49. SECRET OF LOVERS 1

Later that night, Keila deliberately waits for Andra's return to listen to Andra's explanation of her dishonesty and her reasons for hiding her identity to Keila even though Keila has several times asked him questions. But until ten o'clock at night, Keila still did not hear the sound of Andra's apartment door opening. Keila finally decided to go to bed and postpone her desire to listen to Andra's explanation of her dishonesty all along. 

The next morning, Keila who was about to leave for work threw away her sense of regret to Andra and came to Andra's apartment first. Keila intends to ask Andra to drive her to the office as usual as well as talk. But when Keila knocked on the door of Andra's apartment several times to wait for almost ten minutes, Keila's call didn't get an answer–as if Andra wasn't in her apartment. 

Keila who feels waiting will make her come late to the office then decides to leave for the office by public bus, without Andra. Throughout the bus trip, Keila repeatedly checks her phone and makes sure that maybe Andra has been irrigating the message but is missed by it. But dozens of times Keila checked, dozens of times that Keila also saw his phone did not receive a message from Andra. A feeling of worry then came over to Keila. Where are you, Andra? Why haven't you given any news at all? Didn't you say you'd meet me and give me an explanation for everything? So where are you now? You don't usually disappear without first telling. 

Keila's mind just kept raging. Keila felt guilty because yesterday did not reply to a message from Andra asking her to give her time. At the same time Keila felt afraid that Andra would suddenly just disappear. 

“Kak Key!” 

Keila's shoulders flinched when she heard her name being called by someone. Keila, who had just walked four steps from the bus stop in front of her company building, turned her head to look at the voice calling her name. 

“. . . Why are you daydreaming so early in the morning, brother? Did something happen?”

Keila looked at Irene who was already suddenly standing two steps away from her. Keila then smiled before replying to Irene. “I'm just a little sleepy.” 

“Really??” Irene asked who did not believe it. “By the way why did you get off the bus? Isn't Brother usually ushered by the Director??” 

Hearing Andra's name being called by the Director by her partner, made Keila feel a little strange. Right, he was one of the few directors in the company where I worked. He disappeared suddenly there must be something urgent happening.

“Oh it. . a-I'm going to leave by myself,” Keila replied lying. 

“Jadi. . . Brother is still angry at the Director??” Irene asked with a serious face. 

Getting angry?? Of course I'm still angry. Unfortunately my anger has not been able to explain and Andra disappeared without news. If he appears in front of me, can I hit him in the head just once? Keila vented her anger at Andra in her own mind. “Te-of course, I'm still mad.” 

“Then what is the reason for the Director to approach Brother and hide his identity during this time when the Director has been Brother's lover for several months??” ask Irene again. 

Hearing Irene's question, Keila then spoke to herself in her mind. I don't know. I want to ask Andra that too. I also want to ask the reason behind all his actions so far to me. Hiding his identity from me. Sending a bouquet of flowers on every tenth date and becoming my secret fan. At the same time Keila's memory brings to some of his memories where he who felt a little curious about the bouquet of flowers that he always received every tenth. 

I also wanted to ask, was his appearance as my helper when Noah attacked me a coincidence or not? Keila's memories then lead Keila to the incident where Keila met Andra first and heard the word “lover” from Andra's mouth trying to save her from Noah. 

I also wanted to ask, is Andra who lives right next to my apartment a mere coincidence or not? Keila's memory then takes Keila on a night where Keila feels Andra is her stalker who follows her to her apartment. And the next day Keila discovers that Andra is the one who lives right next to her apartment. 

Many questions kept coming to Keila's mind along with Keila's memory puzzle pieces along with Andra. I also wanted to ask, is the job given to me to cook food for him a plan from him to approach me? Keila's memories then play back to Andra when Andra gives her a job during her suspension. 

Andra nodded her head. “Yes, I heard it. So since you don't have a job for a month, then I'll come every day for breakfast here.” 

“Then. . What if I give you money to shop for groceries when I eat here?” 

Keila looked at Andra with a probing look. “Do you have no job?” 

“I work from home this month. So I have a lot of free time. How?” 

I also want to ask, are all the things you've been saying to me all this time really how you feel? Keila's memory then leads Keila to several events where she spends time with Andra. 

Keila looked at her hand held by Andra's hand with a look of wonder, “Why are you holding my hand??” 

“Didn't you say don't stay away from you?” Andra raised Keila's hand which she held. “This is my way of not being far from you.” 

Another memory then came to Keila's mind who still could not answer Irene's question. You said walking with me holding my hand was fun.

“Yes, that's true. But that's not what I mean by fun.” 

“If not that then what?” Keila asked with a mouth full of food. 

“Walking with you by holding your hand, that's what I call fun.”

Keila's memories along with Andra kept coming in a short time–like a movie that spins at high speed play all Keila's memories together with Andra. You said I was the rainbow you could see every day. 

“Not so I mean.” Andra replied with a smile on her lips while looking at Keila. “Because every day I have seen a rainbow, so the rainbow that appears this time does not look attractive to me.” 

“What do you mean?” Keila was confused by Andra's reply. “Is there a rainbow that pops up every day? Didn't you see wrong?” 

“There, you.” Andra smilingly looked at Keila who was looking at her with a confused look. “For me, you are the rainbow that gives color to my life. You're the rainbow I see every day and I hope to keep seeing it for the rest of my life

The questions kept spinning in Keila's mind. Then the short film then plays the first scene where Keila first met Andra when Andra helped her from Noah. Could it be that time? Could it be that the meeting was not a mere coincidence as I thought before? 

Keila then remembered a small fact that he had forgotten. A fact that became the reason Keila spent her time together with Andra: a thirty-day suspension from the Director where she worked. Recalling the incident a new question then popped into Keila's mind, a question that made Keila really want to meet and ask Andra as soon as possible. Could it be that the person who had me suspended for thirty days was you, Andra?? 

If she could, Keila would very much like to ask Andra right now. Unfortunately. . . Andra still did not give any news and Keila was reluctant to meet Andra at the office because gossip about her and yesterday's events still stuck in the minds of the company employees.
