to get serious?" Miller asked Indra.

"What about yourself?" Indra asked back.

"Well, enough kids!" Bella exclaimed from a distance while waving her hands.

The fight ended in a draw, though none of them got serious in that fight. After the fight, Indra has officially become the security of the restaurant.

After that Miller and Misha were seen cleaning some tables and sliding them aside.

"Sorry Indra, we don't have more beds. For a while you could sleep with Miller in his bed" Bella said.

Miller and Misha came out with a folding mattress. That mattress is a one-man mattress. However, it is enough for two people if forced.

"I'll just sleep on the floor, I'm not used to sleeping on the bed" Indra said.

"You sure? The floor is cold at night" Miller said.

"It's okay that I also sleep outside a lot" Indra replied.

They keep forcing Indra to sleep on the bed. Finally Indra gave up. However, after all fell asleep, he woke up and slept on the floor of the restaurant.

As the sun began to rise, Bella was already awake and preparing to open. He sees Indra sleeping and wakes him up.

"Hey, Indra! Why are you even sleeping on the floor? Didn't I tell you to sleep in bed with Miller? You can get sick" Bella said scolding Indra.

"Huh? Ah... My body is moving on its own" Indra replied slowly as she yawned.

"Your reasoning is very unreasonable" Bella said again.

Bella then wakes Miller and Misha. After waking up, the two of them immediately made their beds and helped Bella to open the restaurant. Miller helped prepare the kitchen and Misha helped arrange the drinks on the shelf.

"Indra, can you help clean the front yard?" Bella asked.

"Of course!" answer Indra.

Indra went out with a broom. He then swept the courtyard filled with sand. At first Indra was confused, because he was told to sweep the sand until he saw a wooden board under the sand. Apparently there was a floor down there, Indra looked next to the restaurant and he saw many there were several tables and chairs there.

Finally Indra understood why there was a floor in front of the restaurant. Indra then arranged the chairs and tables next to the restaurant to the floor she had just swept.

"Angel Eyes Saloons? So that's the name of this restaurant." Indra said after seeing the emblem of the restaurant.

"It's dangerous! Reisth we're in danger!" Bella exclaimed from the kitchen and ran forward.

"What's Bella?" Ask Reisth.

"We're out of stock, I forgot to tell you yesterday" Bella replied.

"Yeah, I thought there was something. Miller, Misha, Indra. The three of you go to the city and buy us some meat stock" Reisth told the three children.

"Again?" Miller complained.

"To town? I can't wait to wait!" Misha.

"I'll just come along" Indra said.

After that the three of them went to the city of Houstin with a cart.

"Indra, have you been to town before?" Misha asked.

"That's a stupid question, is there anyone who has never been to the city? Your question doesn't make sense" Miller said.

"No, I've never been to town. What's the place like?" Indra asked back.

"Huh? You really haven't been to town? That's weird" Miller said.

"So you've never been to town? You'll like it there is a nice place" Misha replied with a smile.

"I don't think the place is that much fun" Miller interrupted Misha's words.

"That's because you suck at enjoying things" Misha said.

"Your statements don't make me imagine the place" Indra said.

The sun started to rise higher, two of the three boys were a little sorry to go to the city

"You're a grim person, Indra. I've never even seen you smile" Miller told Indra.

"Well, now look who's the dumbest? We just met Indra last night, it's only natural that she hasn't gotten used to it" Misha interrupted.

"Ah, not really" Indra replied.

"By the way today was very hot, it felt like I could melt" Misha complained.

"Yes, you're right. Plus we have to save water until we get to the city. Wait isn't your magic immune to situations like this?" Miller asked Misha.

"I thought you were such a fool, you couldn't even tell the difference between light and heat. My magic is that light magic is very different from fire or the like" Misha replied annoyedly.

"You're overheated? You should have just said it from earlier" said Indra.

Indra used her magic, the black clouds slowly covered the sky thus blocking the scorching sunlight. Miller and Misha were at a loss for words after seeing her.

"Hey, if you could do something like that why didn't you do it earlier?" Misha asked regretfully.

"That's right! I've been desperately holding this heat and it turns out you can do something like that without telling us?" Miller was no less upset.

"Eh? Excuse me. I thought you didn't need it" replied Indra.

The three of them finally reached a city called Houstin. A city not so big. However, quite crowded. Many people passed by, merchants everywhere, not infrequently also several horse carriages passed by. It was a new sight for Indra, never had he seen that many people in his life.

