Hatori Imas
Building friendships and dreams

Me, Vey, Usep and Ujang spent the night eating together. Vey, who deliberately bought food for all of us, was eager to show me that he could move on.

"Tumben Vey, what event did you buy all this for?" I asked with a strange feeling, surprised and a little happy because Vey finally wanted to accept the situation.

"I've thought of everything, Imas. I also learned from Ujang to be willing to accept the situation. Ujang can move on from you, I should also be able to." Vey replied that at the same time made Usep feel relieved.

At that time, the atmosphere around us was warm and full of relief. I could see a small smile engraved on Usep's face, as if the weight he had felt had been lifted up a little. Ujang, who had become a wise friend, gave an understanding smile to Vey.

We sat together around the table, enjoying the dishes that Vey had bought lovingly. The taste of the delicious food tasted even more delicious because of our slightly lighter mood. We talked, laughed, and threw light jokes at each other.

"I'm really grateful, Vey," I said sincerely. "Your actions show the maturity and kindness of your heart. I'm glad to see you're getting better and ready to move forward."

Vey smiled shyly, nodding. "Thank you, Imas. I need time to understand and accept the truth. But I realize that life must go on, and we must learn to move on."

Ujang voted for approval, "That's right, Vey. Life never stops at one point. We have to keep going and learn from the experience. Imas, Vey has shown his first steps towards a better life. Let's all support him."

We all agree with the Ujang. The atmosphere was getting warmer and more loving, as if there was a new bond between us. We give each other support and motivate each other to keep going, living life with courage and wisdom.

That night, it was a meaningful moment for all of us. Slowly but surely, Vey proves that he is able to move on with his life better. And I, as her best friend, promise to remain by her side, supporting and encouraging her in every step she chooses.

The night is getting late, Vey, Ujang and Usep say goodbye home and tomorrow we plan to watch a movie together in the cinema to celebrate our long broken friendship.

In the morning, Usep picked me up on his favorite motorcycle. I got on the bike and we headed for the city.

We arrived at the cinema with great enthusiasm. When we entered, we decided to watch a comedy movie because we wanted to spend time with laughter and cheer.

After booking the tickets, we sat together in a comfortable chair. The cinema screen started to light up, and we enjoyed the footage of the films that would be shown.

While waiting for the movie to start, we took the time to talk. Usep tells the story of his father's business going well, Ujang shares his experiences from his love-seeking journey, and Vey expresses his interest in developing a new hobby.

Time passed quickly, and the film finally began. We engage in funny and entertaining storylines, laughing along with tummy-shaking scenes.

After the movie was over, we came out of the cinema with a big smile on our faces. That night, we had spent a pleasant time together, strengthening the bonds of our friendship that had recovered.

We decided to stop by the small cafe next to the cinema to continue our conversation. There, we ordered drinks and cakes as a beautiful evening cover.

"Thank you guys" I said with a smile. "You have made this day one of the most precious moments of my life. I am grateful to have you in my life."

Vey, Usep, and Ujang also gave warm smiles. They feel similar and promise to keep supporting each other and keep this friendship going.

Vey and Ujang went home first, while me and Usep resumed our dating show. "Gold, the exam is coming soon, are you ready?" Usep asked briefly.

"InshaAllah, Usep. I've been preparing everything all the way, I want to be successful." I said in a steady voice.

"Actually you've been successful by now, Imas. Your online eel business is growing rapidly and now you can improve your family's standard of living." Usep said with an enthusiastic tone and looked happy.

"Ahhh.by the way family. Next week I'm going to renovate the house, Usep. Thank God there is more windfall, I want to make our dwelling more feasible and comfortable." I said excitedly.

Usep smiled and nodded in understanding. "It was a good decision, Imas. Renovating a home is a good way to provide comfort to your family. I'm sure they'll be very happy."

We continued our conversation while enjoying a drink at the cafe. Usep being a good listener, he listens attentively as I talk about my plans and hopes for the future.

Suddenly, I saw a billboard near the window of the cafe that caught my attention. The ad promotes a fundraising event for underprivileged children's foundations.

"Have you ever thought about getting involved in social activities, Usep?" ask me with interest.

Usep looked at the billboard and thought for a moment. "To be honest, not yet, Imas. I focus more on my school and everyday life. But I realized that being part of a social activity is a good way to give back to society."

I smile. "I agree with you, Usep. We have been blessed with many things in this life, and giving a little of what we have to those less fortunate is a noble act."

After spending time together, we decided to go home. I have to study more diligently so that the exam later my grades do not fall and my ideals to study abroad can be achieved.

Usep didn't know that I was planning to study abroad. I don't want to let Usep down by hearing my plans for the future. I promise to take care of her feelings.

Back home, I started to focus on the exam preparation. I put together a strict study schedule and made use of every spare moment to read and repeat the material. I know the importance of effort and dedication to achieving goals.

Mom looked at me while studying seriously and she suddenly walked up to me and said, "Gold, it's late at night. You need to rest!"
