04: A PAST THAT WANTS TO BE FORGOTTEN

THE PAST THAT YOU WANT TO FORGET

Indra lay on the bed of the inn room, the mattress felt comfortable for him. Indra never went to sleep, suddenly the memories of the past that he wanted to always forget were left in his mind.

Seven years ago, when Indra was 11 years old he was a child full of joy.

His father and mother always pamper him, Little Indra also loves his Father and Mother. However, that all changed when a disaster befell him and his family.

Because Indra's father was a soldier in the western kingdom. One day, due to the clash between the Western Kingdom and the Northern Kingdom. Indra's father and many other soldiers from Indra village had to go to participate in the impending war. Therefore, Indra's father always taught his son to live freely and not be a government slave like his father.

Three days later, bad news came to Indra village. The soldiers were killed in battle, none of them still alive.

All the villagers were very sad about it, not least Indra and his mother.

For days her mother kept herself locked up in the room, she just came out to feed Indra. From that moment on Indra understood that he was living in a new world.

The news also circulated to the ears of the bandits. It was a golden opportunity for them. Villages without guards, where else could they get a better source of treasures?

At night, just when people are off guard and sound asleep. The bandits stormed the village, not only did they snatch their property and play tricks on the women in the village. The citizens also they exterminated so that there were no reinforcements from the government.

The atmosphere of the night was very chaotic, people were running around, and corpses were strewn across the street.

That night Indra's mother woke up and saw the riots that occurred in the village, she immediately ran to Indra's room and told Indra to hide under the bed. However, Ibu Indra had not been able to catch up with Indra in hiding, the bandits had entered Indra's house. Indra's mother tried hard so that the bandits did not realize the presence of Indra who was hiding. Indra saw firsthand how his mother was being played by the bandits, Indra could only quietly cry under the cover of the place. Until finally the bandits took his mother's life. Indra who could not bear to see him finally shouted furiously at the bandits. The people were initially surprised to see the appearance of Indra from under the bed. However, after seeing Indra as a boy, their fear disappeared.

Little Indra felt something strange about her, slowly Indra's body was enveloped by lightning. His body moved by itself, he opened his palm and pointed it at the bandits. Seeing that the fear of the bandits came back. However, they had not yet raised their legs, Indra's lightning bolted rapidly towards them. The lightning struck them. Without knowing what happened, Indra fell unconscious. Moments later Indra wakes up in front of her mother's cold corpse. The village was being devoured by flames, the bandits were probably trying to eliminate any evidence of their existence. Indra was just sitting next to her mother's corpse, crying out loud.

Most of the village had been devoured by fire, until out of nowhere a man appeared, the man had long white hair, pale white skin, and all white clothes.

"I don't know why the stars seem to tell me to go to this place" the man said after looking around him.

"Hmm? I feel like there's still life here" said the man again.

The man then stepped towards Indra's house which had almost collapsed eaten by fire.

"Thank God there are still people alive here" said the man looking at Indra with a friendly.

"Who are you? Stay away from me!" Shouted Indra.

"Just relax, I'm not your enemy" replied the man.

Indra stepped back to look at the person. His hands were trembling in fear, he wanted to do the same as before. But he doesn't know how.

"Once again, I'm not your enemy, son" The man then sighed.

"Yeah, of course you don't trust easily" he said again.

The person then flicked his finger, instantly a torrential rain fell from the sky extinguishing the still blazing flames.

"Who are you?" Ask Indra.

"I? I have many names. Moon God, Hero, Demon Killer. However, you can call me Luzin, son" Luzin replied.

"Why, the stars seem to tell me to come here" Luzin continued.

Luzin retracted his finger. The rain stopped almost at the same time as the snap of the finger.

"What do you want from me?" Ask Indra again.

"I don't know, son. However, the stars in the sky told me to go here" Luzin replied.

"Star? I saw nothing in the sky but two months there" Indra said.

Luzin smiled, he raised his hand and pointed his palm up. A bright red magic circle emerged from his hand. A similar magic circle also appeared behind him, before long the sky was filled with stars appearing out of nowhere, as if Luzin was making the stars himself.

Indra sat down in fear seeing that.

"You see him now, son?" Ask Luzin.

Indra was silent while frightened. Lightning began to emerge from his body, just like when Indra faced the bandits earlier.

Luzin watched Indra as if interested.

Luzin then removed his magic circle and instantly the stars in the sky also slowly faded and disappeared.

"What did you just do?" Indra asked with a trembling voice as she was still frightened.

