Chapter 43's

The person who had just walked out of the store was also staring. He was surprised to see Gulf and Mew in front of him now.

"Who are you?" Gill felt familiar with his face.

"Win?" Call Mew who recognizes him immediately.

"You know him?" Gulf immediately looked at Mew suspiciously.

"He Win son of Mr. Pan. He's been a big help when you weren't around, but why are you here?" Win ignored Mew's question. He hurriedly approached the two and immediately knelt down.

"I Win Mettawin son of Mr. Pan saluted his highness" Mew looked at Gulf and he felt the look on Gulf's face was not happy to see him, so he pulled the collar of Win made Mew surprised.

"You're part of them? What are you doing here? Where's Weir?" Win a little trouble to speak, the grip of the Gulf is so strong.

"Gulf relax. We can talk okay. Let him go" Mew held Gulf's hand hoping he'd let go quickly. The annoyed Gulf released him until Win fell down. Mew swiftly helped her, helping her to wake up. Gulf did not like to see the scenery in front of him and he went elsewhere.

Now they are in a very quiet and hidden place. Gulf still looked at him dislike.

"So, why is a student like you in that place at night?" Desperate Gulf.

"I'm investigating something" Win hesitated a little to explain.

"Win did you see the people who went inside?"

"Whose people? I didn't see anybody"

"Look! He lied! You hid it on purpose, didn't you?!"

"Gulf calm!" Mew took over, he left the Gulf behind.

"Can you explain what you're investigating?"

"After hearing of the rebellion, I was worried because my father was in the palace. I was about to catch up to the palace, but some soldiers held me back. I was so grateful when my father returned home safely. My father said that he suspected some high-ranking officials. From the attitude he saw they looked terrified. Tomorrow I go back to the boarding school and I meet Daw, he's Mr. Nat's son. His face looked as if he had been crying all day. When I asked him he said that his father never came back after going to see someone. It was the day before the rebellion. He said that during the day his father secretly left. A curious man followed him and saw his father enter the clothing store. After Daw went inside he didn't find her. So I'm trying to figure out what's in that clothing store. But I didn't find anything, it's just a regular shop"

"I heard Mr. Nat is sick"

"No. It was just a story made to cover up Mr. Nat's disappearance. Daw said that his father never came back"

"It's clear he's dead" the calm Gulf finally responded to the conversation.

"What?! Really true?"

"It looks like Weir revealed his vampire to his followers"

"We'd better go back to the palace. Isn't this morning that noble Up is leaving? You too Win come back too dangerous if you investigate it yourself. Come Gulf" Mew pulled the Gulf to go. He walked past Win with a suspicious look.

Gulf and others gathered in front of the palace to escort Up and Perth away. The officers also escorted his departure.

"You sure you don't want to stay here any longer? We can practice together. Now I'm strong so I can definitely beat you"

"Even if you're strong, but I'm stronger. I can still beat you" Gulf and Up laughed and Up hugged Gulf tightly which he immediately replied.

"If you need help, you can meet me"

"certain. Where's Kara?"

"He should be here" Bright looked for Kara around him.

Before long Kara came with a big bag.

"Why is he here? Shouldn't he be resting?"

"He'll come with you. He's been taking care of me all this time. He must have his own family"

"really? But Kara was sent by my father and he didn't say that Kara was back"

"Tell him I told him to. So don't blame her" Gulf glanced at Kara, the one who had taken good care of her. Gulf looked at him, he was a little unwilling to see him off.

"Your Majesty take care of your health. I am so happy to have served you all this time. Thank you for treating me so well here" Kara saluted Gulf.

"All right then we're off!" Up Command.

"Isn't it too early to gather these people?" His whisper patted Gulf on the shoulder before he boarded his carriage. Gulf just smiled, of course he didn't want to waste time. He must immediately resolve the problem. After Up was far from his sight, he also changed the look of his face. The higher-ups who noticed it, were quite surprised and started shuddering in fear.

Gulf turned around making the higher-ups gasp.

