CHAPTER 5 | Meet Cindy's parents

Boston Logan Airport, located on the Boston Peninsula, is one of the busiest airports in the United States, which is crowded with flight activities for almost 24 hours.

In the afternoon, Cindy was sitting in the corner of the international passenger lounge for flights to Terrace Canada at Terminal C using Air Canada. His eyes went around looking at the passersby around him, looking for the apparition of the person he was waiting for.

A moment later Sara appeared at the entrance of the lounge by carrying a backpack on her back then she

waving towards Cindy who was sitting while staring at the door. With a smile, Sara approached Cindy “Sorry sister, I'm not too late right?” he sat down next to Cindy.

“Has John arrived?” sara asked while looking around.

Cindy shook her head answering “Not yet. It's 30 minutes to board, but I haven't

saw her”. Cindy looked worried. Will John really come with him to the city of Terrace.

“Quiet brother, he must be leaving. He also has business in Terrace. So she will definitely leave.” said Sara calmed Cindy down, although she herself was also worried whether John would leave at this time.

Shortly afterwards a simple figure entered through the lounge door that dashed the worries of the two of them. “Have you guys been waiting a long time?” ask John.

“Ah, no. We just arrived” said Sara and Cindy almost simultaneously, then they looked at each other

which made John laugh at their behavior.

The two of them could not hide their nervousness. Then a call was heard for immediate boarding

right after John came and they immediately boarded the plane to leave. About 8 hours drive to Terrace, after changing planes in Vancouver finally they arrived at Northwest Terrace Airport.

Upon exiting the airport door, it appears that Cindy's mom, Andre Johnson and Lydia Johnson, are already there to pick up Cindy. They wave at Cindy and Sara. Soon Cindy ran up to them and hugged her mom and dad. Sara who was beside him greeted “Halo om, aunt. How are you?”

“Hi Sara, well you've changed a lot. Long time no see ya” said Lydia while hugging Sara.

Sara smiles feeling the warmth of her mom Cindy's embrace.

“Where are your parents Sara, I didn't see them?” asked Andre while looking around.

“Anu om, I didn't tell them. I want to give a surprise because I came home suddenly miss this city”

sara smiled.

“Then come with us. We'll take you to your house” take Andre next.

“Thank you om.” replied Sara while bowing her body.

“Oh yes papa, mama, introduce this my girlfriend John.” continued Cindy after seeing John appear out of the airport door which then she immediately hugged John's arm with affection.

Andre and Lydia immediately gaped at the scene.

Sara immediately twitched her eyes, her heart seemed to be pierced by thousands of arrows.

John himself was clumsy after feeling the warmth of Cindy's embrace accompanied by something that stood out

felt in his arm. His head felt heavy, but was forced to put out a smile on his face for the sake of the drama that was just about to begin.

“Evening aunty, introduce me John. John Araga” said John as he extended his hand.

A boyfriend? Cindy's parents were stunned when they didn't expect her son to come home today with a boyfriend. Both of them saw John's appearance that was really far from their expectations, especially his long hair. With a heavy heart they both shook hands “pacar” mentioned by her son Cindy.

“It's nice to meet you nak” Andre said. “Are you waiting for an invitation?” ask Andre next

“Iya om, my invitation is already on the way. I'll wait a minute at coffee shop” said John.

Cindy is reluctant to separate from John, and wants to drive him to his destination. Yet seeing

the situation of his parents being shocked, he undoes his intentions.

Sara was a little dizzy hearing this drama, she was trying to close her eyes to avoid questions from both Cindy's parents, however.

“Sara, you also know this?” lydia asked to confirm the news from Sara's mouth.

Both Cindy's parents sighed, not knowing what else to say.

“Tell me more later at home” continued Lydia.

The car drives to Newman's family home, Sara's parents. Sara's parents were shocked to see Sara's sudden arrival. After taking Sara down, the three of them returned to the Johnson family residence.

Sara then hugs her parents Andy and Lili Newman. Then Sara asked, “Where is grandpa pa?”.

Sara's parents are shocked to hear Sara's question, and Andy slowly explains that his grandfather is in the hospital. Sara's surprise turn,”Why didn't mom and dad tell me about Grandpa's situation?”

“Since when did grandfather enter the hospital? “ further Sara asked.

“A week ago. We do not want to interfere with your lecture that is nearing the final task” said mama

Sara, Lily.

Sara was sad to hear that she and her grandfather were so close. In her childhood, Sara was more often with her grandfather than her two busy working parents.

“Take Sara to pa hospital,” her door while wiping her tears.

Meanwhile, John is still waiting at the Coffee Shop, seen a luxury Audi car latest class stop in front of the Coffee Shop. Then came down a fifties-looking Asian-faced man, but still looking dashing down from the car.

“Mr Araga” greet the person while bending his body.

“Jiro, long time no see. There is anything inviting me to come to this city” John said

“Sorry, Mr. Araga, let's talk in the car” continued the man named Jiro, then opened the car door allowing John to enter.
