56. SEVEN WISHES 1

That day. .since meeting that Big Brother, my empty life began to regain its spirit. Just as my day was always filled with rain, for the first time I found a rainbow in my life: a living rainbow that only existed for me. 

Since that meeting, I made a promise to myself: I will change myself and survive this hard life. I will change and show him that what he has done to me is not a futile act.

“What do you want Mr Rafandra?” Liam looked confusedly at me. 

“Don't I stop you from calling me in addition said Mister??” I reply while looking back. It's been a warning that I don't know how many times that number is until I forget the exact number. I really hate it when Liam calls me Master. 

“Ah, sorry. Again sorry. I will try to call directly by the name Rafandra.” 

I smiled and said, “Good.” 

“Then why are we here? To this expensive salon?” Liam repeated the question that I had not been able to answer. 

“I once promised someone to survive in my own way. Therefore, I came here. To change my appearance and make others reluctant to make me into their mockery.” 

Liam nodded his head in understanding. “That person must be the one who was the reason why you helped me?” 

I'm nodding. “Ya, that guy.” I then waved my hand to one of the employees in the salon. 

“There can I help you with, Mister?” A young male employee came up to me and said politely. 

“I want to change my appearance.” 

“What appearance do you want?” The officer asked me. 

For a few seconds I thought about the character I wanted and who would help me to become someone strong. “Cold appearance, which can make people talk to me. Can I make something like that?” 

The employee smiled at me while watching a part of my face. “I can do it, but there are conditions.” 

“What is it?” manya curious. 

The clerk took off the glasses I was wearing and said to me with a smile on his face, “Master should throw this away.” 

Not long after that I sat down in the salon chair and started to remodel my appearance, especially on my face. First of all, the salon clerk cut my messy hair and was a little long. After changing my hair mode, the salon employee then gave treatment to my face. The activity lasted for about four hours. Liam who was usually patiently waiting even a few times accidentally fell asleep on the chair. 

“Liam!” I called out to Liam and tried to wake Liam who was asleep in the chair while waiting for me. 

“Ya, Sir??” liam replied with his eyes still half closed. 

Liam who heard my slightly screaming tone of voice then opened his eyes completely and looked at me. “Sorry. I don't want Liam-“ to stop his words and look up at me. 

I know what Liam's gaze means. That look was exactly the same as the gaze of the salon employee who had changed my appearance. “What do you think, Liam? Does this fit me?” 

Liam nodded his head answering my question. “I-this is really amazing. It felt like a stranger was standing in front of me. Your appearance has completely changed and maybe people won't recognize you again when they meet you.” 

“Good then.” I then turned my gaze and looked at the salon employee who managed to change my appearance within four hours. “Can you change my friend's appearance too?” 

The salon employee then looked at Liam intently and asked me. “What kind of appearance do you want?” 

I then looked at Liam who looked like a nerdy kid whose appearance was not far from me. For a moment, I was trying to find out what Liam's strengths were if he wanted to change his appearance. Then. . I was reminded of some of the girls who secretly liked Liam. “Make him look charming. I heard some girls say that my friend has a warm smile. What say?” 

The salon employee then nodded her head. “I agree, Sir. If compared with Master, this friend of Master does have a smile and a warm face.” 

“Alright then please help.” 

The salon employee then pulled Liam to sit on the chair where my appearance was changed earlier. Liam who felt like he didn't want to change his appearance then nagged at me for the first time. 

“Master! Why am I sitting here too? I'm fine with my appearance.” 

I smiled back at Liam. “Didn't you say you want to follow me in return, then just shut up and sit there, Liam!” 

About five years later. . .

“Director sure want to stop now?” 

Liam asked me when I heard my words to stop coming to visit the bridge that I always go to. “Yes, I'll stop. It's been too long. It was impossible to find that brother again. When I remember the past, it feels like I was really stupid because I forgot to ask her name. If only I knew his name, maybe I wouldn't have trouble like this to find him.” 

“Could that person work out of town?” Liam asked me. 

“Maybe.” I replied in a weak tone. “It looks like that's what happened. Although I visited this city several times and came to this bridge, I never met him. Now. . . I was transferred to work in this city, it feels really shitty.” 

Staring at the view from the bridge, my eyes were fixed to the edge of the river where I once sat there together with my savior brother. It's been five years since that incident and during those five years, I've always failed to find her figure. And this time. . . I feel like I want to give up waiting for someone who might even be impossible for me to find. That day. . . I intend to end my search to find my savior and show him that I have changed like his message to me. 

“There is no harm in changing your appearance, big glasses sister. You can change your hairstyle and take off those thick glasses. Maybe by doing that, bully friends will no longer find a reason to work on you like they did earlier. It's not always that people like me are around you and helping you. If you can help yourself, then try it.” 

I smiled remembering the words of the brother. You should be here, brother. You should be here and see how I look right now. As you said, I can now protect myself and no one dares to prank me. You should have been here and seen that your words really saved me. I hope at least. .I can see you once again even if it sounds impossible.
