Episode 41 Wind and Ice
The two young warriors exchanged greetings, then put up horses, read the movements of the opponents and prepared to attack or dodge the attack. Ajiraga begins the first attack. He glided quickly and directed several combinations of attacks towards the body of Pancala.
Pancala did not make any movement. He remained silent on his position until the attack landed on his body. Ajiraga was very surprised because what he hit turned out to be only the shadow of Pancala. Ajiraga was even more surprised because Pancala was already behind him, lifting his body up with a dense and strong wind vortex.
Ajiraga did not remain silent, as he was thrown into the air, he created a veil of air that surrounded his body. The veil resembled a large ball of sky blue. Slowly the ball enlarges and explodes, resulting in a loud bang that leads to Pancala. Simultaneously with the explosion, Ajiraga hurtled at high speed and directly attacked Pancala who had just held off the explosion of the air ball that Ajiraga created.
Ajiraga's counterattack left Pancala unable to fend off without being able to counterattack for a while. Pancala increasingly pressed to the lips of the arena. There is no other choice, he has to issue the ultimate style even though it is still early. A style that has never been used by the Upper Cloud community.
Ajiraga and everyone in the arena never expected, Pancala let out a whirlwind through his mouth. The whirlwind wrapped around Ajiraga's body and slammed him down so many times that Ki Elang Langit stopped the match.
“Enough. Winner Pancala.” Said Ki Eagle Sky. The audience is gawking with the new style they know although it is actually very possible for them to do that style. At least, Pancala was the first to have done so.
Although winning, but Pancala not entirely satisfied. He wants to use that style in the final round because once others see the style, then the next Pancala opponent can make certain attack calculations to counteract the style.
The Pancala style actually has the same mechanism as the Jalu fire breath. It's just a different shape. If Jalu can spout fire, then Pancala spews a whirlwind.
The match finished quickly. Ki Elang Langit again announced the closing match. “Before my brothers and sisters disperse on this day, in closing, then we will all witness again the friendly match between Miss Niken Sekar Purnama, he said, the swordsman of the Ice Tread from the Thousand Spruces paddle against Nyi Bestari, the swordsman of the Wind Sword from the Eastern Sky college.”
The audience is back to surprise. Nyi Bestari had not appeared in the village of Upper Clouds for a long time. It is said that he was doing semedi somewhere to perfect his knowledge. Niken and Nyi Bestari stepped into the arena. The two said their greetings, introduced themselves, and began to put up the horses. The air around the arena slowly began to feel cold. Small ice floes around Niken's body. Some spectators who realized it preferred to step aside and look at the match from a distance.
The big change from Niken's improved ability was his eyeballs that turned blue when he radiated his energy. The ice grains he created also became harder. Niken did not create ice forms that have pointed and sharp sides considering that the match was a friendly match.
Nyi Bestari's two hands emitted a blue light, then the light further elongated and formed an energy sword made of dense air with no gaps and encased by power in high strength.
Looking at the blue radiant energy sword in both of Nyi Bestari's hands, Niken also created two ice swords in her right and left hands. The two swords emanated the same light as Nyi Bestari's sword. Niken and Nyi Bestari attacked simultaneously. The two played a sword like a beautiful dance, attacking, dodging, restraining, and splashing powerful energies each time the two different types of elemental swords clashed against each other.
Both of them increased the speed so that what was visible to the naked eye were sparks of blue light surrounding the two fighting warriors. Nyi Bestari lures Niken to fight in the air. Nyi Bestari's speed when fighting in the air was definitely no match for Niken. For a moment Niken seemed overwhelmed before he finally stopped the series of high-speed attacks with flickering ice balls.
Nyi Bestari retreated to avoid the attack of the e situ balls, he then created a whirlwind to fend off the attack and smashed each chunk of ice balls created into dust. Niken stopped the attack. He knew what he was doing was in vain.
Nyi Bestari smilingly caught the face of his opponent who looked confused determine the step, then he created six pillars of whirlwind that surrounded Niken.
Niken knew he had lost to the graceful woman who was his opponent. But he does not want to give up just like that. He wanted to show as well as test the limits of the strength he had. Niken exerted more cold energy and turned those vortex pillars of wind into ice. The siege of the wind pillar stopped moving and then collapsed and shattered into pieces into small chunks of ice.
The audience was amazed. Never before had he seen anyone turn a whirlpool of air into ice as Niken did. Nyi Bestari was no less surprised. He did not expect that the young lady before him could easily stop the whirlwind he created.
But what Niken did was not without consequences. His power's drained. He only had one chance to use his ultimate strength by lifting the scattered fragments of ice and pointing towards Nyi Bestari. But he didn't do that. He prefers to give up.
“I give up Aunt Bestari. My energy is up..I don't think it's possible for me to continue this match.” Said Niken. Despite losing, but in the eyes of the audience, Niken is a young ice swordsman who has terrible strength. The audience applauded the beautiful match which was the closing match of the day.
