FROSTBITE AND INFERNO

Avalance and Ignis the father of Indra are siblings. However, before they got into the Magic College in the South 150 years ago they were nothing but delinquents.

Ignis is a child full of enthusiasm, he is also the one who always takes care of his sister Avalance.

In contrast to Ignis, Avalance tends to be more lethargic and devoid of spirit. However, even so she greatly admired her brother.

One day, they get a chance to enter a Magic College. They were both disciples who were talented using magic. Ignis has fire magic while Avalance is an ice magic user.

The Magic College had a very large building, and the place was filled with students who were like living in the dormitory of that place. The building has three core buildings, the middle building is towering with a large clock embedded there, while on the right and left there is an elongated building which is a dormitory. The building is a male dormitory and the right is a female dormitory.

They were both able to be the best of the rest and become Ethereals. The Ethereals were an army filled with the best disciples of the Magic College from the southern region.

Ignis is number 1 among them. However, Avalance chose to remain at the bottom.

The difference in Avalance's attitude from Ignis made many people think that one day Avalance would become a criminal.

Day after day Ignis and Avalance make distance from each other, Ignis who is known as the number one always hindered his duties when he wanted to meet and talk with his sister. Fortunately Avalance understood her brother's busyness.

People simply did not view Avalance as a person worthy of being an Ethereals. He is a lazy person even many say that he ate a blind salary. However, Ignis always defended his sister.

One night, the two of them passed each other in the hallway of an already deserted dorm.

"Avalance, don't hold back too much. You will be expelled from Ethereals if you continue like that" Ignis advised his sister.

"Sorry, brother. However, it is still difficult for me to adapt in a new environment" Avalance replied.

"It's okay, I understand how you feel" Ignis smiled.

"Actually .. I was assigned to exterminate the ogre in a cave not far from the city, they suggested I bring some people. However, I think we've both had enough" Ignis said again.

"Are you coming?" Ignis asked.

"Of course, sis" replied Avalance smiling.

The next day they both set out for a cave that seemed to be a nest of ogres. Arriving there, the two of them did not expect that the cave would be so big.

The mouth of the cave was almost as big as a hill. They both finally entered it.

In the cave they were welcomed by the ogres. The bodies of the ogres were enormous, with pale skin and fangs in their mouths.

However, there was one ogre that had the largest body. It was clear that the creature was the leader of another ogre.

"It looks like the big one is their leader, I'll beat him right now, you take care of the system" Ignis said.

"That's easy" Avalance replied.

Meanwhile, the sorcery school party is in a panic because Ignis and Avalance decided to eradicate the orges even though they had told Ignis to bring more people. Therefore they sent some free Ethereals to go help Ignis and his sister.

A while later, they finally reached the cave. But instead of helping. They were just exhausting themselves there, not a single ogre was left.

"Hey, you guys are coming?" Ignis called out to them beside the corpse of the ogre leader whose half body had already become ashes.

"You did it yourself?" Ask one of them.

"Of course not!" Answer Ignis.

"Of course there's my sister who helps" he continued.

Ignis then pointed at his sister. There they saw a pile of ogre bodies.

Someone was sitting at the top while cleaning up his clothes filled with ice, they were all shocked to not believe that person was the Avalance person whom they had all considered a lucky burden.

Since then people have begun to change their views on Avalance. From then on, Ignis and Avalance earned their nicknames "Inferno" and "Frostbite"

Avalance eventually became known to everyone by his nickname Frostbite.

One night, as usual, people were still passing by in the city as if nothing was going to happen. However, none of them would have expected a catastrophe to come that night either.

There was nothing strange about that night, the dim glowing moon and the stars that adorned the night sky. Until suddenly there was a loud roar from a distance, a roar that was so loud that it was heard all over the city.

Before long people began to run around, a Dragon that looked much larger than a mountain revealed its figure and came to ravage the southern region.

The dragon used dark magic, with it he destroyed an entire city, thousands of casualties that night.

All of them fought desperately against the Dragon including Ignis and Avalance. However, they were no match for the Dragon of Destruction. Tens of thousands of lives were lost at that time.

Only Ignis and Avalance were able to slow down the Dragon. However, still they were unable to scratch the dragon in the slightest. After a while they fought the Dragon was starting to get interested in the two brothers and praised them.

