Hatori Imas

Hatori Imas
For Eel

Today at Spotaker High School, I sat alone in the cafeteria. I was worried because Ujang did not look out of the morning. As I daydreamed, I was suddenly startled by Vey's arrival.

"Gold, why are you alone in the cafeteria?" Vey greets me and it makes me shocked to death.

"When did you go to school here?" I was confused because all this time, all I knew was that Vey was a neighbor next door to my house who had just moved out of town.

"You're too busy with your jokes every day, acting like Ninja Hatori, until you forget there's a new student here. Yeah, I went to school here about a week ago." Vey replied with a flirtatious smile.

"Ihh. wacko you, Vey." I said while laughing. "Well, didn't you see the Ujang?" I asked Vey again, who knows if he saw Ujang.

"See, maybe he didn't go to school, Imas. Ordinary, heartache denied love to you yesterday." Vey answered with a joking tone.

"Yes, I feel guilty about Ujang, but I also don't want to pretend and sacrifice my own feelings." I tried to explain everything to Vey.

"I understand, Imas. I understand your position or Ujang." Vey acted so thoughtful.

"ahhhhh.. Ujang no longer go to school, how about going home from school we stop by at the front cafe? we'll talk while we're having a conversation." Vey suddenly asked me for a coffee. I who was empty of mind can only say yes.

After school, Vey was waiting for me in front of the class. We headed to the cafe as planned. Vey suddenly tried to grab my hand, a shocked and unusual me immediately brushed it off. "Sorry Vey, I'm uncomfortable and I'm not used to it." I refused Vey and tried to stay friendly.

"Ahh. It's okay, Imas. Maybe the customs in the city are not the same as here." Vey tried to calm me down, which was shocked when Vey tried to grab my hand.

Arriving at the cafe, we sat in a corner chair overlooking the park. Vey pulled out a chair and allowed me to sit down, I was like a princess being served by her bodyguards.

"Gold.. There's something in your bag." Vey looked at my bag whose side was open. I pulled my bag forward and I saw something move in the side pocket.

"Astagfirullah, Imas. Why did you bring eels to school?" Vey was shocked and frightened to see the eel moving wildly in my bag.

Suddenly Vey's shout became the center of attention of Cafe visitors. I, who was just aware of the situation, immediately put the eel into a scraping bag. "Astagfirullah, who put the eel in my bag?" I was confused and a little suspicious of my father. You are always joking, but sometimes the jokes are out of reason.

"Beautiful bring an eel, what do you do?" one of the visitors whispered to his friend. At that time I was really embarrassed. I decided to cancel the coffee, I immediately said goodbye and rushed to leave Vey at the Cafe alone.

Along the way I was really embarrassed. "Crazy, why would you put an eel in my bag?" I asked in my heart and was still confused by what my father meant. I began to get angry and wanted to make a calculation with my father, I accelerated my footsteps towards home.

When I got home, I immediately went to find my mother. "MOMUUUU!" I half yelled in annoyance calling my mother.

After a while of searching, I finally found my mother in the kitchen, busy cooking. She looked surprised at my loud voice.

"Mother, why did you put an eel alive in my bag? I'm so embarrassed in front of so many people!" I complained in a annoyed tone.

My mother looked at me with a confused face. "Dark? What do you mean, Imas? I don't know anything about the eel in your bag. I just finished cooking too. A pantesan eel that wasn't here last night."

Suddenly, laughter from behind came to us. My mother and I turned around, and there stood my father with a face full of joy.

"Haha! Forgive me, Imas. It was just a little joke. I put an eel in your bag to surprise you," he explained, chuckling.

"Mr! This is not a good time for such a joke. I was almost insulted in front of people because of that eel!"

You nodded seriously. "Sorry, Imas. I didn't mean to embarrass you. The joke was just to see the reaction and give a little surprise. But it seems you didn't expect the impact would be this big. I'm sorry."

Shaking my head, I looked at my father with a sharp look. "All right, but don't do that kind of joke again later. I was really embarrassed."

Father nodded in understanding. "Okay, promise. No more jokes like that. Forgive me once more, Imas."

After that incident, we both then talked about the incident at the Cafe and how I felt so embarrassed. He apologized and tried to make me feel better with other jokes and jokes.

Slowly, the atmosphere again became cheerful at home. Although still a little annoyed by the father's jokes, I couldn't help but laugh at his way of trying to improve my mood. At least, the joke managed to make us laugh together.

"Gold you why? how come you suddenly ran right in the cafe?" I was surprised to see Vey standing at our doorstep. His eyes looked worried, and his breathing was panting like he had just run.

"What's going on, Vey?" I was worried about his condition.

Vey took a deep breath before replying, "Gold, something bad happened at the cafe earlier. There was a huge commotion and the police came. I'm afraid you're involved in it."

"Laahh, you know, I went home first, I was so embarrassed by what happened at the cafe" I said in a trembling voice.

The father, who heard our conversation from the living room, came closer. "What's up, kids?" ask her with a face full of worry.

I explained about the commotion at the Cafe and how I happened to decide to leave before the incident at the Cafe. My mom and dad were relieved to hear that I was safe.

Just now we were chatting for a while suddenly some people dressed in police clothes came to the house. They followed Vey because they thought Vey was my plot. Vey who realized he was being followed fell silent, dumb as a monkey lost his banana.

"Good afternoon everyone, sorry that we interrupted your activities. We just got a report that at the cafe you visited earlier, you were carrying snakes. They think you're a thief with a snake on the scene. Let us check you both." One police officer explained the chronology in detail.

"Snakes? what does this father mean?" I then took out the eel that was in a black swipe in the bag.

The policeman who explained the chronology was surprised to see the eel I took out of the bag.

"It's not a snake, sir. It's just an eel" I explained anxiously, exposing the eel to him.

The policeman watched the eel in surprise. He seemed a little embarrassed to have misinterpreted the situation.

"Sorry for our previous concerns. It turned out that we had misunderstood the report," the police said apologetically.

Then, another policeman asked permission to check the bag I was carrying. I swiftly gave it and explained that the bag contained only personal items and nothing suspicious.

After carefully inspecting the bag, the police stated that there were no suspicious items inside. They also requested clarification to other witnesses at the Cafe to ensure that Vey and I were not involved in any suspicious activities.

After clarification from several witnesses who were at the Cafe, the police were finally convinced that we were not involved in any criminal acts. They apologized once again for the concerns and disturbances that had occurred.

I felt relieved when it was all over. Although this incident was very embarrassing and disturbing, I am grateful that the situation has been resolved well.

"Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We will take more cautious action in response to reports like this in the future" the police chief said.

We thank the police for handling the situation with professionalism and maintaining security in our neighborhood. After they left, we returned home feeling relieved and at the same time laughing over the incident that had just happened.

"I never imagined that my eel would make such a mess" I said with a laugh.

My mom and dad joined in our laughter. They were relieved that everything ended well and the incident was just a misunderstanding.

Father apologized to me for the joke he had with the eel in my bag was fatal to the point of causing a commotion at the cafe.

I saw a sincere expression of regret on Father's face when he apologized. His eyes were filled with regret and he really showed his regret.

"Sir, there's no need to apologize anymore. This incident was a misunderstanding, and I knew that you didn't mean to cause such a mess" I said gently, trying to calm her heart.

Mother nodded her head in agreement. "Yes, honey. You have learned from his mistakes. We're very sorry if the joke makes you feel embarrassed and uncomfortable."

I held my hand with regret. "Gold, forgive me. You promised to be more careful and consider the impact of your future jokes."

At that moment, Ujang suddenly came while running. "Gold, what's wrong? why are there so many cops here?"