"I am merely bringing all the stars closer together, so that the light may be brighter and visible from here. That's all" Luzin explained.

"Now I understand why the stars are directing me here. You are an interesting person, son" Luzin said again.

"What's your name, son?" Ask Luzin again.

"Follow me, Indra. I won't be home for some time, therefore I will be your magic teacher. I'm sure that's what the stars want me to do" Luzin said.

Since then, for three months Indra followed Luzin and studied with him. Luzin is a great teacher, as is Indra a great student. Luzin taught Indra many things. Such as how to control magic, how to develop magic, and also how to learn magic that does not come from basic elements.

Indra learned many things when he was with Luzin.

However, after Luzin felt Indra was trained enough to survive. Luzin finally decides to leave and believes that Indra can do it himself. That's when Indra again felt alive in a different world again.

"If you remember again.me who used to be very sad" said Indra who was still lying on a mattress.

Shortly thereafter, Indra finally fell asleep.

The next day, Indra woke up quite early.

After getting ready, he then went to the Bounty Store. Upon arriving Indra to that place, Indra was initially astonished because there was no one there. However, after seeing again Indra saw Opstann sitting alone. Indra came to him and greeted him.

"Hey, Opstann. Why isn't anyone here yet?" Indra asked while sitting next to Opstann.

"If it's this early, then this place is still closed. You're the one who came too early" Opstann replied.

"Aren't you the earliest?" Ask Indra again.

"I live here" Opstann answered briefly.

A waiter came to their table with a drink that Indra had ordered.

"Why?" Indra asked again, while welcoming the drink and sipping it.

"I don't want to talk about it" Opstann replied.

"alright. I can't force you either" Indra replied as she looked at her drink.

Moments later people started to arrive, some of them seemed to still remember what happened yesterday. However, some seem to have forgotten it.

Noah comes, he goes to Indra's table. Opstann looks a little disinclined. However, Indra looked relaxed as usual.

"Your grade is already there" Noah told Indra.

"Eh? Uh, well" Indra replied.

Shortly after, Aurora finally arrived.

"You know Indra? Those two people with Elite Levels. I heard they actually admire you. I actually don't know either. But that's what I heard. It's just that their treatment of you yesterday might make them feel ashamed, not just them. However, also most of the people here" Opstann told Indra.

Indra laughed at hearing that. In the west Bounty Hunter is labeled as dirty work because they are always vigilante. However, in the east they even idolized the Bounty Hunter. That's why Indra laughed.

"Hey, Indra. Why don't you just enter the guild, why instead choose a place like this? I see you're strong enough" Opstann asked Indra.

"At first I just wanted to be Sheriff. However, if I were to become Sheriff I would not be free, which is why I became a Bounty Hunter. Plus, I don't like to hunt strange animals. How're you? Aren't you even stronger than the two people below me? Don't think I didn't realize it, Opstann" replied Indra.

Hearing that Opstann was shocked, the skull had never seen someone who knew its true strength.

Even so Indra was also still confused ever since she first set foot in that Bounty Store. Opstann was unmistakably the strongest person in that place. However, Opstann was only a Tier 1 Bounty Hunter.

Indra finally decided to start her work. Indra came to the table where the poster with Rank S and above was there. There were three chairs on the table, not since when the third chair was there.

Aurora and Noah did not reprimand her, it seemed like they were still ashamed of their behavior yesterday. However, Indra paid no heed to that.

Indra found a pretty interesting poster. It wasn't a wanted poster, but a missing person poster. It is quite strange if the missing person poster is in SS+ Rank because it is interested Indra wants to take it.

"Do you know anything about this guy?" Indra asked Noah and Aurora.

Noah and Aurora stared at each other.

"If not wrong, he's also a Bounty Hunter. Even if it's only Level 3" Aurora replied.

"Although that was the case, the thing that made him a mission with the SS+ Rank were the people who kidnapped him. Those people were called 'Regulus' they were a horde of people who worshipped the Moon God. However, lately many say that their teachings are starting to fall apart. And the boy on this poster a few months ago went to look for one of them" Noah continued.

"Lunar God? What a coincidence... Then do you know the location of the last time the boy was seen?" Ask Indra again.

"They were last seen in a church not far from the Mines in the south" Aurora replied.

"All right! Then I will immediately leave, thank you for the information" Indra replied as she moved away from her seat.

Indra then headed to the mining town. Passing through a city full of people who are busy with their own lives.

"I did not know that my Master's followers were heretics" Indra told himself as he walked through the crowd.
