Chapter 40's

Gulf quietly entered the village's security office. Many soldiers stood guard, but he passed through the fence to enter it. Peering over the wall, he could see corpses being identified by several people. Gulf saw First who was busy following the identification process.

First again saw a corpse with the exact same condition. The bite wounds on the necks of the victims reminded him of the vampires he had recently heard. First had already notified the general on duty, but they did not believe him. To prove it, he doesn't know what to do. He hasn't seen the vampires who killed his victims.

"General I told you, this is the terror of vampires"

"It's just a fictional story. You better read more real knowledge books not just fairy tales you read"

First, separate yourself to think. After leaving the city he left aimlessly until he ended up in this village after hearing several murder cases that occurred.

What do they look like? Amongst these people must have been vampires.

First really doesn't know about vampires. The vampire he had met might just be Nick and to him he looked just like any other human.

"Who's there?!" First clasped his sword preparing to take it out. An old man came out of the forest on a slightly lame path. With a swift First approached him helping him to walk.

"Sir why did you come out of that forest? You lost?" The person fell silent and started laughing, staring intently at First which surprised him.

"Yes and I are starving!" First's neck was immediately grabbed and pushed him to the point of being squeezed into a tree. First tried to free himself. He could see if the person in front of him had red eyes with fangs beginning to come out.

Is this what you call a vampire? Damnit damnit! He's so strong.

The vampire approached First's neck to suck his blood immediately. However

He saw the vampire in front of him dead with a stab wound on his chest. The vampire killed himself.

First looked at someone with glowing red eyes far away from him. He could not see his face because the dark atmosphere limited his vision. The man was about to turn around to leave, but First quickly threw his sword that was about to hit him.

"Who are you?"

Gulf was silent on his back. He had no intention of helping her but as her condition grew more urgent, her body seemed to move on its own. He did not care about it and was about to leave immediately when a hand restrained him.

"I asked again. Who're you?"

"Nobody" The grip on his arm grew stronger.

"You killed that vampire?" Gulf did not answer, he was still silent. Until First forcibly removed her jacket hood. First was curious about this person before him.

"You.....!!!" The clutches of his hands were released when he saw someone he was very familiar with.

"Your Majesty" First gave him the salute. He did not think he would meet the Gulf. Even if he doesn't know how to behave. He hated it but he could not show it directly in front of his people. Gulf sighed and turned to look at him.

"Why are you here? The village is quite far from the city. Did Weir tell you to come?"

"No. I came alone because of my wish"

"really? Wh why? You should have studied at your school" Gulf looked at him suspiciously.

"I no longer go to school there. Your Majesty may I ask you something?" First attempted to divert his conversation. Discussing about him, for First is not important and he does not want to bring it up.

"You want to ask me if I'm a vampire or not?" First was quite surprised Gulf knew his point.

"I'm a vampire, but I'm also a human being"

"Why? Your hate for me is getting bigger because I'm a vampire, right?"

"It's okay. A lot of people hate me. Forget about this. Since when did this murder happen?"

"From the information I got. In this village there is often murder, but lately in a day more and more victims. I know it's all vampires but no one believes me"

"Your Majesty, I have taken a sample of his blood. I had to check what poison was in her body" Up nodded and he sat down on the chair next to the bed staring at the worried Kara. Bright enters the room.

"Your majesty I hear the testimony of the kitchen people. They said that Kara was okay and would deliver food for you. I also asked the people closest to Kara. He said before delivering food, he always tasted the food to be served. I think someone's going to poison you, but since Kara ate it so she's the one with the poison" Up clenched her hands. He was angry if one of the men was hurt.

"Investigate who put the poison and I want Weir to be found immediately" Bright and Perth leave after saluting him.

Bright surrendered part of his army to Perth. The two must soon discover Weir's whereabouts.
