Hatori Imas
Mutually understand

Waiting for the results of the exam, I sat alone in the room. I thought about my steps ahead. I really want to develop myself by studying as high as possible so that my standard of living improves without having to rely on others.

"I'm confused what to say to Usep. I don't want to disappoint him." I said in my heart.

My mother came up to me with a gentle smile and she said, "Are you sure of your decision to study abroad?" My mother said in a sad tone.

"I don't know, Mother. I doubt it, but I want to pursue my ideals." My answer is full of doubt.

"How's your nephew?" My mother asked me a question that made me doubt.

"I'm confused too, Mother. I don't want to use sad." I bowed my eyes and my mother and held me tightly.

My mother hugged me tightly as an expression of her support. After a while, she let go of her embrace and sat down beside me. Gently, he began to speak.

"Mom understands how you feel, son. You want to develop yourself and achieve your goals, that is a very noble thing. My mother was only worried about the distance and separation that would happen between you and Usep," said my mother softly.

I nodded, understanding my mother's worries. "Mother, I don't want to make Usep sad. But inside me, there is a strong desire to pursue my dreams. I want to study and grow abroad. However, I'm not completely sure if it's the right decision yet" I said honestly.

My mother listened attentively. He then said, "Son, that decision is in your hands. However, do not forget that your relationship with Usep will always last, even though the distance separates. If Usep is a real girlfriend, he will support you in every step you take."

"Maybe I can talk to Usep and explain my feelings. We can figure out a way to maintain our relationship, even if I'm abroad. I want him to know that he's still important to me" I said with hope.

My mother smiled proudly at me. "That's a good move, son. Talk to Usep and listen to his opinions and feelings. Don't let your worries make you give up on your dreams. My mother will always support you in every choice you make."

I smiled at my mother's words. Concerns and doubts still remain, but I feel more steadfast in my decision. I promised myself to keep the relationship with Usep and find a way to maintain our relationship, as well as pursue my dreams.

With renewed vigor and support from my mother, I decided to talk about my feelings to Usep. A few days later, as we both sat in our favorite garden, I was nervous but also excited to reveal what was on my mind.

"Come on, there's something I want to talk to you about" I said softly.

Usep looked at me with attention and said, "Sure, what is it?"

"I've been waiting for the results of my exams and there's a chance I can continue studying abroad" I said slowly. "This is a great opportunity for me to develop myself and pursue my ideals. But, I'm also afraid of making you sad or disappointed."

Usep pondered for a moment, then smiled at me. "Of course, I don't want to hold you back from achieving your dreams. I know how important that is to you. I'm your boyfriend and I want to support you completely."

We agreed to communicate regularly through video calls, text messages, and letters. We also plan to visit each other periodically and arrange a special time to visit each other.

Despite the doubts and fears, I felt even more relieved after talking to Usep. We are both committed to maintaining our relationship while pursuing each other's dreams. In the process, we hope to grow as individuals and stay together as a strong couple.

On the day of the school exam announcement, we all felt anxious waiting for the results we would receive. And, How surprised I am because the expected results are not in line with expectations. I failed to get a scholarship to study abroad.

"Gold, don't be sad. There'll be a time when you can go to college there." Said Usep trying to calm my heart that was in a state of turmoil.

I looked at Usep with eyes full of disappointment, but also moved to see the support and strength he gave. Although this decision did not live up to my expectations, I knew that Usep was beside me, ready to support me in every step I took.

"Thank you, Usep," I said in a stammered voice. "I am saddened to have failed to get a scholarship to study abroad. But you're right, maybe it's not the right time. I can still achieve my dreams domestically. I'll try again in the future."

Usep held my hand tightly. "You have incredible potential, Imas. I'm sure someday you'll achieve all your dreams. Never give up."

When I saw Usep's confident face, my heart became calmer. I realized that this failure was just one small obstacle in my journey. I still have plenty of opportunities to learn and grow, and Usep will always be by my side.

"We can grow our Eel business, Imas." Usep reminded me of my business that I had forgotten a little.

"You're right, Usep. I can still be successful in other fields. Moreover, this business has been running well." I said a little treated by Usep's words.

With renewed vigor and encouragement from Usep, I began to see other opportunities in front of me. Even though the failure to get a scholarship made me sad, I will not give up so easily. I still have the dreams and goals I want to achieve, and I am sure that with hard work and strong determination, I will achieve them.

Usep and I decided to stay focused on developing our Eel business. We plan new strategies, conduct market research, and cooperate with relevant parties. We are committed to developing this business to be successful and to make a positive contribution to society.

In addition, I also decided to continue my studies in the country. Although I originally dreamed of studying abroad, I realized that the opportunity to study and develop myself was not just limited abroad. There are many quality universities and educational institutions in the country that can provide valuable knowledge and experience.

"Gold, I'm proud of you. Even though your initial plan did not go as expected, you remained firm and did not give up. I'm sure you'll be successful in whatever you choose to live by" Usep said sincerely.

I smiled and was moved by Usep's words. His trust and support gave me the strength to face the challenges to come. I know that with the love and support we have for each other, we can get through all the obstacles and achieve our dreams.

"Where are you going to college, Imas?" Usep suddenly asked me something I hadn't thought of at all.