"Gulf, then I should go back around to investigate" Mew felt that only outsiders should resign immediately.

"Phi you're going with me. Bright take them all to the hall" Everyone was surprised, the king also invited outsiders to his meeting. Gulf goes first with Mew following him.

All eyes were on Mew standing next to the Gulf chair. Everyone whispered, they wondered why someone they thought was the mastermind behind all the events that almost harmed the Up king was beside his king.

"Your majesty is pleased to hear that you have returned. How are you doing?" Mr. Pan tried to open the conversation.

"I'm better now. No need to get stale, I don't like it. Just to be honest, do you know him?" Mew glanced at the Gulf.

What the hell does this mean?

He asked if they knew me?

Mew was silent, he still did not understand what the Gulf meant. Gulf saw the response of the people in front of him. Some nodded and some shook their heads.

"Your majesty I've seen him in the palace but I don't know who he is"

"I don't know him that noble"

"Isn't he a hunter?"

"Your majesty I know Mr. Mew. He's a hunter, but because of his abilities he often helps our kingdom" Only Mr. Pan really knows him.

"I heard that you accused him of being the mastermind of yesterday's events. Who said it like that?" All eyes were on Mr. Tanawat.

"Gulf this...." Mew whispers trying to stop him but Gulf raises his hand, hinting him to be quiet. Mew had heard rumors about him and it made it a little difficult for him while on duty to go around looking for Weir's whereabouts. When he asked the people, most of them rejected him and also expelled him.

"Your highness. I just said it without thinking back then. On that day I was too scared and surprised by what happened. Mr. Mew I'm sorry. I really didn't mean to slander you"

"It's okay. I understand enough" Gulf did not understand a little why Mew easily forgave that person. After hearing Bright's explanation back then, of course he was angry that the person had been slandered. Mew can only forgive. He was quite tolerating it because it was indeed in the view of an ordinary person maybe like him who wanted to kill Up back then.

"But your words have spread rapidly" Mr. Tanawat immediately knelt down to ask for forgiveness. At that time he only wanted to divert his target, so no one thought about Weir.

"Well forget it, Mr. Mew has forgiven you. I'll ask you something else. Where's Weir?" Mr. Tanawat was a little jolted. How should he answer?

"I-I don't know your majesty. After he escaped from prison I didn't know his whereabouts" Gulf nodded in understanding. To him, even talking more would be useless. He immediately stood up from his chair and approached the lowered lord Tanawat.

"You sure you don't know?" Mr. Tanawat quivered in fear.

"really. Your Majesty I don't"

Everyone gasped, blood splashing everywhere. Including Mew, he was surprised that the Gulf slashed the man's neck in front of everyone. He did not have time to prevent it as Gulf quickly took out his sword and directly slashed at lord Tanawat. An event that was only an instant was truly unpreventable.

"Ah... My clothes are getting very dirty right now" Mew couldn't stand the Gulf's reckless behavior of killing people. He approached her and immediately pulled the collar of the Gulf suit.

"Gulf what are you doing?!" Gulf of course was surprised by the people around him, including Bright who also approached the two. However, Gulf immediately stopped Bright. Gulf slightly disliked Mew's tone of speech which snapped at him.

Gulf clutching Mew's hand.

"Take me off!" Gulf's remarks are full of emphasis. The two looked at each other.

"Your majesty! Hey you! Get your hands off! Why are you guys just quiet? Keep him away from his majesty!" Mr. Pond ordered the guards on guard to protect the Gulf. But the guards hesitated to approach the two. As well as Bright who had the closest distance, he could do nothing now.

"Shut up!" Gulf pointed at Master Pond without looking at him.

"Mr Mew, let me go!" Once again Gulf told him to let go of his hand. But Mew further tightened his grip.

"You easily kill people in front of everyone?! Is this what you're really doing?!" Gulf laughed and stared intently at Mew.

"You can ask everyone here. This my way. You mind? I'm the king here, so it's up to me to do" Mew gripped even tighter. How could this person before him say such a thing?
