KING GULF

KING GULF
Chapter 08's

The morning condition of the palace was quite tense, the higher-ups came in a hurry. Gulf who was already on his throne stared at the higher-ups coming in.

"You dare make me wait?!!" Ask Gulf loudly. Everything went silent immediately.

"Oh I forgot maybe you guys were too busy last night, didn't you?" The higher-ups stared at each other, they slightly did not understand what Gulf was saying.

"Sorry your highness. We made you wait wrong. We deserve to be punished" said one.

"Your majesty assuage your emotions or everything will be frightened" Weir said.

"Do you think I'm scary? I'm trying to be firm with you guys. What did you guys do gather at your house last night?" Some people were quite surprised to hear it.

"Oh hahaha" Weir laughed making Gulf even more annoyed.

"I don't know where you got the information. But we just got together for a drink last night. If your majesty wants to come next time I'll invite you. I'm sorry I thought your highness might not want to hang out with an old man like us" Weir said with an irritating smirk.

"You sure? Not talk of a plot of rebellion?" Everyone was shocked and immediately knelt down. Weir was lazy to kneel.

"Your highness. Don't say it like that. We cannot plan a rebellion. We're loyal to you"

"You think I'm stupid? The care at home was very strict. Especially if it's not because you're talking about something important"

"Excuse me, your majesty, but my house is always guarded. I just want to protect my family, especially lately there have been a lot of murders" Weir said. The higher-ups nodded feeling the reason Weir made sense.

"alright. Then what if we do a search?" Everyone was shocked including Weir but was able to hide it.

"Wait for your majesty. But there's no reason and no evidence that I committed a crime. It doesn't make sense to have a search done for unclear reasons"

"So you're saying I'm just saying shit?" Weir.

"Your highness. Can we listen to the person who gave you the information? Maybe he just wanted to take down Mr. Weir, then say that to you" Gulf fell silent. He couldn't say if he saw it.

"He's gone don't talk about it"

"See, not even for witnesses. What he said was no clear evidence" Weir said.

"Your highness. We can't do a search if there's no witnesses or clear evidence" Bright Whisperer who was loyal next to him. Gulf clenched his hands in annoyance.

"Well you get away this time. Remember that! If you get caught planning it, I don't hesitate to sentence you to death" Gulf said, leaving immediately to follow Bright, leaving the high-ranking leaders in discussion.

...****************...

"What did you see last night?" Ask Bright.

"They clearly came midnight to Weir's house. Especially if you're not planning a rebellion" Gulf said.

"Calm down. I'll try to investigate later" Bright said. Someone knocked on the door and Bright opened it.

"Sorry sir, there's someone who's looking for a noble. He was waiting in the living room" said a waiter.

"All right I'll say. Thanks"

...****************...

Gulf and Bright headed for the living room and they saw Mew waiting for him.

"Oh your Mew master is here" Bright said with a smile by Mew while the still upset Gulf simply bent his face and sat down on the sofa.

"What are you doing here?" Ask Gulf directly. Mew was a little worried about seeing the Gulf.

"I guess you still want to meet P'Mile" Gulf sighed, annoyed that he had almost forgotten that.

"If you can't now, I think I can pick you up again tomorrow"

"No. I'm leaving now" Gulf went immediately followed by Mew leaving Bright confused but he dared not ask with Gulf's condition now and just let it go.

...****************...

Along the way Gulf seemed silent, Mew who was behind him even equalized the way.

"If you have a problem you can tell me. Maybe I can help you?" Gulf looked at Mew annoyed.

"What can you help?! Everything is none of your business! Goddamnit!" Mew was immediately speechless, quite surprised by the harsh words uttered by the Gulf, but he had to understand that the Gulf was in a bad shape.

...****************...

Mew and Gulf reached the mansion and headed straight for the Mile room. The two entered and were greeted warmly by Mile.

"Welcome. It is an honor to meet your majesty. Sorry we didn't welcome you well. My people are busy hunting" Mile and Gulf said only nodding looking around the room.

