The atmosphere seemed to be getting tense. Louis himself had no idea what was happening. Since when did the Gulf get the mark on his back. How did he get rid of it?
"Say what's wrong with my back?!" Gulf asked.
"There's a curse sign. It's my fault I came late. Forgive me, your majesty" Gulf fell silent. He doesn't fully understand. What's the curse mark? What will make him die?
"How can you?"
"I think this curse came from the sword that stabbed you. I just found you after almost a week of your disappearance. I really don't think you're in this place. Forgive me your honor"
"One week? I've been here that long?"
"Actually almost two weeks. After I pluck the sword in your stomach, you're still unconscious"
"What?! What about the palace?!"
"Mr Weir is now leading all of them. Even Bright master was sent to the border. I'm not telling anyone else you've been found and are in this place"
"Weir? He's already acting as he pleases. He even bothers my people. Goddamnit!! I must give her the death penalty!" Said Gulf standing up and walking out. Louis just looked at him, he couldn't stop the Gulf.
...****************...
Gulf finally came out and is now in his office. He looked out the window, each side of the palace was heavily guarded. The resentful Gulf clenched his hand, he took his sword and went out secretly.
Gulf skidded around and saw Weir scolding his subordinates. It is unclear what he was talking about, Gulf felt like he wanted to go up to him and punch his face which was always annoying for him, but he did not want to be too rash. He wanted to know the condition of his palace first.
...****************...
Gulf managed to get out through a secret passage in his room. Even though he was almost caught by the guards. The guard in front of the palace was not very strict because the guards were fighting with the people who were now gathered in front of the palace. Gulf doesn't know what's being debated, but it's his chance to leave. Quietly take a horse and leave. He has to meet Bright.
...****************...
The streets were already dark looking very quiet at night, but he felt that if it was not too late, people should still be wandering around. He saw someone and approached them.
"Sorry sir can I ask you something?" The man looked surprised to see Gulf, not because he knew Gulf was a king, but the appearance of Gulf being heavily covered in his black robe, making him look suspicious.
"Relax master I just want to ask, won't hurt you" the person began to dare look at Gulf.
"The roads here are so quiet. People have gone to sleep?"
"No sir. You better go back. Lately, a lot of people have disappeared and not returned so everyone is back home early"
"Disappeared?"
"Yes. Even my daughter hasn't been back in a week. I don't know where he was taken" The man looked sad and held back his cries. Gulf of course felt pity, he did not know about this matter.
"All right, thanks. You better come back, too, sir. I have to go see my friend" Gulf said. Back on his horse.
...****************...
Gulf up to the border, he hid among the trees and saw passing guards. His eyes were distracted by the man he was looking for. Gulf was delighted to see Bright, but as he stepped in he unbundled his intentions after seeing First approaching Bright.
"Hey who's there?!" Shouting someone made the Gulf shocked and immediately fled. He did not have time to take his horse let alone he saw his horse was surrounded by guards. Unbeknownst to him, someone smothered his mouth and took him away.
...****************...
The rebellious Gulf tried to let go of the man's hand until the man finally released the Gulf and immediately turned his back on it. He was too nervous to see it.
"Who are you?!" Shouting Gulf. That guy's still behind her. Gulf stared at his surroundings he slowly pulled out his sword and prepared to slash it if that person attacked. The man turned his body, of course, making the Gulf look at the person in front of him.
"Gulf" Mew approached the Gulf slowly, looking at him as if he did not believe the Gulf was in front of him at this moment. Mew touched Gulf's silent cheek. Gulf himself he was curious about Mew's chaotic look and his body full of wounds.
Mew immediately hugged Gulf tightly and her cries broke. Gulf slowly lowered his hand that had been brandishing his sword at Mew and slowly returned his embrace.
"Where have you been all this time? I look for you every day but never find you" Mew said. Gulf was silent. Mew let go of his embrace staring at the Gulf, making sure once again that the person in front of him was the Gulf.
"Don't leave me again" Mew pulled Gulf's head and kissed his lips making Gulf round his eyes. Gulf really did not know what he had to do, he pushed Mew strong until he fell and raised his sword again. Looking at him, making Gulf feel guilty had encouraged him.
"W-what are you doing?! Why are you kissing me?! I'm a man, remember?!" Gulf said looking nervous. Increasingly nervous because Mew fell silent to his head.
"Why are you quiet?! Answer me!" Mew looked at him to his surprise, and he stood up.
"I know you're a man! Then why?! I love you no matter if you're a boy or a girl!" Gulf looked at him inexplicably with what Mew was talking about.
"Don't you understand how much I'm worried about you?! You suddenly disappeared without any news! Where have you been all this time?!" Shouted Mew. Gulf just looked at him he was surprised not to think that Mew would yell at him.
...****************...
Mew invited Gulf into his room, he sat down but not with Gulf who was still standing still.
"When do you want to stand there?" Ask Mew.
"I-I think I should go back" Gulf said nervously turning his body.
"Stop!" Gulf gulps his saliva, he doesn't know how to deal with Mew now.
"You owe me an explanation" Gulf calmed himself down and turned his back, but he was surprised Mew was in front of him.
"Keep away from me! You want an explanation?" Gulf said slightly pushing Mew and sat down on the chair followed by Mew.
...****************...
After the Gulf story, of course, Mew was increasingly worried and intended to take off the Gulf shirt.
"What are you doing?" Tanya Gulf held Mew's hand.
"You're hurt. I just want to see it"
"Unlike you, I'm healed. You told me myself I was a vampire" Mew looked at the Gulf in disbelief.
"I'm sorry. I said it too soon without seeing your condition"
"It's not your fault. Youre right. I admit it, even though I didn't think I was human. Does that mean you're gonna wipe me out? You're a vampire hunter" Mew touched Gulf's hand.
"I'm a vampire hunter, but that doesn't mean I have to kill them all. Not all vampires commit crimes" Gulf nods to release Mew's handrails which leaves him a little disappointed.
"I need to see Bright now, you better rest and treat those wounds" Gulf said as he walked towards the exit.
"You're worried about me?" Gulf stop.
"Don't expect" Mew held back his laughter and approached the Gulf.
"I'll come along. Come on" Mew said, ignoring the Gulf.
"No, P'Mew-" Before finishing his speech, Mew immediately pulled Gulf away.
...****************...
Mew and Gulf peek out from behind the trees.
"Why don't you go see him?" Ask Mew.
"can't. I saw First earlier"
"The first? Who's she?"
"Child Weir. He should be in the dorm but if he's outside it must have something to do with Weir" Mew nodded his head at Gulf and put on the hood of his robe. Gulf sees Mew as if to question him.
"At least no one will see your face if caught" Mew said. Gulf did not say much and went back to monitoring the border gate.
...****************...
Moments passed, Bright was never seen by Gulf or Mew.
"Do you usually go to Bright?" Ask Gulf and get a Mew nod in response.
"Why didn't you say it? Go there. See if Bright's inside"
"But I can't leave you"
"Phi. I'm doing fine. I have to meet Bright. I'm waiting for you here" Mew looked at the Gulf unwilling to part with him. He pulled the Gulf's head together and closed his eyes. Gulf looked at him cluelessly, yet he only fell silent.
"Wait me. Don't go anywhere" Gulf just nodded.
...****************...
Gulf fell silent, he did not know what to do with Mew at this time.
"Gulf!" Someone called.
