CHAPTER 36 | The Replica

The next day, after delivering Sara and Cindy to the train station, John then receives a call from Jiro that today there is an auction in a building in Russia in the afternoon.

Jiro also prepares a special black card from a bank for John's needs when necessary for the auction. Soon John called Sasha asking for help to be included in the auction that will be held this afternoon.

A wealthy family in Russia has a world-famous auction house.Many wealthy families participate in the auction. This auction is closed, only for the upper class where high-level collectible items are displayed in the auction.

One of the items that will be auctioned in the auction house is a collection of jewels from the legendary British family. It is said that the jewel was once used as a decoration on the sword of the king of England, which made John want to see the jewel.

That afternoon John is picked up by Sasha to an auction house in downtown Moscow. Sasha has obtained a closed-door auction pass from a distant family in Russia. Upon entering the auction room, the simple-looking John became the center of attention of the people from the upper class around him.

“It seems that the Mikhelson family auction hall has decreased so that dogs and cats can enter here”, Dimitri said as soon as he saw John's arrival.

Hearing Dimitri's innuendo, John only smiled “The little wolf that ran away could only gawk, but did not have the fangs”

John's innuendo makes Dimitri's face red, as does the man next to him. “Bos, this is the man I told you about yesterday” Dimitri whispered to the man next to him who was smoking a cigar.

The man, Yankov, the great boss of the Red Wolf, was one of the wealthiest blacks in Russia. He simply glanced at John while puffing his cigar smoke. Yankov had always been accompanied by one of his notorious and powerful bodyguards, Demian.

As John begins to sit with Sasha next to him, a beautiful, Latin-faced woman enters the auction room. Luciana Lemann, about twenty years old who came with an interpreter as well as her bodyguard. Then Luciana sat down next to John, watched him for a moment and looked around.

Before long the auction host introduced various auction objects that did not attract the attention of John. Bid bidding an auction took place in the room which made John quite bored. Until the arrival of the peak of the auction, the auction of gemstones of the British royal collection.

The host introduced a representative from the British royal who came to the auction.

“Lord and Madam, we introduce to you Lady Amelia, from the British Empire who presented some of her gemstone collection as the apex item in this auction” said the host, while pointing towards a beautiful woman who was sitting in a row of vips in front of John.

“John, the peak event is starting soon, there are five gemstones that will be auctioned at this auction” whispered Sasha to John.

John nodded his head, then his eyes looked towards the catalogue given by the previous auction committee and found all five photos of the gemstone.

“The first gem, an emerald with an opening price of one million dollars and auctioned with multiples of one hundred thousand dollars”

“How's John?” ask Sasha. John looked at the jewel, but did not find the aura he was looking for.

John shook his head “Not this”

The auction continued with further gemstones, but nothing interested John. Until finally the last gemstone was mentioned in the auction.

“This is the last collection of gems to be auctioned today, a red jewel that was once a decoration on the royal sword of England” said the reader of the next event while removing a red gem that emits a radiant glow of glitter.

John narrowed his eyes at the jewel, but he did not feel the aura he was looking for on the gem “This is a replica, not the original. But I think this gem is very similar to the original” said John.

John's words were heard by Lady Amelia in front of him who was shocked, then turned to look at John with a look of disbelief.

“How did this man know?” amelia said in her heart

Luciana Lemann who was also sitting next to John turned to him “Why are you saying that it's a replica?” ask John.

“I've seen the original” John said next.

“Iya.” said John seriously who made some people next to them laugh at him.

“People like you brag too big” Dimitri said with a laugh

The host who heard that felt uncomfortable with the situation “Master, if you do not make an offer, you should not interfere with the auction”

John then stood “If it was the last jewel displayed today, I think this auction is not too interesting for me”, while walking out of the room.

John's actions make the room boisterous, then Sasha followed him out of the room.

Luciana who saw the incident, after noticing the jewel, she immediately followed out.

“Wait tuan” said he called John after being outside the auction room.

John stopped his steps then turned to look towards Luciana.

“I Luciana. Luciana Lemann” said she handed her business card to John.

John took the card and shook Luciana's hand “I'm John. John Araga”.

Luciana looked a little frowned at John's name, then smiled “It seems that you are quite familiar with gemstones. May I invite you to visit my collection one day?”

“Alright, miss can contact me anytime for that. Coincidentally I did like gemstone” said John while giving his phone number.

“Luci, what is khabar.” sound quite eloquently heard in John's ear.

Lady Amelia, the woman in front of him was walking towards them.

“Lady Amelia's. Is the auction over?” ask Luciana.

“Already. But I don't see you there. Apparently you are meeting this guy” said Amelia with a cold face.

“You were too brave to brag about the last jewel just now. You doubt our credibility as the owner of the gem. Do you know the consequences?” ask Amelia with a ketus.

“I know what I said is true. And I'm sure you also know it” said John flat.

“Why are you sure about it?” ask Amelia to come back.

“I told you, I've seen it myself” John said

“Hahahaha.only the royal family has ever seen the gem firsthand. And I guess you're not part of our family not” Amelia said next.

John then fell silent, he could not explain further that he had met the British royal family in the past and saw the jewel himself at that time.

“Have it, you want to believe it or not. Not important to me. Just not the gem that I was looking for” said John as he passed leaving them.

Luciana and Amelia who were apparently close friends looked at John's departure with curious faces on their faces.