"Let's sit down" Take Mile. Gulf was about to sit down but he came to a halt, his feelings suddenly uneasy and a little claustrophobic. Mile and Mew only saw him who looked agitated.

"Your highness?"

"Gulf" Mew began to worry about seeing Gulf's face turn pale. Gulf felt bad to be in that room.

"I'm sorry I forgot there was some other business. Maybe next time we talk" Gulf said. Mew sees Mile as confused and Mile tells him to go after the Gulf.

...****************...

Gulf clung to the trees when he felt his legs limp.

"Gulf are you okay? What was? You sick?" Ask Mew who came. Gulf set his breath, his legs limp and he sat down to follow Mew beside him.

"How now?"

"It's better"

"It's good that I ask P'Mile, maybe he knows something" Gulf nodded and returned to his feet after feeling that he had improved.

"Sorry before I said rudely to you" Mew looked at him and he smiled.

"Not what I understand"

"Damn! Those old men are making me dizzy!"

"Is it because of last night?"

"Yes, I'm sure they're up to something"

"You worried?" Gulf glanced at Mew. He didn't think the question would come out. What am I worried about? If they're planning something, of course I can make their plan ruined.

"What's? Worrying? Where possible. I was just lazy to deal with them" Gulf walked quickly ahead of Mew who was speechless. It was obvious he was worried.

...****************...

Mile stared at the ring he always wore, wondering why when the Gulf Ring reacted. For a long time the ring had not reacted, until he thought it was not working.

...****************...

On their way through a small village. Gulf watched the people around him. Some sat on the ground like beggars.

Gulf and Mew visited a fairly large restaurant, but there were not many visitors in it. The waiter approached the two.

"Sir what do you want the message to be? We have the best wine here and also the sweet dishes typical of this village"

"Well you bring the food and the wine here" Mew said.

"Okay sir" In the spirit of the servant went straight to the kitchen.

Mew looked at the Gulf who had been looking out.

"What are you thinking?" Ask Mew.

"I know this village wasn't like this"

"What do you mean?"

"The village of Khon is famous for its wine, even some wine is usually sent directly to the palace for invitations from other kingdoms" Servants came with some food and wine.

"May I ask you something?" Ask Gulf.

"Sure sir"

"What's wrong with this village? It seemed like a lot had changed" The waiter instantly fell silent.

"Actually these few days appeared a strange disease. So that the peasants could not work and the crops already in harvest were drawn to the palace, the supplies for ourselves were not enough to be distributed to everyone"

"What do you mean weird disease?" Ask Mew.

"We also didn't know some people suddenly had high fevers and seizures and their blood vessel ducts swelled like they were going out really horribly. The doctors are working and no one can handle it. So many people have died from the disease" Gulf did not understand a little. Why are there no reports of this?

"Then you said there wasn't enough supplies here. But you can still sell?" Ask Gulf.

"Ah that.... My master had a pretty good relationship with the higher-ups of the palace, so we sent some raw materials here. These gentlemen are in fact not to be heard by the greedy king, or there will be no more deliveries" whispered the servant.

Brakk!!

The waiter and Mew were surprised by the table break that the Gulf had done.

"Who gave it to him?! Who's master?! Get him over here! That's so unfair! You don't see people outside starving!!!" The screams of the Gulf made the servant speechless in fear.

"Gulf calm down" Mew tried to calm him down.

"You said I was calm?! While people...." Gulf's words stopped he almost opened his own identity. Because of the annoyance Gulf also left.

"I'm sorry, my friend. He just can't see anyone else suffering" Mew said. The waiter just nodded.

"Then I take this wine and this is the money I have to go now"

"Thank you, be careful"

Mew walked quickly trying to catch the Gulf who had left first.

"Gulf are you okay?" Tanya Mew looked at the Gulf who were staring at the expanse of fields.

"Based on the cunning people! They dared to act but blamed the palace"

"You'd better go back to the palace and think about the next step" Mew said. Gulf set his breath to calm his emotions and went straight away.

...****************...

"Aackhhh!!!" A shout stopped Mew and Gulf as they looked around him looking for the source of the scream.