"We don't need compliments from a creature like you" Avalance said, exhausted.

"You should be proud to be praised Creatures like me, unlike other dust you are quite great" said the Dragon again.

"Dust? You mean all the lives you took? Don't you understand what life is? … Never mind. A being like you would not understand the meaning of a life" Ignis said in anger.

The dragon laughed.

"You think so? … Then what about you who always eat and hunt the animals? What about the ants you must always step on every time you walk? Are these creatures not life?" The dragon asked Ignis.

Ignis.

"This is an example of the stupidity of humans, they also often take the life of other living things. However, when the same thing happens to them .. they will feel the most hurt" said the Dragon.

"At least we'll hold you back from doing anything further" Ignis replied.

"Ohh, son .. You underestimated me too much" said the Dragon.

The dragon then used a magic that looked like a black shadow, there were thousands of shadows. The shadows then elongated, forming like hands, and spread throughout the city. The shadow then reached the survivors and threw them all up. Surprisingly they were floating there probably because of the Dragon's magic.

"There are still tens of thousands of them .. Maybe you guys are great enough to give them time to run fast. However, unfortunately it is useless" said the Dragon.

"What are you gonna do? Lower them!!" Reply Ignis.

"Maybe" said the Dragon again.

The dragon was seen using his magic, initially Ignis and Avalance did not know the magic let alone that the Dragon will use, until the sound of people screaming in the sky disappeared and they realized that there was a rain of blood coming down from the sky.

At first they were confused, so that parts of human flesh also fell along with the rain of blood.

The dragon crushed the bodies of the inhabitants and let their blood and body parts fall down.

Ignis and Avalance have failed to save a city from the Dragon, Ignis feels very disappointed with him.

"The two of you are indeed very interesting, because that will give you my curse" said the Dragon.

"Calm .. My curse will not only curse you, it will also give you immortality. Think of it as a small gift" continued the Dragon.

That's when Avalance got his curse, that wherever he went he would always make the surrounding area drop snow ice. However, Avalance never knew what the curse belonged to Ignis.

From that moment on, Ignis's nature changed. He was no longer a feisty person, now he was a vengeful person. His regret for failing to protect the city was clearly plastered on his face.

Because of his curse that harmed everyone around him, Avalance was exiled from the south by the higher-ups of the south. That makes Ignis's grudge even more so.

Shortly after, Ignis went on a rampage and killed almost all of the southern officials. He considered them incompetent in his work and finally intended to coup the Great Witch there. It was not difficult for Ignis, with his fire he managed to become the new leader of the southern region.

After he became the new leader, Ignis retracted his sister's exile and picked her up himself. Avalance was in the North because it was the perfect place to hide his curse. Eventually, Ignis managed to meet his sister.

"I've lifted your exile, Avalance" Ignis said.

"Sister, I know everything. Why would you do something like that?" Avalance's question ignored Ignis' words.

"They don't act as leaders, Avalance. That's why I did it. I will definitely make the southern region the safest region in the country!!" Answer Ignis.

"Sister, I understand how you feel. But this is the wrong way. We've sworn to protect the south, haven't we? And you're doing something like this" Avalance said.

"No, Avalance. This is the best path, I will never let such a night happen again and I will definitely hunt down that Goddamn Dragon!!" Reply Ignis.

"First I will take control of the western and eastern regions, from there I will gain additional power to conquer the Goddam Dragon" Ignis continued.

"That's overdone!!" Reply Avalance.

"It's all for the sake of true peace, my sister" Ignis said.

"No, it will only harm them as well. I disagree" Avalance replied.

"So you want to be my enemy? Well, then don't ever injure your feet again in the south. I won't be disinclined by anyone who gets in my way, Avalance" Ignis said.

"Just do it, whatever your plan is, I'll definitely get in the way as hard as I can. I won't let you mess up!!" Reply Avalance again.

"Then you're no longer my brother" Ignis looked at Avalance with a vengeful look.

From then on, Frostbite and Inferno became eternal enemies. Avalance continued to protect other territories from her brother's invasion and Ignis' plans were always interrupted by her sister.

It has been going on for 150 years, which is the present.
