Chapter 14's

The palace looked gloomy now, many soldiers were running around here and there. Mew searches for Bright's whereabouts, so many people in the palace. They were the troops led directly by Bright.

"Bright no information yet on the Gulf?"

"Not yet, we've tried to look for him once again in the palace territory but still nothing. Oh yeah what about those vampires?"

In the morning Mew had searched out using his horse even until noon which he met only wild vampires. The troops have started to be deployed, of course Bright asked for help from hunters to participate in the search. Residents around who saw the gossip immediately, they were a little panicked because there were so many soldiers who came here using their horses, so that the streets at any time felt trembling.

Mew downed all the drinks in the bottle until it ran out, he is upset to this day it has been five days Gulf has not been found. He was worried, he missed her too. "Sorry sir, I really didn't see it. You're so fucked up, did something happen?"

"Every day I have to fight with wild vampires. Really upsetting, they're just wasting my time"

"I know for a fact that the wild vampire will be tempted by the energy coming out of the palace" Mew looked at Pete, something he did not understand from his words.

"What do you mean?"

"The past few days this palace released a strange energy, I myself do not know what it is. That energy is powerful enough to attract vampires"

"What's? Why didn't you tell me?!" Mew's words clutch Pete's collar.

"I'm sorry, sir, my fault. I beg you not to kill me" Pete said in fear. If you think about it, when fighting against wild vampires that come, they always lead to the palace.

"How now? Is that energy still there?"

"No. It had disappeared about two days ago" Mew looked at Pete annoyed, he let go of his grip. He gazed at the palace from a distance, he had a premonition that the energy Pete meant might have come from the Gulf.

Elsewhere, in a cave that relied solely on lighting from a candle, the Gulf lay unconscious. Someone came over to him, checking his condition. Gulf opened his eyes slowly, his eyes still blurry, slowly trying to focus his gaze, and he saw someone behind him. Looking around, he remembered the last time he realized was when a sword pierced his stomach. He touched his stomach, but felt no pain and no bandages or wounds on his stomach.

"Your Majesty you are finally aware" said Louis, a royal physician. Gulf looked at him a little clueless. He sat down to help Louis.

"Where is this?" Louis was silent. Gulf looked at him strangely.

"How did you find this place?" Ask Louis.

"Why? Can't I know this place?" Asked Gulf who was full of suspicion. Louis looked nervous, he did not even dare to look into Gulf's eyes.

"Honestly, what is this place?"

"This is the secret place of the previous king. He always comes here to meet someone. You see that tunnel? It'll lead you somewhere"

"Who did he meet?"

"The queen" Gulf did not understand, why his parents had to secretly meet, even though they could meet directly outside.

"How are you feeling now? Is there an uncomfortable part?" Louis examined Gulf's body. He immediately shook Louis' hand which surprised him.

"Your highness"

"Before I got hurt, how could there not be the slightest scar" Louis looked nervous.

"Your noble wound is healed because I treated it"

"Don't lie! Say it! I also had a wound before but it just disappeared" Gulf said, gripping Louis by the neck.

"I'll say your highness but I beg you to release your hand" Gulf did not respond and clasped Louis' neck even tighter.

"Quick say!"

"Because you're a vampire" Louis' words don't surprise the Gulf anymore, but why should he hear it again? Gulf immediately released his grip. He glanced at Louis, a little curious about him. How did he know about vampires?

"A little more than half a vampire. You have the blood of a vampire from the queen"

"Don't joke. Even I didn't drink blood like them" Louis knelt down before the Gulf.

"You drink it every day"

"What?"

"The drug you consider a vitamin, is actually the blood I made into a medicine. Forgive me, your majesty. I was forced not to tell you because this was the queen's request" Gulf didn't want to believe he was a vampire. Everything Pete and Mew ever said to him was true and it turns out this is the reason he has his own powers.

Gulf suddenly coughed and spat out blood from his mouth. A surprised Louis checked the Gulf. He undressed the Gulf to check it out, but there was nothing until Gulf pulled him over and turned to get up.

"Wait for your majesty. Your back..." Gulf wanted to see it but could not.

"What's wrong with my back?"
