Chapter 16's

Mew entered easily because he almost every day came there so that the people there were no strangers to him. Mew is welcome to enter Bright's room. He saw Bright who was busy working.

"You busy?"

"No. Did you find anything?" The first question that is always asked when Mew comes to him.

"First isn't here?" Instead of answering, Mew came back with a question.

"He's back in town"

"Goodoo. Come with me"

"Where? I've got a lot of work left and you haven't answered my questions" Mew looked around to make sure no one would hear. He approached Bright and whispered something.

"What?!!" Bright immediately left Mew.

Gulf waits for Bright and Mew behind the trees.

"Gulf!" Calling someone, Gulf immediately pulled out his sword preparing to attack.

"It's me Bright" Gulf who saw him immediately put his sword back in.

"The worried "Bright" Bright directly examined Gulf's body making sure there were no injuries in the slightest.

"Where have you been all this time? I know it must have been you after seeing the horse they found"

"Will I tell you later. Is First gone?"

"Yes he just got back. We'd better talk in my room" Take Bright.

"What if they see me?" Gulf. Bright looked at Gulf's current appearance.

"I think your clothes are quite covered, they won't see your face clearly, you're with me anyway. Come on" Mew and Gulf followed.

It was almost midnight and it was time for the soldiers to take turns. Bright returns with Mew and Gulf. Walk quickly but try not to be suspected by anyone. They entered Bright's office. Bright immediately prepared a drink for the two.

"Are you going to tell her?" Ask Mew. Gulf looked at Bright who was busy preparing a drink.

"Tell me what?"

"Tells you a vampire"

"of course. He is not only my best friend or confidant, although he is very rigid he is also like my brother. I will definitely tell her" Mew just nodded in understanding.

Bright placed a tray with a few glasses on it.

"What?!" Bright instantly became clueless as to what he was talking about. Bright looked at Gulf waiting for its continuation.

"I'm half a vampire. Do you know my mother, the queen is a vampire. I got vampire blood from him" It's hard to digest the words coming out of Gulf's mouth, but Bright's trying to accept the sudden reality.

"I don't know. Vampires only I've found out by now, where I might know the queen is a vampire"

"That's fact. Actually a vampire once told me that the queen was a vampire, and I was angry with her. So P'Mew, you're not the only one who says the queen's a vampire. I just didn't expect, everything was like a fairy tale but it looked so real. I'm sorry I was mad at you at the time. I always try to deny it. But, I guess now maybe I can slowly accept it"

"I take it in the form of a medicine that I take every day. The vitamin drug made directly by Louis' doctor" Bright as if still do not believe. Everything came so suddenly, forcing his brain to think hard.

"Doctor Louis? What's he... Also...."

"No. He's human just like you"

"alright. So where have you been all this time?"

"I'm in the palace. At that time I accidentally found a secret place in the study. I went inside. There are so many items that are old and that attract my attention the sword stored there. "But he should have told me!" Bright said annoyedly.

"Calm down. He just didn't want anyone to know if I was hurt" Bright calmed himself down.

"Then how's your wound?"

"I'm fine. I'm a vampire, remember? There's also no point in me being a vampire, if I'm a human maybe I'm not in front of you right now" Mew smiled at Gulf while Bright was still worried.

"Relax me it's okay" Gulf said, patting Bright on the shoulder to calm him down.

"But even if you're a vampire you still have to be careful" Mew held onto Gulf's chest which made him shudder slightly, while Bright looked at him suspiciously.

"here. You can die quickly if your heart is pierced" he continued. Gulf put Mew's hand on his chest. The thought of his pierced chest slightly made him shudder in horror.

"Your wounds are healed but why the week after the doctor found you you were unconscious?" Ask Mew.

"Because in a week I don't drink blood. Maybe if it's any longer I could die. Also the condition of his sword that kept piercing me" Mew could not imagine how the Gulf was facing him alone. But he was also grateful, Gulf returned safely.

