CHAPTER 15 | I promise to keep an eye on you

“Why should in Turkey?” sara asked as she sat at a food stall near the campus

“Entahlah, maybe the organizer chose Turkey because Turkey is one of the places that have many historical relics in the world” said Cindy

“Can I go there?” sara Pinta.

“Ah, you are completing the final task. If it is finished, of course you can participate after becoming one of the archaeologists” replied Cindy who made Sara smile wryly.

Surely you want to meet John there, Sara thought in her jealous heart.

“Alright then, I go home first to finish my final task quickly” Sara said with a frown.

“Ok sweet sister, do it with yah” spirit Cindy said with a smile.

Sara did not go straight to her house, but soon met the professor in her room. After knocking on the door, the professor heard Sara to enter.

“Professor, I heard that there will be a meeting of archaeologists of the world in Turkey. Can I tag along to add insight as my final task drafting material?” ask Sara.

The professor saw seriousness in Sara's speech. Sara is one of her talented students and loves history. And Sara was one of her favorite students that she guided in her final assignment.

“Can you, Sara. But we cannot bear the cost of your travel and accommodation there. I can only invite you to attend the meeting later” said the professor next.

“Thank you professor. No problem about transport and accommodation” said Sara happily while bowing her body.

“Good. I expect a lot from you Sara. You can take a lot of knowledge and information from the meeting later” continued the professor back.

“Thank you professor for your support” says Sara back.

Then Sara left with a happy heart. He called his parents for permission to go to Turkey to attend an archaeological meeting there for his final study.

Of course, both parents allow their children to leave for the sake of their studies. This makes Sara's spirit rise and then when she arrived at her apartment she did her final task with a flowery heart. Sometimes he stopped daydreaming of himself taking a walk in Turkey with John. It's romantic she thought that made her cheeks blush.

Istanbul Turkey, in the morning the Halic Congress Center building has been crowded by archaeologists who come from all corners of the world. As John had guessed, the organizer of this meeting was the New World Company in Turkey.

Outside the courtyard of the building looks Cindy who has contacted John to meet, waiting for him at the doorstep of the Halic building. Some of Cindy's acquaintances saw her then greeted each other one by one and shared information.

Shortly thereafter John showed up with his usual simple appearance. Archaeologists were not surprised by John's appearance, as appearance was not the main concern of archaeologists.

Seeing John coming, Cindy immediately approached him with a happy heart. Cindy worksuit but still displays her elegance.

“Finally you come also John, let me follow me into this meeting” Cindy said as she grabbed John's hand and pulled him inside the building.

“Cindy. You come also” suddenly heard a voice calling Cindy who is familiar in her ear.

“Anthony” shouted Cindy after turning her head and seeing an acquaintance of hers.

They embraced like relatives who had not met for a long time. John who was near Cindy did not pay much attention to it, his eyes were busy observing the surroundings of the room inside the building.

“Ohya Anthony, this is my fiancee, John.” Cindy said as she drew John's hand.

“Tacto?” anthony said as he looked at John narrowed his eyes.

Ja. A fiancee? john thought the same while turning to protest at the word Cindy but she did not say. Isn't the play over. The show was only for Cindy's parents, right? Why did it suddenly continue all the way here?

Regardless of John's protest, Cindy suddenly stomped on John's feet with her hands holding John's hand which was made dizzy by him.

“Include, I'm Anthony Spencer. I am one of the members of this new world expedition.” continued while extending his hand.

“I John. John Araga” replied John while replying to Anthony's hand.

“Welcome to this conference. Cindy and I used to be college friends at Harvard”, Anthony continued with a smile.

Then they talked about their college past and asked their friends about each other. John just smiled listening to their conversation while occasionally looking around the conference room.

“Anthony, you apparently also participated in this conference ya” suddenly heard a voice they recognized.

“Profesor” said Anthony and Cindy almost simultaneously as soon as they saw the university professor coming close to them both.

But what Cindy and John do not expect is the appearance of Sara who follows the professor behind her.

“Sara?” cindy and John are almost the same.

“Why? Are you two not happy to see me coming?” sara asked with a frown.

“Not so Sara” said Cindy who felt bad.

“You guys talk first, there's something I want to talk about with John” Sara said as she stared intently at John. For a moment John was horrified in his life, he who had been through life dead for centuries, not expecting to feel afraid of the gaze of this young lady.

But John was relieved, because the arrival of Sara made him avoid boring talk about the past and history among the archaeologists.

John followed Sara to a corner in the room. Cindy could only see the two of them leaving with a hint of disappointment in her heart. The arrival of the professor made him unable to freely accompany John. So Cindy just let John and Sara go.

“Why can you come here?” john was a little nervous

“Why? Did I interrupt your show and Cindy?” sara asked back.

“Not” says John.

“I have my own reasons for attending this meeting” continued John without telling me the real reason.

“If it wasn't for my promise to my grandfather. I will not come here” Sara said as she folded her hands and threw away her face.

“What promise is it?” asked John to tease her

Sara's face flushed at John's words. She did not dare say that she promised John to be his grandfather's wife.

“I promise to look after and watch over you” her mouth told a lie to John that was answered with a smile John.

“Why are you smiling?” sara asked while glaring at him.

“Ah, no. I just smiled happy to see you,” said John avoid Sara's eyes.

“Let's go in, it looks like they will start this conference.” invite John to avoid further talks

Sara agrees and walks with John into a large conference room.

In the spacious conference room, there is a very wide screen that can be seen from the back of the room. John sat in the second row from behind with Sara who was also sitting next to him.

While Cindy sat in the third row in front with professors and fellow lecturers from other Harvard universities.
