Pendekar Batari Mahadewi: The Journey to Find Your Self
Episode 46 The Poet of Death

When they were still bouncy from one branch to another within that forest, it suddenly felt a powerful radiance of energy. Jalu, Niken, and Batari Mahadewi stopped their journey.

“It looks like there's a fight in this forest.” Batari Mahadewi.

“Yes, I also felt it earlier.” Said Jalu.

“Three against one. All from black.” Batari Mahadewi.

“Are we waiting for the fight to finish then continue the journey again?” Ask Niken.

“If we continue the journey in this way, our energy radiance will be read. They may know of our presence. But they must be busy fighting this time.” Said Jalu. Batari Mahadevi had set his eyes forward, sharpening his hearing as far as he could reach. At such times, Jalu and Niken preferred to be quiet, waiting for his sister who was reading the situation. They ultimately believe his brother's unnatural behavior to find out something is always accurate.

“There is one surviving swordsman. Maybe he was attacked by 3 people. The fighter is highly trained. He just left. Her energy transmission has been lost.” Batari Mahadevi said what he knew.

“According to sister, should we check the victims of that fight?” Ask Jalu.

“Ya, I want to know more.” Batari Mahadewi. “But we'd better wait a moment.” Further.

The three of them waited while recovering the energy they used to make the journey. The forest they passed through was covered with large trees hundreds of years old. An ideal place for a beast to nest. If you want to look behind moist foliage on the surface of the ground, then a centipede the size of a human arm can be easily obtained.

A short while later, the three of them went towards the origin of the energy they had captured. They found three bodies of the swordsman. No scars or blows. They died glaring with gaping mouths, like they had just seen something so terrible.

Once again Batari Mahadewi read the traces of the fight. He silently looked at a point. Then he said, “against these three warriors is terrible. Have you ever heard of a warrior who fights with spells? Or verse? I think that's the culprit.”

“Death Poem...” says Jalu. Her feather stood up as she said that name.

“Isn't he the legendary swordsman of the black faction who has lived for over 200 years? Teacher once told me about it.” Said Niken.

“Ya..breeder with a strange ability, who kills his opponents with words alone. But even though he's black, he kills anyone he doesn't like. Even his own golong.” Said Jalu.

“Yes, he is a wandering swordsman who lives alone, without a teacher, without a student, and without friends.” Added Niken.

“Sadik has found something?” Tanya Jalu to Batari Mahadevi.

“Which sister says everything is right. Only, the swordsman could not fight. He has only the science of lightening the body, and the verse of death. I saw the character of death that is still attached to the body of three warriors this” said Batari Mahadewi.

Suddenly an energy shot towards the three of them at high speed. A fat man with a large chain wrapped around his body appeared.

“You killed these three brothers?” Said the man in a cruel tone.

“Not us the culprit. We just got here.” Said Jalu calmly.

“You are from the white group? Whoever the killer is, I won't let you get out of this forest.” Said the man.

“We are from Cemara Seribu padepokan. Who is this master swordsman?” Ask Jalu with a smile.

“I'm a Life-Lifting Chain Swordsman from Black Moon college. Before me or you died here, you know who killed my younger brother?” Ask the swordsman.

“People Swordsman Poetry of Death. If he's still here, we're all in big trouble.” Said Jalu still in a calm tone even though he knew the swordsman in front of him was about to challenge to fight.

“Yes, I believe you're not the killers of my younger brother. Then we will do an honorable fight as a swordsman.” The swordsman said in a softer tone.

“Then, with whom did master swordsman choose an opponent from the three of us?” Said Jalu.

“If the three of you want to attack me together, I don't mind. But if one by one, maybe me and you can start.” Said the man. He thought Jalu was the best of the three of them.

“Alright then. Let's just get started. I'm ready.” Said Jalu. He began to radiate his energy then created a fire sword in his right hand. The Swordsman of the Lifesaving Chain was a little shocked by the change in the young man before him.

“You fire swordsman! Hmm..this is interesting.” The swordsman said. He then untangled the huge chains that wrapped around his body and drained the energy inside so as to make the chains move on their own, weaving around like a huge snake ready to grab its prey.

The Swordsman of the Lifeless Chain instantly attacked without further ado. His life-extracting chain snatched and chased after Jalu who continued to dodge. Some trees fell as a result of the impact of the chain.

Jalu fended off the chains that led to him with her energy sword. It was flowing with enough energy so that its sword could split every single link that came towards it. Swordsman Chain Lifter quite motionless to see his weapon broken. He increased the flow of energy so that Jalu's sword could not split the chain.

Seeing that, Jalu used another way. He attacked at high speed from close range to launch several attacks. The fat warrior was not agile enough to avoid Jalu's attack. Twice he fell because of a kick Jalu that leads to his chest.

Swordsman Chain Lifesaver does not want to be constantly attacked from close range. He made a rotating movement with the chains that came spinning around his body. Not only there, he moved forward to attack Jalu with his chain rotation style.

Avoid each attack easily. He wanted to quickly finish the fight which was not too difficult for him. Jalu created bursts of flames from both of his palms. His opponent's iron chain became burning red.

Swordsman Chain Lifter screamed hot and then he released his chain which was still red smoldering. He knows he has lost. As long as he could, he ran away. He left his chain there.

“Kukira he's a man. Turns out his guts weren't as big as his body.” Said Jalu.

“He still loves his life.” Said Niken.

“I've never even heard his name.” Jalu

“Many black warriors are like that.” Said Niken. “Then now what will we do?”

“We continue the journey. Maybe we'll be lucky if we don't meet the warrior Verse of Death.” Said Jalu.

“It's better so.” Batari Mahadevi agreed to Jalu's proposal.

“Then let's get out of here as soon as possible.” Said Jalu.

They then bouncy again from one tree to another and continued as if the forest had no end. As long as the sun hadn't sunk, they wouldn't have to worry about getting lost in the forest. While on the way, they felt the same great energy as before. The energy radiated for just a moment, then disappeared again.

The three of them stopped for a moment, then decided to continue the journey. A short while later, the three of them found the corpse of the Swordsman of the Lifeless Chain had been lying on the ground. He died in the same way as his three younger brothers.

“The Hero of Death is still in this forest. I think he wants to play us.” Said Jalu.

“We continue the journey, brother. Stay alert.” Batari Mahadewi.

The three of them finally reached the edge of the forest. In front of them was a fairly large and bustling village. They feel a little relieved. But they were unconscious, from afar a pair of eyes continued to follow and watch over them without them noticing. Even Batari Mahadevi was unable to feel his presence.
