KING GULF

KING GULF
Chapter 36's

Someone patted Gulf on the shoulder from behind enough to surprise him to almost attack him.

"Why are you so surprised?"

"You disappeared, I thought you were attacked by a vampire"

"I just took a shower. My body was so sticky earlier. What's up?"

"No. You okay?"

"Yes after my rest my body was re-energized"

"Goodoo. I have something to ask you"

The two sat facing each other, Mew looking at the serious-looking Gulf.

"You want to know about your kingdom?" Gulf nodded, many questions he wanted to ask so he was confused about which one to ask.

"Her majesty Up managed to drive Weir away and return everything as before. But right now I don't know where Nick is. P'Mile tried to find out at Weir's residence, but they found no trace of the vampires at all. Where do you think they went? Is it because Weir has been kicked out of the palace, Nick chose to leave?"

"Where to go, but I'm sure he'll be back. He still keeps his people here"

"Oh yes and noble Up put Weir in prison on charges of kidnapping and murder and without your permission he made the announcement with the official stamp of the palace"

"What?! He was just thrown in jail? He could have run away again. Many people were his subordinates in the palace"

"Well I don't know because Bright is taking care of it right now" Gulf thought silently. His desire to get out of here is getting bigger. He wanted to punish those who caused chaos in his kingdom. Thinking of the punishment he would give, gave him a feeling of pleasure in his heart. There was always self-satisfaction when the Gulf gave those people punishment.

"When I get back. The first commandment I will lay is to cut off his head. No, isn't that too easy? What if you torture her slowly? Like those victims, I'm gonna squeeze his blood. What say?" The look on Gulf's face instantly changed at the thought of the punishment that was appropriate for Weir and his people. Mew looked at him, that horrible face appearing on someone he loved. Mew cupped Gulf's face to stop Gulf's thoughts and confuse him with Mew's actions.

"What's the fun of thinking about punishment for someone?"

"What do you mean?" Gulf was a bit dislikeful of the question Mew had given him.

"Your attitude immediately changes when you think about it. Being someone I didn't recognize" Gulf laughed at Mew's words.

"You're afraid of me?" Gulf releases Mew's hand that touches his cheek.

"It is only natural that he will have more painful torment than the victims he has arrested. Wh why? You think I'm more cruel than he is? Thas right. To win a fight you have to be more ruthless than your enemy. Have you always been lenient with your enemies?" Inexplicably, Gulf became a little upset and angry when talking about Weir.

"Gulf what's wrong with you? Think people. What would they think of you torturing Weir? You know for yourself that he's highly respected by your people"

"I know! You don't have to teach me! This is how I punish the guilty. I don't care what they think, the important thing is that I do my duty as king. This is all for them anyway"

"That's what you need to fix! You want people to believe in you but you don't even tell me why you're punishing those who are guilty. It'll give you a bad thought" Gulf grabbed Mew's collar clutching him firmly until he was pushed. It feels like Mew is having a little trouble breathing at the moment.

"Enough!! I knew! You don't have to remind me! Look, everyone has called me a cruel king. Explanation was useless, because I even killed my father in front of them. And you expect me to explain every action I take?! They won't believe it! They've seen my cruelty!" Gulf stared. Mew could see the painful stare that was emitting Gulf's eyes.

Cklek..

"Well annoying, it took a lot of time to convince them" Pete walked into the Gulf room without permission or knocked on the door enough to make him surprised by the sight before him.

From Pete's point of view, it looks like the Gulf is overrunning Mew's body. Gulf has no intention of changing its position. Mew pushed the Gulf a little when he realized Pete was coming. Pete could feel a very awkward condition at the moment. Because after arguing with the people in the kitchen, he forgot to knock on the door first.

"Ah sorry I disturbed you guys. I just wanted to drop this off" Pete hurriedly kept a tray filled with food and left immediately after saluting. Gulf was still staring at Mew furiously. But seeing Mew's slightly pale face, he sighed calming himself and released Mew.

"Let's eat. Take it easy, it's human food" Gulf tried to shake off his awkward atmosphere. Mew just followed him seeing the silent Gulf eating its food.

Bright drank his tea after hearing Win tell him about First. He now understands First. First who did not know the problem was only in a difficult position for him. His father had all this time just told this and that without First knowing the truth for what he was doing that order.

"Where is he going now?"

"I don't know. For sure I don't think he's going to make trouble" Bright nodded. Perhaps he should let her see for herself the true condition her kingdom was in.

"On the vampire. Where'd they? Now that Mr. Weir is in prison, then how are the vampires?"

