GAMBLE

After news of the war spread across the country, the media went to great lengths to find The Lightning From the Wild West. However, they were unable to enter the Northern Region because the conditions were currently not possible. Hence, they were trying hard to find an acquaintance of Lightning From the Wild West in the Eastern Region, for some reason they were reluctant to search in the Western Region. The war between the Northern Region and the Southern Region had been going on for almost over 300 years, and this time the war was believed to be the culmination where the two Kings from both sides, intervened in the war.

In addition, the Northern Region had difficulty in treating all the casualties of the war. And to his surprise the Southern Region actually helped provide supplies of medicine and other medical assistance to help the Northern Region. The south brought food supplies for the victims and refugees.

In Avalance's room, he and Ignis have been talking a lot lately. However, he did not expect Ignis would also help the Northern Region.

"What are you planning?" Ask Avalance.

"The war happened because of my selfishness, and I had to admit I was wrong. At least it's my responsibility" Ignis replied.

"Do you think your actions this time can make up for your mistakes from the past?" Ask Avalance again.

"No. However, I understand that you have never held a grudge for me" Ignis replied.

Ignis smiled.

Indra was silent for a moment.

"And my debt is only 6,257 pieces" Miller replied.

"Let's see, we're playing poker tonight. You better win if you want gold. You also do not have to bother paying money again if we gamble" continued Indra.

"But if the three of us play. Who will be the dealer?" Ask Miller.

"Maybe Tiana was willing if she wasn't busy. How's Tiana? Can you help us?" Ask Indra.

"Good" Indra replied.

"Since Mr Miller and Miss Misha are also here, do you two want to have lunch with Mr Indra?" Ask Tiana.

At night, they gathered in the living room to play. The living room in the Avalance house is huge, there are plenty of places to play. However, they choose to play at tables and chairs located in front of a warm fireplace.

Tiana then gives each player two pieces of the hand and puts three cards face down on the table.

Before the game starts, Avalance happens to pass by and watch them play. At first he just wanted to say hello to Misha and Miller who seemed to be visiting. However, after a little observing that poker game, he became interested.

"Oh, Mr. Avalance! We came to see Indra" said Misha surprised to see Avalance.

"No need to be that formal, just call me Avalance like Indra called me" Avalance replied.

Tiana then opens the first card after all the players follow the game.

The cards that come out are Spade King, all players then check their respective cards.

"All in" said Misha.

"All in" Miller said.

"All in" said Indra although not sure.

Since all the players have been All in, Tiana then adds two face-down cards on the table, then she opens all four cards and tells the players to show her cards.

Miller only got two pairs, and so did Misha. However, Indra seemed to be in luck. He got a flush because the three cards at the table had cards with Spade symbols and in his hand he had two cards with Spade symbols.

Avalance who was completely clueless with the game was wondering about the reason how Indra could win.

"This game seems interesting, may I try to follow it?" Ask Avalance.

"Of course, more will be more fun" replied Indra.

"However, I still don't understand about this game. Teach a little to me, Tiana" said Avalance.

Tiana then explains to Avalance about some basic things in card games.

First Tiana explained about the values on the card.

As to 10 is a card with numbers, Tiana also explained that in some games, the value of an ace will be higher than the others.

Jack is a card with a value of 11.

Queen is a card with a value of 12.

Lastly, King with a value of 13.

When Tiana explained about it, Avalance's eyes were fixed on 4 sheets of cards that looked separate from the other cards.

"What about those four separate cards?" Ask Avalance.

"This is the Joker, the card with the highest value in some games. The red joker can be used as a Diamond or Heart card and the black Joker can be used as a Spade and Clover card. In the Old Maiden game, the person holding the Joker as the last card will be considered the loser. In the poker game we are currently playing, the Joker cards are not used" Tiana replied.

Tiana then explains the rules in the poker game to Avalance.

They then restarted the game after Avalance came into play.
