Batari Mahadevi and Jalu had two days of meditation on the holy altar page of the city of Dhyana. Through meditation, the two experienced something similar. First, they absorbed the same earth energy and came from within the holy altar. Second, they met another figure of the holy altar guard in meditation.
In the meditation that is being done Batari Mahadevi, the figure of Agrapana's grandfather manifested as white smoke that changed its form. Batari Mahadevi can recognize the figure easily through the radiance of energy that he captures when the figure presents itself.
“Grapana.” Batari Mahadewi.
“Hahaha, you recognize me easily young lady.” Said the grandfather.
“What will grandfather teach me?” ask Batari Mahadevi.
“Do I look like I'll teach you something?” Reply to the grandfather.
“I am sure so, grandfather, until grandfather had to meet me in this way.” Answer Batari Mahadevi.
“You are my grandson special. I don't know if you should study for me or if I should study for you. Maybe you look in the form of a little girl, but to me you are not.” Said the grandfather.
“I can no longer even believe who I am, grandfather. Maybe grandpa's the first person I'll show you something.” Batari Mahadewi. He showed his hands and feet that looked like gold-colored metal.
“I. But this hand is not a human hand. No creature in the middle world has this kind of body. You should be from heaven. But in fact, even gods do not have such a form, unless they disguise their form. But I'm sure you're not a god in disguise. If you don't know who you are, maybe it's not time.” Said the grandfather.
“But I am afraid, grandfather, I am afraid one day I will be a catastrophe.” Batari Mahadewi.
“Should not. But only you alone can determine your future.” Said the grandfather.
“Kakek...” says Batari Mahadewi.
“Ya..” Answer the grandfather.
“How long has grandfather kept this altar?” ask Batari Mahadevi.
“Maybe almost 1000 years.” Answer the grandfather.
“Is it possible for humans to live that long?” ask Batari Mahadevi.
“Only if the man has already exceeded his limits.” Answer the grandfather.
“Can grandpa teach me about it?” Ask Batari Mahadevi.
“Then what about humans? Much the same. But we have a mind, we have a desire, we have intelligence. Those things can be limitless, but that's where the limits are. The mind, for example, always limits us, creates fears, creates impossibilities, then we will be stranded on those limits.”.
“Our bodies can be immortal, but they can also be short-lived. There's a path we need to take. As a swordsman, maybe this is not foreign to you, we should be able to absorb earth energy. Fused with earth. So, we can all continue to live as long as the earth still provides energy for us.” Grandpa still told me.
“But our mind already knows, that this body has its limits, that to live is to eat. As long as we live that way, our lives are short. Our bodies are vulnerable. Then our body dies, and the energy we store in that body will manifest spirit, the energy without a container before the human spirit will look for its new form whether as a demon, devil, plant, animal, or animal, or human. All beings come from the same thing, then manifest in different forms.” Grandpa sighed.
“Until here do you understand?” ask the grandfather.
“I still follow him, grandpa.” Answer Batari Mahadevi.
“The matter of the body you will understand by yourself if you are able to penetrate the boundaries of your mind. Right now, your mind is still in the stage of figuring out who you are. Then you have to finish this first.” Said the grandfather.
“We can know ourselves by reflecting. Through things that can reflect your shadow, through others who will tell you who you are, judge you, insult you, praise you, that's you. You according to others, you are according to a mirror that reflects your reflection. But it wasn't you. It is your shadow, the impression of your presence, the illusion of your own self. It is the truth, indeed, that you cannot resist and the only initial foothold that makes you know yourself.” Said the Grandpa.
The grandfather continued his explanation, “So, later there will be two things to understand me-ness in each of us. First, I-I was when we could say I was. For example, I am Agrapana. Second, when we know the I-I-ness of the reflected mirror of our life. For example, I am a hermit, the guardian of this sacred altar, an old grandfather.”
“We live in a world of language, my grandson, a world we can only understand if we have known language. Through language, we know ourselves, we know our world, we understand all knowledge. This empty world becomes meaningful simply because of language. Man interprets himself and his world only through language. Our minds are shaped through the language of reason” said the grandfather.
“But actually, the language is limited. There are a lot of things that can't be said. There is a great thing that becomes small when it is spoken. For example, you feel sad. You can easily express your feelings in one word, sad. Meanwhile, the sad you mean is much broader than the word sad itself. In this case, the language can not fully divide the world.” Said the Grandpa.
“Can you imagine, if our lives depend on language, our minds depend on language, then we are certainly very limited. Our thoughts that have been formed from language are what limit us, our breadth as human beings. It's a dilemma, on the one hand we can't live without language, but on the other hand we become limited, we create boundaries with our world.” Said the grandfather.
“Again, you can know yourself through the medium of language, but you will never fully understand yourself if you only see, only recognize yourself in that way. Only through emptiness, only through a meaningless world, a world beyond language, will you understand yourself better. I think that's what you're gonna have to pursue. Absorb all energy and knowledge as far as you can.” Grandpa said he ended his advice.
“I'm not sure I can understand this right now, grandpa. But I will not stop learning.” Batari Mahadewi.
“Alright, after this you can finish your meditation. You can go to the holy altar to cleanse yourself.” Said the Grandfather who slowly disappeared from the sight of Batari Mahadewi.
‘Ah, who is that grandpa? I get both enlightenment and darkness at the same time. emptiness? World outside languages?’ Batin Batari Mahadevi's. He opened his eyes, breathing the air around him. Everything seems a little different.
