KING GULF

KING GULF
Chapter 09's

"Aackhhh!!!" Shouts of someone followed by the cries of someone else.

"Please! I beg you to save my husband" Shouted a woman trying to find help. Gulf and Mew who heard the sound rushed to him.

"What's wrong?" Ask Gulf.

"My husband's in pain. I beg you to help him" He gripped Gulf's hand tightly.

"Can we see it?" Ask Mew. The woman immediately brought the two in.

Both of them were surprised to see that person looked in great pain. Mew immediately approached her and examined some parts of her body. Mew cast his spell, Gulf and the woman just saw him not understanding. At once the man calmed down.

"What happened to her?" Ask the woman a little panicked.

"Just calm. He just fell asleep now and also gave her something bitter to make her vomit. Then little by little the poison will come out" said Mew.

"Thank you your master for helping my husband" The woman clasped Mew's hand tightly.

"Yes together" The woman saw her husband who looked calm and her worries began to subside.

"Sir, are you a doctor?" Mew and Gulf looked at each other, they were confused as to what to answer.

"No. But I know very little about treatment" Mew said. There's no way he said if he was a vampire hunter, people wouldn't believe him.

"really? But master you are great at dealing with this disease, I see people who bring doctors to his house but do not get any results. Everyone gave up on not being able to treat him" Mew just smiled awkwardly.

"When did your husband get this disease?" Ask Gulf.

"Since two days ago. My husband went to pick up the food that was distributed in the village hall, but on his return he looked pale and had convulsions. I'm lucky to see you both"

"Where's the village hall?"

"Not far from here. But it will be useless if you go there, the distribution of food there has stopped since yesterday. People suspect if the disease is from the food they give"

"Do you know who distributed the food?"

"People say it's from the royal palace" Gulf closed his eyes in anger, certainly making Mew worried. Gulf also without saying goodbye went out. He never gave orders to distribute food in this village.

"I'm sorry but I think we should leave soon. May your husband recover quickly. Then we say goodbye" Mew again had to chase the angry Gulf.

Unlike what Mew thought, Gulf was just a short distance from the house they had just visited. He also approached her.

"What did you do to him?" Ask Gulf who has been curious since.

"I'm just helping to get rid of the curse"

"What do you mean?"

"I'm not sure but maybe it was the food that caused them poisoning. But what was more domineering was the curse given to him. The poison was not particularly dangerous, but a curse that worsened his condition and if left unchecked would lead to death"

"But how did he get the curse? He's just a regular farmer"

"If my guess is not wrong. There's someone asking vampires for help to do this"

"What?! Who is brave in my kingdom?!" Gulf sped his way towards the palace, but his steps came to a halt.

"But aren't vampires unknown to humans?" Ask Gulf.

"Yes that's right. But it could have been if a vampire had offered his help" Gulf was getting confused thinking about it. Royal affairs alone have made him dizzy, now plus creatures that have been considered myths become real and cause problems in his kingdom.

...****************...

Gulf and Mew arrived at the village hall mentioned by the woman. It looked quiet, but there were still flags left behind. What makes the Gulf upset is that the flag attached does indicate that all the food given comes from the palace.

"Why is it so messed up here?" Tanya Mew saw the place was a mess.

"The people did it. They must be angry because what was given here made them sick" Mew nodded.

...****************...

Bright and Mew and Gulf gather in Gulf's den.

"I really never got a report like this. I'll ask Mr. Pan about this" Bright said after hearing the Gulf talk. Gulf nodded too.

"And so is Mew-" Gulf said without glancing at him.

"Oh you called me Mew? I think you're younger than me" Mew said. No response, neither Gulf nor Bright were in serious condition, both of them just staring at Mew. Mew averted his eyes, he actually wanted to melt the atmosphere that was quite tense, but it seemed less appropriate for him to joke.

"Ah well sorry I forgot you're the king. You can call me Mew" Mew said.

"P'Mew" Call Gulf. Mew was of course surprised and delighted, he immediately looked at the Gulf with passion. Bright directly looked at Gulf a little in disbelief.

"Your highness"

"It's okay. P'Mew is not among my people. So I'm not the king"

"I'm asking you and the other hunters for help" Mew and Bright quietly listened.

"Oh what are you doing? No need to be that formal. Of course I'll help" Mew didn't think the Gulf would bow to him for the sake of his people. Rumors circulating about king Traipattanapong are clearly untrue.

"Your Majesty wake up" Bright said. The three sat back.

"Without you telling me I would definitely help. This is also our job as vampire hunters"

...****************...

The morning came again, the sunlight entering the Gulf room woke him up. Bright opened the curtains of his room.

"Good morning, my majesty" Sapa Bright.

"What time is it?"

"It's 8 in the morning"

"Hmm I slept too long" Gulf woke up and took a shower.

...****************...

After finishing Gulf enjoyed his morning breakfast with Bright.

"Where is he?" Ask Gulf.

"Mr Mew? He came back early in the morning. He said he would discuss it with Mile's master" Bright said.

"Oh yes 2 more days to commemorate the queen's death. Is there anything else I need to prepare?"

"No. You prepare as usual" Bright just nodded.

...****************...

Mile gathers some of his men, after hearing Mew's report.

"I will send you straight to the village of Khon in the kingdom of Traipipattanapong. Find people who get the symptoms I described earlier"

"Good" said everyone at once. Everyone broke up to get ready.

"Mew I trust you" Mile said.

"Iya phi I'll do my best. Then I have to help others" said Mew.

"Mew wait. Is the Gulf king coming to that village?"

"Yes he will come. What's up?"

"No. Alright be careful" Mew was a little confused but he left.

...****************...

Gulf exited his palace with Bright.

"Your Majesty" Call someone. Gulf stopped his horse, he stared dislikefully at the person who approached him.

"What are you doing outside the palace?"

"Do I have to report to a kid like you?" Said Gulf, he paid no heed to First either.

"First why are you here? You didn't attend your class?" Ask Bright.

"I asked permission to come here. There's something I need to talk to your Gulf majesty about" said First.

"I'm sorry, but it looks like your highness isn't looking to see you"

"Bright!" Call Gulf.

"Later I'll let you know if your highness is back" Bright said hurriedly following the Gulf. First just stared at Gulf's departure, he was annoyed at being ignored.

...****************...

A large book immediately floated towards First who was only speechless, until the book hit his head. Inwardly he wanted to beat him up but what power if in front of him now was his father.

"What are you here for without success?! At least you follow him!" Shouted Weir. First just shut up.

"Based on a useless stupid kid! Get out of my presence now" First left his father's study with an annoyed look.

Weir set his breath in annoyance, until a servant came.

"Master someone's waiting for you in the basement?" Weir nodded and immediately left.

...****************...

First out of his room, he plans to come out waiting for Gulf to return. His steps stopped when he saw his father walking quickly, he who was curious followed him secretly.

Following him to the basement, First only found out if there was a basement in his house. He who grew curious continued to follow his father, until he saw someone who was waiting for his father. It was not clear who it was, but his father looked very polite to that person. A little annoyed that he could not hear the conversation of the two, wanting to get close even he could not and just observed from a distance.
