CHAPTER 6 | Let the time stop for a moment

The car drove towards downtown Terrace.

In the car Jiro started “Gary talks in critical condition mr” said Jiro.

John surprised. “How long has it been?” ask him to Jiro

“A week ago in hospital tuan” sahut Jiro back

“When I visited him, he begged for something to see you for the last time” continued

Jiro lowered his head.

John sighed, he tried to close his eyes considering how long he had last come to

this town.

About twelve years ago. Ja. After meeting Gary in the ruins of the temple who was with little Sara. John had intended to come to visit Newman's shop, but doubts in his heart invalidated his intention to meet Gary at the time.

When John meets Jiro at the Eternal Corporation office, Gary meets Jiro in the CEO's office, but John hides in a special room he can only hear from inside, but everyone else in the CEO's room couldn't hear what was happening in that particular room.

From behind a special room, John sees Gary sitting recounting his encounter with John whose face is similar to that of Lord Araga whom he recognized in the ruins of the temple to Jiro. At that time Gary guessed whether John was a relative of Mr. Araga, whether his son or grandson. But Jiro doesn't want to reveal it, due to John's own request, that the less Gary knows his identity, it will be better for his life. So Jiro simply replied that he had not received any news about the whereabouts of Mr. Araga.

At that moment John felt guilty, looking at Gary's departure with a sad face. Like something's up

in heart.

After Gary's departure, Jiro asked John “Tuan Araga, when will you tell Gary the truth?”

“Jiro, not all humans can understand my existence. And also for his own good, he should know less about my identity.” John said next.

But now at a critical moment, Gary hopes to meet with Araga for the last time. John felt sorry too. For thousands of years, John has lost many of the people who were nearby. Loss is a painful thing for humans. This immortality made him feel this painful thing all his life.

“Alright” exclaimed John disperse his memories.

“Let's meet Gary” continued John who made Jiro breathe a sigh of relief. Jiro has always been on John's orders to help Gary in every way. So he was very close and already considered Gary as his own brother.

Then their car drove to the Mills Memorial Hospital located in downtown Terrace.

Arriving at the hospital, Jiro immediately drove John to Gary's treatment room. On the way to Gary's room, John and Jiro see Sara's entourage, his father and mother who also visit his grandfather. But they didn't see John and Jiro behind them.

“Stop a minute” says John.

“Let them meet him first. I'll wait in the cafeteria of this hospital. But you can go there first. Call me if they come home” John said as he headed to the cafeteria at the hospital.

It had been an hour that John was sitting in the cafeteria drinking his coffee. John's eyes looked towards the window of the cafe that night the sky was full of stars. Then John lowered his head and closed his eyes for a moment to rest.

“John, is that you?” I heard the voice of someone next to him.

John opened his eyes and raised his face towards the voice. He saw Sara standing next to him. Then John also stood up, he saw Sara's eyes were swollen with tears, but her beautiful face is still visible.

Sara, whom he knew so passionately, was now grieving in front of him, John did not know what to say

whatt.

Before John could say, Sara had run him over and hugged John tightly. John felt a warmth flowing down his chest. Sara sobbed in John's arms.

“What's Sara?” john pretended not to know the situation.

Sara wiped her tears and said “My grandfather, he is in a critical condition unconscious. The doctor said, Grandpa no longer has a life expectancy. My grandfather always took care of me, but I wasn't around when he was sick. I'm sad, John.” said Sara was back in tears.

John understood Sara's feelings, then said “Every human has their own time Sara. Whatever

Sara cried and hugged John back. John doesn't turn it down, right now John knows Sara

need a hug.

Let time stop for a moment.

Then they were made aware of the ringing of the phone in John's pants pocket. Sara let go of her embrace.

“Sorry, I have to pick up this phone” John replied later while moving away from Sara.

“Halo, Mr. Araga. Sara's mom and dad are back. But I don't see where Sara” sounds

Jiro's across the phone.

“Good. He is here with me” said John while looking at Sara who was still fixated on subduing

his head then he hung up.

“Sara, take me to see your grandfather” said John later.

“You know my grandfather?” ask Sara.

“Yes, your grandfather was my benefactor all along. I also came here because I heard it hurt” replied John who was partly right.

Sara looked at John, wiped her tears and pulled John's hand towards the treatment room

his grandfather.

In front of the treatment room, Jiro stood waiting for John to come. Sara doesn't recognize him asking “Who are you?”.

“I am a friend of your grandfather and John.” Jiro said

Then Sara escorted John into the room where his grandfather cared for him. It looks like medical equipment is connected to Gary's body. His heart rate is weak, visible from the ECG screen. Gary's face is covered by a breathing tube. Consciousness does not exist. Gary looked like he was asleep.

Sara sat down on the chair next to her grandfather holding his hand and kissing him. Her tears flowed again like endless.

“Grandfather, Sara is here. Build kek” said Sara trying to resuscitate her grandfather.

John slowly approached Sara, then held her shoulder. Sara felt the warmth of John's hand on her cheek as she shook her head touching the back of John's hand.

“Sara, what food or drink does your grandfather like best?” ask John to Sara.

“Grandfather likes to drink white wine the most. Why John?” sara asked curiously.

“Jiro, take Sara to buy her grandfather's favorite wine, continued John while blinking his eyes at Jiro.

Jiro understands what John means.

“Miss Sara, John wants to be with your grandfather. Let's buy him some white wine so that when your grandfather wakes up he can enjoy it.

Sara did not understand John and Jiro's intentions, but when Sara saw John looking at her grandfather with teary eyes, Sara did not dare to ask further. Then he went out with Jiro, and let John have time together with his grandfather.

While in the treatment room only John and Gary stayed, then John stepped closer to him, putting his right hand over Gary's chest. John closed his eyes, channeling his aura into Gary's body. The flow of spirit entering Gary's body gave him a warm feeling that flowed throughout his body, then headed to Gary's head and stimulated his brain to awaken Gary's consciousness.

Before long, John raised his hand and Gary started to open his eyes. The first time he saw a vague shadow then it became clearer to see John's face in front of him.
