30 DAYS WITH U

30 DAYS WITH U
9. "LOVER" WHO LIVES NEXT DOOR TO 4

Three hours later, Keila and Andra returned to her apartment after shopping at the market and supermarket. As before, Andra immediately brought all the groceries to Keila's apartment without being asked by Keila. Meanwhile Keila who both hands free, replacing Andra who usually press the button in and out of the elevator.

“Thank you,” Keila said as she walked into her apartment and saw Andra putting all her groceries in Keila's kitchen.

“Yes. This is also for my meal.”

“Then what do you want to have lunch later?” Keila kindly asked because Andra had been very helpful when shopping earlier.

“What do you want to eat?” Andra turned around to ask.

“Ehm. .” Keila thought about what she wanted to eat at noon. “Maybe something light. Because later tonight I intend to make a hot pot with the meat I just bought.”

“Alright then, I'm coming too.” Andra agreed to Keila's plan. “What time is it tonight I have to come here to eat?”

Keila who was arranging groceries in the refrigerator dropped the vegetables she held in surprise at the question from Andra. “HAH?? You're going to eat here???”

“Ya.” Andra nodded her head. “Of course. Didn't you say you were going to eat a hotpot? That means the food has to be hot and that means I have to eat here with you because in my apartment there is no equipment to eat hotpot.”

Keila sighed as she did not expect Andra to easily make such a conclusion. Keila, who was tired from going shopping for three hours, finally agreed with Andra's conclusion. “Jam seven nights. How?”

“Alright then.”

Andra returns to her own apartment while Keila still arranges the groceries she buys in markets and supermarkets. As soon as she finished staring at all the groceries, Keila then cleaned herself up and intended to relax for a moment with her books before preparing lunch for herself and Andra. But Keila's initial intentions change when she receives a call from her best friend Bonita, who suddenly contacts her.

“Halo?” Keila raised the call from Bonita in a soft tone of voice.

“You-Key! How could you not contact me when you were suspended for a month from your office??”

Keila pulled her phone away from her ear when she heard Bonita's loud scream. “Can you not scream, Bonita? My ears hurt hearing your screams.”

“Let's just. You're really mean! Why didn't you tell me when you were suspended for Noah??”

“I-it just happened,” Keila was reluctant to tell her the misfortune that befell her a few days ago. “But. . look on the bright side, I have a lot of free time during this month that I never had before.” Keila shook her head. Where does Bonita know? Is the news about Noah in the news? But. . . indeed Bonita always knew everything. Maybe at the company where I worked there were Bonita and Handra acquaintances who I didn't know and told Bonita.

“You are! You still think I'm a friend, don't you?” Bonita spoke still with a slight shout.

“Of course.” Keila answered Bonita's question quickly. Keila knew the problem would get bigger if Bonita, her best friend, was angry.

“Then this lunch hour, I will wait for you. We eat together.”

“But-“

“No buts. If you still want to be friends with me then come. You know I miss you so much, Keila.”

After saying what she needed to say to Keila, Bonita simply closed her call without giving Keila a chance to speak any further.

Huft. . . Keila exhaled as she glanced at the wall clock in her apartment's living room. No. gabe. I only have an hour to cook and an hour to get ready to meet Bonita.

Keila rushed to her refrigerator and looked at the entire contents of her refrigerator. Something occurred to me when Keila's eyes stopped on the bread in her refrigerator. Forced, I made a sandwich for Andra. Without thinking, Keila took some bread in her refrigerator and some fresh vegetables and meat. Quickly, Keila starts making lunch for Andra before she meets Bonita.

Two hours passed. Keila had already finished a simple meal for Andra's lunch and had also changed into a pretty nice outfit and was quite fashionable as she used to wear when she left for work. Keila grabbed her phone and wallet and then stuffed it into her little sling bag. Carrying Andra's lunch box, Keila walked out of her apartment.

Ting. .tong. . .

Keila rang Andra's apartment bell and as usual, it didn't take long for Andra to get out of her apartment.

Andra looked at Keila from overhead to the end of the shoes she was wearing. “Something suddenly like what you still have time to dress up?”

“Have not asked much more!” Keila pulled Andra's hand and made Andra's hand receive the lunchbox she was carrying. “I have to leave immediately otherwise-“

“You want me to drop off?”

Keila who had yet to finish her sentence was suddenly interrupted by an offer that came out of Andra's mouth all of a sudden. Keila stared at Andra with a look of disbelief. “Then what about your lunch and work?”

“On this,” Andra raised the dining box that was in her hand. “I can eat it in the car. Then for my job, there is no problem if I leave my job one day only.”

“Really?” Keila asked again to be sure.

Andra nodded her head. “Ya.”

“Then, I accept the offer.”

Andra then pulled Keila's hand and gave the lunchbox again to Keila's hand. After doing that, Andra then re-entered her apartment and soon returned to meet Keila after changing into a neat outfit. Andra even combed her hair and styled it to be neater than usual. Andra's appearance, for a moment made Keila who saw him feel fascinated.

“Why are you looking at me like that?” asked Andra who saw Keila keep looking at her.

“I'm surprised.” Keila answers Andra's question after awakening herself from Andra's charm. “Truly surprised. Why do you do your hair, when all this time you always let it look messy?”

“Because you dress like this, then at least I should look neat,” replied Andra who then locked the door of her apartment. After locking the door of her apartment, Andra took back the lunchbox that was in Keila's hands. Andra then led the way towards the elevator. “Come!”

Keila who was following Andra behind him felt doubtful with the answer heard from Andra's mouth. When Keila and Andra were in the elevator, Keila then asked Andra a question. “Are you always this way when you have a lover?”

“Begin how?”

“Well like you just did. Like trying to balance the way your lover dresses when going together.”

“Is that weird?” Andra turned around to ask Keila.

“Ti-no.”

“Then?” Andra asked Keila again.

“Only men usually rarely follow the style of dress of his lover if not go to certain places such as wedding invitations,” explained Keila based on his experience.

“Ah really?”

“Therefore I ask you, Andra.” Keila repeated her unanswered question by Andra. “Do you usually do this to your lover?”

“Yes, seeing you out in a dress up is impossible for me to walk you around wearing shorts and flip-flops isn't it?”

Keila let out her breath feeling relieved. “Already expected, you must have many lovers.”

“My love is just you, Keila. I've never had another lover besides you.”

Elevator door opens. Andra walked out while Keila was still frozen in shock at what she had just heard from Andra's mouth. With a confused and incredulous look, Keila looked towards Andra who was walking out of the elevator. Keila was frozen still until the elevator door that opened slowly closed. He must be lying. He must have a lot of lovers out there. What is said now must be just a way to play me. Handsome guy seems to have a lot of lovers out there,

Andra stopped the elevator door that was almost closed again and made Keila aware of her freezing attitude. Keila walked out of the elevator and saw Andra's hand that was about to hold her hand. Keila moved away from Andra's hand trying to hold her hand as she said, “Stop playing me, Andra! I'm not your lover!”