Indra, Miller, and Misha decide to split up in search of items ordered by Reisth and Bella. Indra is looking for additional drinks, Miller is looking for meat, and Misha is looking for vegetables to add to the stock of vegetables. Initially Miller and Misha were less sure because Indra was first in town. However, Indra managed to convince them.

On that day, the three children met their future.

Indra went to the suburban area because he was a little lost. There he found a building in front of him attached a large board hanging that read "Bounty Store" he thought it was a store that sold drinks. However, after he entered there was nothing but a middle-aged man and a pile of papers.

"You're lost?" The man asked.

"It seems. yes" replied Indra.

"What is this place? Everything is full of paper" Indra continued.

"This is the Bounty Store, here is the place to take on the task of capturing or killing a fugitive or providing services. You'll also get a wage every time you do it" the man replied.

"That sounds interesting! How do I join?" Indra asked.

"First of all you have to be over 15 years old and unfortunately you look too young, come back later. Maybe 3 years from now" replied the man.

Indra is very interested in becoming a Bounty Hunter because he wants to hunt down criminals without becoming a Sheriff. His father once said that Sheriffs and Soldiers were government slaves. Because of his father's words, Indra was never interested in becoming a Sheriff.

On the other side of the city. Misha was walking in the market looking for vegetables. But he did not buy it directly. Misha compares all kinds of vegetables from store to store looking for the best. Suddenly many people shouted and opened the way.

"The Heroes have reached our city!!!" That is the sound of their screams.

There were five people who looked like witches, they were a group of magicians from the wizard Guild who were given the title of heroes. The people said they were Heroes who defeated a dragon that terrorized a southern city and now the heroes are staying in Houstin.

Misha saw those people really respect the Heroes. Finally he understood, if he wanted his figure to be respected and admired by many people he had to be someone great. From then on, Misha decided to become a member of the wizard Guild.

Elsewhere, Miller was standing in front of the Sheriff's office.

"Someday this place will definitely be my place of work!" Miller stared at the building.

Unlike Indra and Misha, Miller has decided to become a Sheriff since he was a child. Miller then went to the butcher shop.

After several hours of shopping, the three of them finally regrouped and prepared to go home with their groceries.

"I'm impressed that you're not lost, Indra" Miller said as he packed things into the cart.

"To be honest .. I was a little lost, luckily I managed to remember the way back" Indra replied while helping Miller.

Since then, for three years Indra lived at Angel Eyes Saloon. Until finally after three years, the three people decided to part ways in a silly way.

It was the beginning of the year, where the three of them would turn 16 later and finally be able to find work. They had no intention of going to the city together. And that's why Miller had such a ridiculous idea.

"That's a very stupid way, Miller" said Misha upset.

"No-no, this is a very interesting way. I'm sure Indra agrees" Miller replied.

"Come ... Why not Misha? That sounds interesting!" Indra agreed.

"Indra's? You really agree? Alright I'll budge" Misha replied.

The three of them decided to leave Angel Eyes in Miller's ridiculous manner. Miller's idea was to draw numbers. There are three numbers that each of them must take one, namely 3, 6, and 9. The number 3 will go in the three months of the year, the number 6 will go in the six months, and the number 9 goes the 9 months. It was the most ridiculous idea Miller had ever thought of.

"I'll start first" Indra said.

Indra took the folded paper. He opened it and got the number 9.

"Sial" said Indra.

"Hahaha, it's okay Indra. After you're out in town in nine months, you'll hear my name everywhere" Miller laughed.

"It looks like you're out of luck today, Indra" Misha said with a mocking smile.

Miller took a second turn and got the number 3.

"Well! I'm really lucky today!" Miller.

"Then I got the number six, right? It's not so bad" Misha said.

Nine months later, it was finally Indra's turn to arrive. Indra prepared all his things and prepared to leave. Indra wore a brown leather jacket, long blue pants, and a deep red scarf around her neck.

"It looks like this place will feel lonely" said Bella.

"Well how else? Those kids should also have a purpose for their lives, Bella" Reisth replied.

"Relise, Bella. Thank you for taking care of me for three years" Indra said smiling at the door preparing to leave.

"It's rare to see you smile like that, Indra. You seem to have changed a little bit from three years ago" Bella said.

"Indra, I have a gift for you. I was a little scared to see you be the last so I'll give you this hat, there was once a wandering merchant who gave me this hat. I thought this would suit you" Reisth said as he threw the cowboy hat at Indra.

"Cowboy hat? Thank you" said Indra.

Indra wore it and Indra's appearance was completely similar to that of a cowboy. The brown round hat really suited his clothes.

From then on, The "Lightning From the Wild West" began its journey.
