34: TESSA AND AVALANCE

TESSA AND AVALANCE

Tessa was one of the strongest disciples of the Magic College. She is a friendly student and can get along with anyone. At that time Avalance was still an ordinary student at the Magic College. However, his abilities were on par with Ignis.

One day, Tessa is assigned to a mission to guard a forest far from the city alone. At first he was just told to patrol there. However, that all changed when the Vampires suddenly appeared there.

The Vampires attacked Tessa. Tessa is not a weak person. The Vampires are no match for him. At least that was before the leader of the Vampires appeared before Tessa. The figure was tall with a pale face and all-black clothes. The figure had a gripping aura, and the smell of blood splashed everywhere as the figure appeared in front of Tessa. Fortunately the figure did not seem to have come for a commotion.

"Man, what made you do this to my men?" Ask that figure.

"I'm sorry, I-" Tessa couldn't stand the stench of blood and couldn't carry on. Tessa then closed her nose because it could not stand the smell of blood scattered.

"Your forgiveness depends on your answer" the figure replied.

The gripping aura and the smell of blood from the figure made Tessa unable to say anything. It certainly makes the figure becomes upset and makes him start to consider Tessa as an enemy.

Tessa realizes that she already thinks of her as an enemy. Tessa realized it because the aura of the figure was getting gripping. Tessa inevitably prepared to fight with that figure.

Seeing Tessa putting up the horses the figure looked even more upset.

"I did not come as an enemy. However, if you choose it. Then I will serve you, man" said the figure.

Tessa prepares to attack. However, right before his attack hit the figure, his body moved on its own and did not hit the figure. His body seemed to be controlled by that figure.

"You asked for it, man" said the figure.

The figure then throws Tessa without even touching her. Thankfully the throw had no impact on Tessa. Still, Tessa is no match for that figure.

Tessa then tries to escape from the figure. However, the figure always appeared in the direction he blurred. That figure left Tessa with no choice but to fight him.

Tessa was made unflattered by the power of that figure. The figure seemed to be able to control the enemy's body at will, making Tessa unable to fight back.

The figure then makes Tessa's body float in front of him, he intends to destroy Tessa's body from the inside.

"Man, you chose to die. Don't blame me" said the figure.

"N-no! You're misunderstanding" Tessa replied, using all her power to speak.

"It's too late to make excuses" said the figure.

The figure slowly began to destroy Tessa's body, the pain she felt even making her unable to even scream in pain.

However, it quickly struck the face of that figure before the figure even realized it. That person was Avalance who was patrolling not far from there. Hearing the loud bang when Tessa was thrown earlier made Avalance come to check. Because the figure bounced after being hit by Avalance's fist, Tessa who had floated then fell to the ground.

"Tessa? You okay?" Ask Avalance.

"I don't think I can stand up" Tessa replied.

"Please wait a minute, it won't be long" replied the young Avalance.

The figure then rose. The figure felt a sudden chill emerge from the surroundings.

"Try to find an opponent who is your size" Avalance said.

"Hey human, not many humans can touch me when fighting, you are one of the exceptions. What's yourname?" Ask that figure.

"Avalance" he replied.

"Vandrak. Nice to meet you, Avalance" replied the figure.

The aura from Vandrak is now back to normal, the aura is still gripping. However, not as strong as before. It seemed like Vandrak and Avalance were both trying to avoid a clash with each other.

"Your partner has slaughtered my men. Until now he has not given a clear explanation" replied Vandrak.

"Well, I can guarantee that we will not attack anyone unless we or our comrades are in danger. However, let's listen to Tessa's reasoning" Avalance replied.

"The Vampires attacked first, and I was just defending myself" said Tessa, who was lying limp on the ground.

"Your reason is understandable, the Vampires do not have brains and only pursue food if not supervised. However, why didn't you say it in the first place, man?" Ask Vandrak.

"I dare not speak because of your terrible aura, plus the smell of blood splashing around makes me unable to say anything" Tessa replied.

"Yes, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have drunk too much deer blood before coming here" Vandrak said.

"At least, it's just a misunderstanding. However, you still made Tessa like this. Can't you do something?" Ask Avalance.

"Sure, I can cure him. However, I cannot recover his strength" replied Vandrak who then touched Tessa's hand. Miraculously all the wounds on Tessa's body disappeared instantly.

"Once again, forgive me" said Vandrak.

"No, I'm wrong for not being able to straighten out this misunderstanding. Thank you for healing me" Tessa replied.

"All right, one more time. I'm sorry, I'm leaving now" said Vandrak, who suddenly disappeared from Avalance and Tessa's sight.

"Are you really okay?" Ask Avalance.

"I'm still exhausted and probably still unable to walk. You go first, I'm fine" Tessa replied.

"There is no other choice" Avalance said.

Avalance then lifted Tessa and carried her on the shoulder. The two of them went back to the dorm.

"However, you're great at hitting Vandrak and I can't even touch it" Tessa said.

"When I wanted to hit him, I felt like my hand was turning itself. However, I was able to control it and managed to land my fist right in his face" Avalance replied.

Tessa smiles.

"Thank you, Avalance. I don't know what would have happened if you hadn't come" Tessa said.

"I'm becoming more and more convinced that you may not be eating blind pay as they say" Tessa joked.

"Newly this time someone said it like that" Avalance replied.

"I said 'maybe' remember" Tessa said with a chuckle.

That was the first meeting between Avalance and Tessa.

Since then Tessa has been one of Avalance's best friends. He was the one who also respected Avalance other than Ignis. Tessa always defends Avalance when there are people who make fun of Avalance.

They are both compatible partners. Avalance with ice magic and Tessa with water magic. Makes them both a great combination.

Their attitude was also opposite, Avalance was a cold and hard person to get along with. However, Tessa is different she is a person who can flow to anyone. He is best friends with anyone, especially Avalance.

Tessa also often helps Avalance to chat with others. Avalance always helps Tessa when she's in trouble. There was a time when their relationship grew closer and eventually became lovers.

Not a few were envious of the relationship of these two people. Tessa doesn't fit in with the strange, quiet Avalance.

The only person who supports Avalance and Tessa's relationship is Ignis.

Their favorite place is the forest where the two of them first met. The two of them often went to that place at night. The place had a beautiful view, coupled with a night atmosphere filled with stars in the sky.