"Quite chaotic. I only heard information from First. While you're not around, Mr. Weir is replacing you. I was transferred here because I was assigned to look for you around the border. Though I'm pretty sure that he deliberately kept your men out of the palace. If not, how could they limit my movements. Even I'm not allowed to go from the border, luckily Mr. Mew always helps me to find information there"

"So that's why First came here?"

"He came to watch me" It's true that the Gulf's estimation, there's no way First came by accident.

"On the way here I heard that a lot of people were missing. What's the problem?"

"Yes there are some reports coming in here, but that's a report for the area near the border. I don't know how anywhere else. Even First didn't answer me and said it was just an ordinary missing persons case"

"I'm looking for some information to the city. Many of them lost their children there. Everyone every day was always urging the palace to resolve this matter and immediately find their children. There were not many rooms at the border gate, so Gulf and Mew rested in Bright's room. Gulf treated some of Mew's wounds, pleased him and noticed Gulf's focused face.

"Where did you get these wounds?"

"I'm a vampire hunter of course I got it from a fight with them"

"But before you didn't get like this"

"Well.. The last few days, there's been a lot of vampires coming into your territory. I wonder if those people who disappeared have been killed by vampires?"

"What's? They killed?"

"That's still my guess. But usually if so, their bodies should be found, yet no one found them" Gulf nodded.

"Sleep. I'm done treating him" Gulf said, taking the drugs. Mew holds Gulf's hand.

"Get your hands off" Gulf said. But Mew's grip is getting tighter.

"Let's sleep with me"

"What?! You crazy?! How do two men sleep together?" Mew held back his laughter imagining what the Gulf was thinking.

"We just sleep. What's wrong?" Gulf's face is now starting to heat up. He was a little upset with his own thoughts. How could he think about that?

Mew kept the medicine box on the bedside table.

"Come here" the awkward Gulf just obeyed him, he slept on the edge of Mew by turning his back. Mew hugged Gulf's waist which was immediately held by the Gulf.

"I just hugged you. Go to sleep" Gulf was silent even though his heart was racing.

Bright placed the drink in front of the Gulf and sat down in front of him.

"Master Mew isn't awake yet?" Ask Bright.

"Yet. Just leave him alone, I think he'll just get some rest"

"Yes you're right. Every day he's looking for you and every day he's got to fight vampires"

"I know"

"Then what now? You don't even want people here to know you're our king"

"Don't first. Come to think of it I better pay attention to him first what he wants to do. Besides if you tell people here, there could be Weir spies here" Bright nodded.

"Oh yeah what about those villages?"

"There are only a few people still in treatment. As long as you're gone, Mr. Pan has been watching over there" Gulf is grateful that those people have recovered.

Gulf saw Mew who was still asleep. He had to leave, but felt bad if he had to leave without telling Mew. But seeing him who was sound asleep Gulf did not have the heart to wake him. Gulf turned his back, decided to leave.

"Where are you going?" Tanya Mew who had actually been awake since the Gulf had entered the room. Yet he pretended to sleep hoping the Gulf would do something to him, but he was just too hopeful. So that when he peeked at the Gulf that was about to leave, he immediately woke up.

"Sorry phi I woke you up?" Ask Gulf.

"No. Where are you going?"

"I want to see P'Mile"

"Mile? Then wait for me" Mew said in a hurry to get up.

"No phi. You better get some rest"

"No. I've had enough rest. Wait for me, you understand" Gulf just obeyed him and he went downstairs to get his horse ready.

Mew panics a little for not finding the Gulf, but he is relieved to go out and find him preparing a horse.

"Phi let's hurry" Invite Gulf, Mew who is happy also directly obey him.

"Be careful" said a worried Bright. Gulf rode his horse helped by Mew holding his waist. Of course it puts the Gulf to shame. Why would he do that? I can ride my own horse.

"Thank you" Gulf said awkwardly.

After Mew boarded his horse, the two set off for the hunter's mansion.

Along the way Mew always puts on his smile and occasionally laughs himself, he is very happy now to be together again with Gulf.

"Phi if you're like that, you'll be thought to be crazy" Gulf said.

"I don't care. I'm too happy that you're back" said Mew, who made Gulf's cheeks turn red, wearing the hood of his robe and speeding up his horse.