"I don't know. Mr. Mile said there was no trace of them in Weir's house. So I guess they've left his side"

"Then where is Mew? How's condition?"

"He visited his majesty. The last time I saw his condition was still weak, but he insisted on seeing his majesty"

"When did he take me to the hunter's mansion again?"

"What are you there for?"

"Because I want to be a hunter" he said with passion.

"I really want to go head-to-head against the vampires" Bright looked at him. Win had his own ambitions, everyone knew if he had never been interested in palace affairs. But when it comes to vampires, Win is so excited.

"Why don't you go there alone?"

"Oh about that.... I heard it's too dangerous for a human to come there alone"

"You scared?"

"No! It's just..." Bright held back his laughter looking at Win's current attitude.

"Well, I heard in the woods a lot of times wild vampires appear"

Mew is getting ready to return. He still missed the Gulf, after lunch there was no more talk between the two. Gulf immediately went to practice leaving him alone in the room. Even when he was about to return, he hadn't seen the Gulf.

Pete's taking Mew's departure.

"You sure you don't want to see it?" Mew hesitates, he wants to but maybe the Gulf doesn't want to see him.

"I'm..."

"Aren't you going to say goodbye to me?" The expected voice he heard. Mew turned around and saw Gulf, who was staring at him.

"Gulf. Ii'm sorry. I didn't mean to offend you"

"No. I should be the one apologizing. I'm sorry" Pete looked at the two alternately. He did not understand what they were discussing. He was also curious what offended the Gulf, when what he saw earlier was not they were doing something that is usually done by couples?

Mew smile. Relieved to be able to make up again, now he can leave calmly.

"I will definitely visit you again later" Gulf approached him patting him on the shoulder.

"Yes. I also still need you as someone who conveys information in my kingdom" Mew just laughed.

"May I ask you something?"

"certain. What'sthat?" The Gulf is getting very serious now.

"Do you know who keeps my sword when I'm not around?"

"Your sword is safe in the hunter's mansion. I put it on P'Mile"

"Mile?"

"Yes. Why?" Gulf seemed to think. Mile had been good to him and was very helpful to his kingdom. There was no way he could change his sword. Is there anyone else?

"Who knows it?"

"Only I'm P'Mile and Louis' doctor"

"What's wrong?"

"No. I'm just asking. You can leave now. Say hello to P'Mile" Although saying that with a smile, Mew can see the look on the face of Gulf who seems to think hard. Mew can't linger anymore, Pete escorts him out. His mind was still fixed on the Gulf question earlier. Is there a problem?

Perth gave a letter to Up which he read immediately.

"Good, the hunters have departed for our kingdom"

"Your highness, when will the noble Gulf return?"

"Why? Are you getting tired of being here?"

"No. It's just that I'm worried about our kingdom"

"Patience. Hopefully Gulf will be back soon"

Arriving at the Mew mansion was immediately welcomed by the people there. They were glad to finally meet Mew.

"Where's p'Mile?"

"Oh p'Mile went with some hunters to Poompat kingdom. They left this morning"

"What are they there for?"

"I don't know for sure but little did I hear about the broken protector. I don't know I don't understand" Mew did not understand a little, but he planned to go to the palace tomorrow to ask. It was not unusual for him not to be told about something that was being done by Mile.

A guard brought food for the prisoners.

"Master tell your Majesty the king. I am a loyal citizen to him. Tell him to let me go. I was caught by that guy" The guy tried to hold the bodyguard who gave him food. Weir just looked at him in disgust.

"Let go!" The man's grip was so strong he didn't want to let go.

"Lord let me meet with the king's majesty"

"Your Majesty hasn't returned yet so you'd better wait" After the explanation, the grip finally weakened. The bodyguard just looked at him not understanding. With a slight roughness he let go of the man's hand which then delivered food to Weir.

"Master food. If you need anything you can call me" Weir looked at her. The bodyguard was so kind to him, he did not know him but he was sure that the bodyguard was on his side.

"You wait!" Weir stopped the guard from leaving.

"Who sent you?" The guard slightly glanced at the person next to Weir prison.

"Don't mind him. You can talk" The bodyguard approached Weir's prison cell.

"I'm sorry if I'm not polite, sir. I was sent here by Mr. Pakorn to take care of you. He hasn't been able to get you out yet, because his majesty King Up is so hard to meet and also he doesn't want to talk to anyone. But Mr. Pakorn is still trying to get you out. If his attempt to persuade the noble king Up is unsuccessful, then I will get you out" Weir laughed. He thought everyone was really leaving him, in fact there were still people on his side.
